Absolutely love Dr. Elder!! She is very kind and compassionate. She always explains everything throughly and answers every question I have. I’m so happy we have her to care for our daughter.

Dr Melissa Elder was a life saver for not only myself but my daughter as well. For my daughter we spent 6+ months seeing other Drs in our area who all did incorrect tests and diagnosis - they put us off and didn’t want to take the time to see my infant who was just getting worse. I went to multiples places, and multiple locations. We drove 2 hours south to see Dr Elder. Within less than 2 weeks we had a game plan! What my daughter had was serious and had a risk of death without treatment. She is very kind, and truly cares about her patients. I have been seeing her for 20+ years for myself and wouldn’t want my daughter to see anyone else. I know I can trust her and her team! They always put us first no matter how busy they are! Ariel Ford, Tammy Phu, and Heather are also the very best of her nurses! They take the time to relate and talk me through anything that is going on. I have two children that see Dr. Elder and her staff. I feel that Dr. Elder saved my complicated daughter from the rheumatologist we saw before we found her. (Rheumie one almost killed her). She is extremely knowledgeable and she always seems to know what to do- even if the situation is beyond everyone else. She loves her patients and she truly cares about them as well as their families.

While most people have to wait years to get a diagnosis for Wegener's Granulomatosis, Dr. Elder was able to diagnosis me within a month. She knew what biopsies, lab results, and treatments would be needed for my diagnosis and treatment. That was 6 years ago. She has been able to follow me into my adult years, and has personally called me, as well as taken action when other specialists I see are not clear on my disease. Appointment time with her is short, however her ARNP Heather is amazing.
