Very personable, knowledgeable, and did a great job with my hip surgery.

Dr. Heckler is the absolute best. He is honest and provides excellent care. He is patient centered and will go above and beyond to meet his patients needs.

Wouldn't work with anyone else!

Was able to get in right away and talk with Dr. Heckler about a recent injury. He was very helpful and ready to get me answer's on what the cause of injury is.

Replaced my knee, and doing the other knee next week. I highly recommend Dr Heckler. Cares about his patients . Very good experience.

Dr. Heckler is great. He’s very easy to talk to and goes into great detail that is easy to understand. Office staff is friendly and efficient, especially Lori Ward.

Dr. Matthew Heckler is a very knowledgeable doctor and takes time to listen and explain thing well.

He accidentally stitched through my child’s nerve and left him with drop foot during a meniscus repair. He said another surgery would be a 50/50 shot and he had zero responsibility for what happened… well he has 100% responsibility and stitching through a nerve has caused much pain and suffering for my former soccer player who may never play again. Too bad he never brought this as a possibility to the table, we would have done corrective surgery much sooner! Cocky and unwilling to admit it could have been his mistake caused a delay that may cause permanent damage, not to mention mental anguish. Find someone else.

I will recommend Dr. Matthew Heckler to anyone that will listen. Fabulous bed side manner, caring, very knowledgeable. His entire staff are the best. I had both hips replaced within 6 months of each other and both times was able to walk out of the hospital and back to work in 2 weeks each time. The Best !!!! Dr. Heckler performed my hip replacement surgery in Nov 2018. Dr. Heckler was straight forward, he and his staff did an amazing job. Physical therapy was seamless and I was back in action within a few months. I would recommend Dr. Heckler to anyone.

Dr. Heckler did two knee replacements and a rotator cuff surgery for me. He is extremely talented and very personable. Absolutely no complaints from me. If needed, I will go back to Dr. Heckler without hesitation. I will recommend him to anyone for any procedures he performs.

Dr. Heckler was professional, thorough, and knowledgeable. He performed arthroscopic knee surgery on me and did a fantastic job! I feel great! I am back to running and living life to the fullest. I 100% recommend Dr. Heckler and his team to anyone needing orthopedic care.

Excellent doctor! Had knee replacement then hip replacement 11 months later. I have complete trust in him and would recommend him to anyone. He not only took great care of me medically, he cares about me as a person. My quality of life has improved so much, don’t be afraid of joint replacement, don’t put it off. I credit Dr. Heckler with saving my life, as I was in so much physical pain that I had sunk into serious depression. He’s an awesome doc and a wonderful person!

Something just didn't feet right about his pushing me into joint replacement surgery. So I checked with another surgeon who was rated highly and sure enough, I did not need surgery yet, we would start with shots and maybe clean up the meniscus in the knee later if needed. GET A SECOND OPINION.

Dr Heckler replaced both my knees and did a remarkable job each time. Great bedside manner , knowledgeable, in my opinion, the best!! Highly recommended.

i had a total knee replacement done in dec of 2019 was very happy with the results i had a right knee replaccment done march 10th of 2020 i cant say enough good things about this dr he had flowers at the hospital both times for me prior to surgery what a lovely thing to do !!! i would highly recommend him for anyone wanting ortho surgery hes the best !!!! :)

I have never met a more rude person. Unwilling to spend any time with my wife, the patient. She asked him to answer a question and he actually said no and walked out. We were in shock.

Dr. Heckler was great. Had an extensive tibia break. Surgery went very well. Dr Heckler easy to work with, gave realistic view of recovery, communicates very well, he’s practical, thorough and no nonsense.

Excellent job! My knee has been bad most of my life due to a childhood injury. When I slipped on ice in 2012, I fractured the tibia and blew my kneecap into several pieces. He repaired the knee with great results and in 2014 replaced the knee. I couldn't be happier. Bedside manner is awesome and staff are helpful too. Excellent job! I highly recommend Dr. Heckler and his staff to anyone! They took excellent care of my 15 yr old son after his meniscus was torn from a football injury. He and the staff made us feel comfortable, cared for and took their time and never made us feel rushed. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would !! Heckler seems knowledgeable, but he did a TOTAL HACK JOB on my hip! He put in too large of a prosthetic which lengthened my leg. I have to wear a lift in my shoe now. I have a lot of pain from all of my muscles, tendons and IT band being stretched, my leg will collapse at times. He has totally blown this off. My experience at Grandview hospital was nothing short of a nightmare, beginning in pre-op and throughout my 4 day stay there never again! Do yourself a HUGE favor and run the other way

He was the most wonderful caring Doctor I ever had! I came from out of state to have him do my hip surgery. He is awesome!

Always about the money then once they have it , they don't return your call to schedule your appointment. They are rude, and I'll leave it at that. All about thete self and screw the patient.
