Dr. Hammer and their staff was super rude and unprofessional! They kept asking me why I came there with my son even though we were referred by our pediatrician! Looks like they don’t know anything about client’s professional ethics! Super disappointed !

Unfortunately couldn’t put less than one star. Dr Hammer and his office is negligent and unprofessional. Family member had a DNA swab taken at Dr Hammers office and I received no results from the testing. Called his office multiple times and left multiple messages for him to reach out to us. When I did speak with the nurse they could not find any record that Dr Hammer took my family member’s DNA for testing. This is negligence. Saw Dr Hammer yesterday. Seemed very dismissive towards me and my son. When we first got called in the nurse had to take my son’s weight 3 times and said my son lost weight which is completely wrong. I would’ve noticed if my son lost weight.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Hammer recently and it was great! He is very personable and made me feel comfortable. I could tell Dr. Hammer is very knowledgeable and knew exactly what the next steps for me should be. I highly recommend Dr. Hammer and will continue to see him.

Dr Hammer was looking at his computer majority of the appointment, instead of addressing us (parents). We were charged extra money for an extended apportionment. His office staff is nice, but they are limited because of Dr Hammer. The pharmacy needed his approval to fill a Rx; I had to call 3 times (over the course of 5 days) for this to be done. When test results came back abnormal he has a nurse call me. Dr Hammer himself didn't call! The nurse can't answer any questions, talk about next steps or evaluate test data. He couldn't even call that same day to discuss. When prescribing new medications he didn't discuss side effects or what changes to watch for. He has a complete lack of ethics and I would NEVER recommend anyone to see him. *I had to mark one start otherwise the review would not post. Exceptional , unrivalled brilliance ! With an emphasis to attention to detail & compassion

The moment he walked in the room he was focused on helping my son. Very nice, listens to everything you have to say, spends as much time as needed to try to figure out how to help. Highly recommend him!

Every time I see Dr. Hammer we have fun, & he has helped me come along way with my Epilepsy ! Dr. Hammer is the Greatest Doctor I have ever Had. AmeN

I have bringing my son to Dr. Hammer for 27 years, he still shows as much care and attention as he did from the beginning, with humor. He gives his full attention. Only downfall is how advocate has a central number, you can’t just call his office.

Dr. Hammer has been with our family and son for the last 13 years. Even though my son is now 20, he said he would be able to follow him until he's 100! He truly cares for his patients and their families. He listens to our concerns and will offer testing without just throwing medicine at you. Complete waste of time! Dr Hammer is lazy & incompetent. Would not recommend this Dr to my worst enemy.

Words can't express my appreciation for Dr. Hammer. Very professional and patient with children. I love his calm personality. I recommend Dr. Hammer over any other Neurology.

Friendly medical assistant and Dr. Hammer is absolutely great. Works well with my teenager. Great personality and expert in his field. Highly recommend.
