I was given a referral in Nov 2021, My first appt was 2/4/22. I went in and was said that I would be scheduled for a total knee replacement. They gave me the documents I needed to get signed and I had to jump through so many hoops. I called the nurse's hotline every day for 2 weeks to be told that the paperwork was not right. I then made another appt. with VA and had it sent. This was in September. She told me I was scheduled for surgery on Feb 23,23. I did the course they signed me up for in Jan. 2 weeks before surgery I called every day and left messages, and again they couldn't be bothered to call me back. So I called his appointment line and the nurse told me that I was never scheduled and my referral from VA expired in May. They never told me so I could get it extended I never felt like a priority. I guess they don't get enough money from VA so they ignored me and could have cared less about my care. I have called VA and am going to another Dr. Outside of UC Davis.

He is such a caring surgeon! I'm 32 and had both hips replaced in 2017. He took such great care of me and I'm going back to see him for my knee replacements in 2022.

Dr. Giordani is the best surgeon I have ever been to! He thinks outside the box and will find out what the problem is. I have had 2 knee replacements .1 torn quad tendon that the radiologist missed ! Dr. Giordani went back and looked at it and he saw the tear . Dr. Giordani is very thorough and he really cares about all his patients. I will never go to anyone else . He is truly more than 5 stars and I will refer him to family and friends.

Dr Giordani was one of the four top orthopedic specialists I saw in Northern CA. He is the only one who examined me and rotated my hip after looking at the X-ray. The only one to find torn tendons prior to surgery. He was kind, personable, patient and he did a perfect job. I’m not effusive about doctors but I couldn't give a higher recommendation

Absolutely the best surgeon I have met. Very professional and caring. I’ve had both of my knees replaced and I feel great. Dr. Giordani is an excellent surgeon and a very nice man. I enjoy going to see him for my follow up visits. I highly recommend him for your orthopedic needs!!

Excellent Doctor, communicator and Orthopedist. Hip replacement went exactly as described and planned. No complications or problems.

Dr Giordani did my revision surgery June 12, 2018. I had two torn tendons (gluteus medius & minimus). I wish I had gone to him for my first hip surgery last July. The difference between he and the other doctor who performed my first surgery is like night and day. Dr G. genuinely cares for his patients. He took his time with me during my appointments and addressed all of my questions and concerns. The pre-op and post-op care that I received was excellent. I am blessed to have had him as my surgeon this time. He arranged home health care (1 PT and 1 nurse to come check on me twice a week) he had me stay over night at the hospital and even sent an occupational and physical therapist to my hospital room before I was released. They made sure I left the hospital with the proper equipment (the right walker and a toilet seat riser). Last year’s pain was excruciating, this time I haven’t had to take that many pain pills. My incision looks way better and there’s no bruising whatsoever. He really exceeded my expectations. I hope he is still around in the next two years because I will eventually need my right hip operated. My gluteus minimus was such a mess that he had to place 4 anchors to be able to re-attach the tendon to the bone. I will be forever thankful to him. It was well worth it to drive 2 1/2 hrs. from my hometown to UC Davis for this surgery. He also sent me home with several medications that really helped with my recovery. He required that I wear a hip abductor brace 24/7 (can only take it off when i shower) for 6 weeks. I am glad because I feel safer with this brace. The other doctor never mentioned anything about a brace and I was sent home with crutches. Last year I was only sent home with opioids and aspirin. Dr Giordani did my revision surgery June 12, 2018. Dr. Giordani is an incredible doctor, He, his Fellows and staff are all very professional and kind. I truly admire this mans ability and his patient care. He replaced both of my hips and each time my recovery was very fast and the range of motion and restoration is amazing. A.Heine Fair Oaks, CA

Dr. Giordani is outstanding. He LISTENS to his patients (unlike some in Sports Med...) and doesn't just guess what your issue is...He actually figures it out the first time. He only orders appropriate testing, and ensures that my issues are taken care of. He is extremely kind and caring. He is also incredibly knowledgeable and a leader in his field. Dr. Giordani performed a unique surgery on me, and it had a great outcome thanks to him. I highly recommend him.

Stay away from this guy and this department at UCD. Not only is he smug and sanctimonious, he is about 15 years behind the times in terms of modern treatments. Since he is the department head, he tells me, that he sets to policies for the department, Because of this, the department is 15 years behind as well. This is a teaching hospital. One would think they would want to teach the latest proven procedures to their students.

I would highly recommend Dr Giordani! He is a great listener, takes the time to answer questions and explain my surgical procedure and expected outcome, and has a bedside manner that exceeds any experience that I have had with prior doctors. I had a hip replacement with an excellent outcome. Hands down....I recommend Dr G!

Dr. Giordani is extremely kind, intelligent, and outstanding in his field. He worked tirelessly to reach the best possible outcome for me. I admire his patience and kindness whenever I visit. I have made a full recovery thanks to him.
