This place is terrible! I felt very uncomfortable here and will never return. Sue (I think was her name) acts like a probation officer and treated me like I was in trouble for something. It was hot and they had fans running but no ac. The doctor told me everything about his life, son choking, parents dying, the story of his wife, everything. I was in severe pain and had to keep moving around because they had me there for 2 hours and the only thing he did was talk about his life. I was swelling and hurting and having terrible anxiety and he checked my blood pressure and sent me to the emergency room. The ER Dr said this was not a hypertensive emergency and he didn't know why this man had sent me there. Sue said she would call to check on me but never did and when I called 5 times and left messages they never called me back. This man needs to retire. Oh and they took my cellphone from me and wouldn't give it back until I left. Possibly because he was paranoid of being recorded saying all the things he said to me?? This place is terrible! I made it to 2 visits. The only thing that came out of the appointments was the So-called doc was a Whistleblower against the department of Veteran Affairs. Hmmmm and there are some questions that have to be answered about the results on a test. I got a copy of the test results through my doctor and also through the company that did the diagnosis. It took getting a attorney friend involved, but we finally got the records. Could get ugly. I hope everyone has insurance I made it to 2 visits. No stars deserved. Everyone should avoid this "practice". I was referred to this office only because they had the shortest wait for an appointment (red flag). The office consisted of a folding table and a few lawn chairs, poor lighting and a dirty foyer. No signage. It looked like they had just moved into a dirty abandoned building. Sue (the office manager, bookkeeper and wife of the doctor but not a nurse) took my medications for blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes out of the room to count them which made me very uncomfortable. She spoke to me like I was a drug addict and said if I didn't have cash I could get out. Her grungy street clothes and harsh tone made it feel like I was involved in a back alley drug deal. I had cash, (for some reason this office only allows payment in cash). I asked for a note for work to show I was at the doctor's office and she brought me a piece of stationary that said my name and the handwritten note "she was here". They left me with no medication for a week before deciding the "doctor" couldn't see me. Why? Well, frankly this is what I was told. "Dr. Kohrman cannot see you because we told you to go to the ER Monday because you were in pain and you did not go". Well here's the issue with that, you also told me I cannot under any circumstances accept any pain medication from anyone but your office. So you want me to go to the ER seeking treatment for nerve pain (which I've already been diagnosed with) just to leave still in pain and unable to receive treatment? Right. However, the first and only visit I paid to this office I had the grand pleasure of being spoken to like trash by Sue, being treated like a drug addict by doctor Kohrman and having a test where they stick needles in your muscles and it makes a sound. The doctor wore no gloves and didn't sanitize at all during the visit. During this test Dr. Kohrman yelled at his son (who assisted the testing) several times, he and his wife bickered bitterly about money and Dr. Kohrman remarked that they hated it here in south Alabama and they had "patented a new respirator device that will make them rich and get them out of Alabama". He trashed every other doctor around the county. He insulted southern people by basically calling us all drug addicts. Sue, oh Sue. This angry woman then ushered me back into the lawn chair room to inform me that they will not release test results or records to any other office or medical entity. She informed me of the $75 to $150 rescheduling/cancellation fee and said if it wasn't paid they would withhold my medications. Every muscle in my body wanted to run out of this office and here I am a week later wishing I would have. I paid $25 co-pays and they billed my insurance $1180 for a test I cannot even get the results from. Scam alert!!! Thank Jesus I have found another doctor already. People, DO believe the majority of the reviews because they are accurate. Avoid, figure out how to manage your pain and wait for a doctor with a real nurse, real office staff and real care and compassion for their patients. I have been going to this Dr for a few years was referred by my primary Dr. I have severe osteoporosis with several fractures. If it weren’t for this Dr I wouldn’t be able to be functional! Sue is a breathe of fresh air to me. I have never seen NOR heard her been anyway other than polite and professional to patients! The same for Dr Khorman always polite and professional.

Kohrman is a very rude DR and staff Sue also! I went to this DR for Pain Mang. as he was accepting new patients according to my Ins. I am a cronic pain patient with several disc problems from neck to lower back. I was not given any medical att. and the POLICE was called on me due to the way I walk and the Lady Sue had told me the wrong direction of how to get there. Hard Church benches for seating,I would not advise anyone to go there Nasty. AL Medical Board has been called! Attorney retained

Unable to reach a person by phone at this office after trying repeatedly for five days and leaving two messages, calls which haven't been returned. Kohrman's website has a message from 2014, so I wonder if they've left town, bc it looks like they have a terrible reputation. My father was referred by primary. Was hopeful bc Dr. K's statement on his web page said that he views each patient as an athlete to see what their potential is, which caught my attention because my father was an athlete in high school, and stayed active after that. Now that he is elderly, however, doctors are not actively participating in the need/goal to return to exercise and a healthy musculature. Dr. Kohrman, are you there? I wouldn’t even give him one star. Yes sue was stern , but I can handle that, considering all the work she does. But the doctor is the shortest tempered doctor I have ever seen. Which might explain his low patient quota and the fact he can afford a descent sanitary office or extra office help. They only take cash. Can not use test from the hospital here in Foley. Took a drug test a week and a half ago, returned yesterday for test that I could not complete due to it causing excessive pain, made me return today just to tell me that my drug test came back abnormal and he would not see as a patient ( if that was true , he could have told me that yesterday But I guess he wanted the insurance money to do the test) but refused to tell use what abnormal showed up, I had disclosed everything. He got angry and told us to get out, and then said “sorry drug dealers don’t me” . There is seriously something mentally wrong with this man. I am going to the district attorney! I felt like this was a shady office and today feel it was confirmed. My family practice Dr sent me to him without any history on this here today gone tomorrow scam husband and wife team. DO NOT GO TO HIM! There is a reason they take cash only and file your insurance ripping you off. You will not get care but you will get scammed.

Incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. Elderly lady had to use the bathroom, using a walker to get around and the receptionist grabbed her walker and pushed it back saying that they were not ready for her to use the bathroom. I almost walked out then bit they had my money and wouldn't give it back. Myself and the other 3 patients all said they would never be back. What kind of pain management doctor has patients sitting on wooden benches with no padding. He never even went over my injuries

HORRIBLE! I wouldn't take my animal to this crappy barbaric office. They treat their patients like they are crap and their office is uncomfortable, bare, no updated equipment. Your records kept in baskets not file cabinets. Unsanitary the receptionist/ intake nurse/ wife of the doctor Sue is the wicked witch of the west. She had her sick dog in the office on our first visit there. It was howling and disturbing the peace. My friend left there crying and with a migraine! RUDE AND CRUDE DOCTOR.

After reading all the negative responses, I could have been easily put off. However, since my choices were very limited, my husband and I decided to continue with his appointment. THANK GOODNESS, we did! Dr. Kohrman spent almost 3 hours with my husband, and when he was done he knew thoroughly all of my husband's issues, and understood them better than most other doctors we've seen. This chronic pain has been with my husband for years. I am in hopes that Dr. Kohrman may give him some help.

If I could give a negative star rating I would. This doctor was completely rude to my elderly grandmother. Know we can't even get the test results from the tests he did on her. He's absolutely ridiculous. Do not use him.

Absolutely the most hateful & rude person, I've ever met!!

I had the most unpleasant experience of speaking to Sue twice about scheduling and rescheduling my FIRST APPOINTMENT. I was told I would have to pay a $75 rescheduling fee because I didn't call on 1/1/16 (which fell on a Sunday this year) to cancel. I work in the medical field personally and no doctor is worth enduring the degrading and nasty way she spoke to me. I will never see this doctor due to SUE. I will never refer or recommend this doctors office due to SUE. I'm just glad I discovered how this pain management office treats it's patients aforehand! He is blunt so you know what's going on, both the good and the bad. Don't expect him to prescribe pain meds at the first visit. He wants proof that you have something going on that causes you to have pain. That requires x-rays and other tests. If you want answers about your health and if you want superb care, then he's as good as you can find anywhere.

I should've followed the previous rating of this physician's office. The front clerk is so rude. This office do not return phone calls, as I called several days prior to appointment , got no response. I mentioned it upon arriving at schedule appointment, I was told that she would have gotten around to returning my call. Then I inquired as to the release of my medical information to me, I was told this office do not release medical records. Please strongly consider finding another physician!!!

STAY AWAY!!! One of the most rude people not to mention Doctors I've ever encountered. Stay away!!! He prescribed me Valium along with Norcos. But I have legitimate anxiety that I see a psychiatrist for. The Valium wasn't helping my anxiety so I went ahead & filled my anxiety medicine that worked for me. My second visit prior to my drug test I informed his extremely rude wife that I switched. I took my drug test & waited in the exam room. He came in as I rose to shake his hand he said "I don't want to shake your hand" ok no biggie. Then he grabbed a pamphlet to a drug rehab place & told me I have drug seeking tendencies. Confused I asked him to elaborate but like a child he stayed silent, with the exception of saying he was discharging me. I still can't understand what I did. I did stop taking the Norcos as they were ineffective & no reason to take something that doesn't work. That was in December. Had my fusion on the 11th of January & am now trying to find a new, reasonable Doctor. He also bashed ever doctor I mentioned to him. Negative, rude person. Stay away!! STAY AWAY!!! I had very scary experience in his office. He was recommended to me by my primary Doctor, why I am still not sure. I have never been treated like a drug addict or that I had been doing something wrong by taking prescribed pain medications! I was livid over his attitude because he was supposed to be a pain management physician. Do not go to this idiot!!

Worst, most unprofessional doctor I have ever met. His wife, the only other employee, is also one of the rudest people I have ever met. They are the only two people working their. Does not look like a doctors office. There is not enough room to elaborate on my entire story but I would stay away from this guy. Basically I was accused of being an addict, discharged/thrown out of their office for no reason. It all started when I was unable to provide a urine sample....... STAY AWAY!!!!!!!
