In case anyone want to know Ton went to Blanco Regional Clinic. We found him there and I was so happy!! He's amazing glad we were able to make the switch. I would never use Dr.Manns office.

Very sad. After 5 yrs of being a regular patient; I left this office. Going on 3 months now. My new doctor's office has requested my records. To date 1/6/23 they have received 0. What is the problem - well you can't blame only the staff. Start at the Top.. If the Boss doesn't care, why would the staff.

I recommend DR. Mann to every family or friend in need of a new primary doctor, everyone in this office is beyond kind and welcoming. Dr. Mann is great with my elderly father but I am moving him because you cannot get help when you really need it. His office put us off from a Wednesday call with my elderly father testing positive for COVID to a last thing Friday telemedicine call. We waited 3 hours on a Friday night for the call which never came. Done with this office.

Staff is the worst! Left 3 messages over two weeks trying to get a long term prescription filled that they prescribed. Phone system says I will get a call back in 24 to 48 hours. Nothing.... I finally went to the office to have the receptionist hand deliver a note to to the nurse. When she finally called back later that day she said they do not do patient care ??? Was told to make an appointment. Customer service is pitiful. Tired of putting up poor patient care. Time to go to another Doc.

I've been a patient here for six years, I have Put up with phone calls never returned, never being able to talk to a person, and medication taking over a week to get called in. The PAs are great, but going on 11 days now without Dr. MANN not giving my script to HEB, they have requested twice, I've called several times. PAs are great, but as a patient for 6 yrs now, it takes up to 2 weeks to get prescriptions sent to pharmacy, no calls back. Looking for a new dr. Absolutely no excuse for this.

Dr Tom is phenomenal…only if you can ever reach him. Other than that, this place sucks. Unreliable, inconsistent, bad service. Learn how to answer the phone. No wonder why the bad reviews are so high.

I've been seeing Dr.Mann since I was born and my parents before that. That's 22 years of phenomenal care! His wait time are pretty up there but it's worth it for the care and attention he gives his patients. My family haven't had the greatest bill of health and he's been able to know his depth and know which best specialist to send us to. I have been working with this office for a number of years and they are always thorough and take the time to ensure they are addressing individual patient needs. Dr. Mann is one of the kindest physicians in the greater San Antonio area and his staff are just as stellar! I notice a review taking issue with wait times. Yes, this is a busy office and there is a reason for that - they're a top office in the area and the clinical staff takes the time required to address each patient. Went this office a few time. I didn’t care for them! Getting his office staff to answer their phone is like pulling teeth! Getting a referral fax over to a. specialist is a joke!! You have to physically show up in person to get the referral!! That is ridiculous!!

Horrible care and service. My husband has been going to him for 4 months. I wished he had told me he went to him and I would have told him go anywhere else! My husband was misdiagnosed by his PA and has been in ICU for over 3 weeks now. Dr. Mann's staff has been called several times and given signed forms to release medical records and the hospital to this day has not received them. They do not return phone calls or send needed medical information. I have never seen such horrible service in my life. I quit seeing him years ago because his PA misdiagnosed my daughter who ended up in the hospital. His staff is ok with common colds and allergies, but anything remotely more important they are lousy at. Go somewhere else!!!! DR Mann is the single worst clinician I have ever seen. He forgets what medications he gave you and why, doesn’t remember your medical issues from one week to the next. He prescribes ridiculous amounts of medication and keeps refilling them long after you’ve told him to stop. I had a medical emergency at his office, he did not call 911 or call my wife. Instead he put me in a exam room for 8 hours and never checked on me or gave me food or drink. I was a prisoner in his office. My wife figured out something was up, arrived and was refused access to me and finally after an hour she was allowed to see me and took me out of there. He charges $75 if you miss an appointment. Fair enough. But he misses and you wait two hours before his staff sends you home. Dr Mann is also medical director of a local Hospice company. He sends his patients there, seems shady to me. Referring your own patients to a company you run and profit further off of. He a world class flake, he takes appointments starting at 0800 and never shows up until 9-930. Dr.Mann is the best I have worked with many Dr.'s as a nurse and trust me i looked for someone who really cared about there patients , and he was awesome with all his patients. So he is the best I've seen and He takes pride in all that he does. He actually makes time to listen to your concerns and educates you on a plan of care just for you . He cares about his patients and it shows. His visits are worth tne waighting time as he takes the time with each patient. His Staff and nurses are great friendly and caring and when you need even Tom NP . is the best. Allways calling to check on you .If i could give10 stars i would. The best team there is.

I will give one star just because this office has a wonderful PA. Tom is awesome. However, no one ever answers the phone, they let their Medicare validation expire and make excuses for it, I’ve never met Dr. Mann in the two years I’ve been a patient. I don’t understand how they can still be in business. Looking for a new doctor.

Wonderful staff, very helpful. Dr. Mann goes above and beyond. Nursing staff does their best with as many patients they have to see. As a nurse people need to call ahead of time and learn to be patient

The receptionist is a sweetheart, My nurse Tammy is great. She is personable and very thorough. She makes you feel at home and very comfortable . I was surprised when she knew all my meds, when they need refilled and she is spot on. The Doctor spends a lot of time with each patient and answers in depth any questions you may have. Here is the deal, especially for those reviews who claimed "they don't care about their patients" that's BS! I've been seeing Dr. Mann for about 10 years now regularly for my meds and saw him annually for physicals and such since I was about 15. So, I've been seeing him for close to 14 years. My son is 13 and has been a patient his whole life also. Yes, their phone system gets busy. Yes, sometimes it takes 24 hours for a call back. Yes, they get crowded. Yes, sometimes you have to schedule WAY in advance. I schedule mine 3 months in advance. There is a reason for that. He is THE BEST. His nurse is great as well. Always makes me feel at home. Never rude or short with me. I have always had all my questions answered and things are well explained. This place is aweful! The front office staff is incredibly rude, and the nurses are a joke. I called after having an adverse effect from my medication and got a recording saying they would get back to me in 48 hours. I got a call the next day, but the nurse called the wrong person, and didn't call me back until several hours later. When I did get to speak with her, she couldn't even pronounce my new medication. She told me I can't get it at my regular pharmacy. When I asked where I get it she says "I don't know, maybe they deliver it to your house or something." So now I have a new prescription, but no idea what its called, where to get it, what it does, or how to take it. She could tell I was getting agitated and Basicly accused me of just trying to get pills. The doctors are awesome here, but they need to fire their incomptent staff. This place is aweful! Dr Mann is very thorough and has a great relationship with his patients. He did a great job with my autistic son.

Never had a problem with staff or PA's. Only the phone system, but it turns out it was my fault for not listening to the recorded message. After I listen to it I now know how to use it properly and have no problems at all. Great Place Specifically Charles Longnecker PA.

I've been under Dr Mann's care for at least 10 years. Normally I see PA Tom or charles. They have seen me Thru good times and bad, sometimes facing some challenging issues--but always at my side. I value the relationships I have with all providers, nursing staff, even the billing dept! I am often seen within 1-2 days of requesting an appt. It is nearly impossible to get them to call the pharmacy to authorize refills.. I only give two starts because the PAs are so pleasant and thorough during visits.

I left my last Dr. due to poor office staff. This one is worse. The Dr.'s are great but every negative review is right on regarding the office staff. If I were the Dr. in charge of this office I believe I would take the time to check reviews of the service I represent and take corrective action to eliminate the negative reviews being generated and contact my patients to verify their concerns.

Rude attitude just making an appointment

Receptionist is NOT personable at all, extremely rude and has a terrible attitude. Doesn't help that no one EVER answers the phone and rarely calls back after leaving several voicemails. Back office staff and Dr's are great but seriously contemplating finding a new facility.

Welcoming staff is very brusque and standoffish. They do not maintain their schedule or respect your time. Every time I have gone it has been 30-45 minutes after my schedule appt before I get to go wait further in examination room. Dr. Mann does a good job when you get to see him.

I have never personally seen Dr. Mann, however PA Charles Longanecker has been wonderful. My major issue is with the staff. Both H-E-B and my insurance have sent requests for authorizations on a medication I've been taking for more than a year; I also called and left a message for assistance - it's been two weeks, and NOTHING from his office. Not even an attempt. Its disheartening when you want to have a doctor close to home, but can't get the care you're hoping for...

I have been a patient of Dr Mann's for over 30 years ... heck, I was in the same fraternity with him at Trinity University in the 1970's... but I am very sad to say, although I believe Dr Mann and Charles one of the PA's there are really good in their practice ... the staff he has working for him AND HAS HAD FOR SEVERAL YEARS is so incredibly bad I doubt I will be going back. Several years ago I complained directly to Dr Mann and he assured me they were "aware and working on it ..." ... I don't go to the Dr often but I have many many friends "of my age - early 60's" ... that have gone to Dr Mann in the past but abandoned him because of the dismal staff he has... AS A RECENT EXAMPLE ... I called his main number ... naturally got the recording telling me to push a number (already bad service in my opinion - I want to talk to a person), left my information for a Rx and was told it would be handled in UP TO 48 hours ... waited well over 48 hours ... nothing ... WENT BY THE OFFICE and was directed by the "receptionist " to write my information on a memo slip and she would "LOOK FOR A NURSE" ... waited 15 minutes and NOTHING ... the waiting room was filling up ... it was clear it was going to be a while ... This is absurd ... if you are going to have a mechanized phone service that promises 48 hours, doesn't fulfill that commitment and then has a clueless receptionist that will "LOOK FOR A NURSE" and then have no response after going to the trouble to go into the office ... VERY POOR STAFF WORK! Further ... the fact that they TURN OFF THE PHONES between noon and 2PM and NO ONE EVEN A MACHINE ANSWERS is beyond the pale ... clearly they don't care about their patients ... Mike --- it's really sad to see ... BTW ... I used TELADOC and got a response inside of 10 minutes and the prescription for scopolomine at the pharmacy in less than 30 minutes ...maybe you should check out their customer service and staffing ... His office does not take calls, only voicemails, and you have to wait days to get a return on calls. We actually have yet to meet Dr Mann and have been a patient for 3 years and TWO total knee replacements. Terrible. Avoid.

I have been seeing Dr Mann for 10 years and he is very compassionate and intelligent. I have no complaints about anything, and while my wife was alive Dr Mann and the PA took excellent care of her.

The first call about 6 months ago was a little hairy because the staff was significantly rude and dismissal, but the actual visit went very well - better than expected - so we decided to give them another chance. Called a bit ago to make a speedy appt (tomorrow if possible) - expecting not to get anyone on the line much less an appt, but not only did I get a very friendly young lady, but they squeezed me in for the time I wanted with absolutely NO problems. Came in as a new patient and was treated well. The physician assistant was caring and thorough. All went seamlessly. I had to call back to change pharmacies the same day due to insurance glitches, left message, and it was resolved the same day.

I've only been there once. We are changing my son's PCP. But from the visit and the follow up I needed from them on some paper work, they were excellent. I don't know if staff has changed, but some of the comments about them being cold was not my experience. The receptionist Amber was great as resolving an insurance mess up by the ins. company for registration. I thought we might have to pay the full amount of the visit and then get reimbursed, but Amber and the billing dept did not give up and resolved it before we seen the Phys Assit. He was also great. Then when I needed a different document, the nurse and PA handled it straight away with no extra charges. Too often, my experiences with office staff has been dismal. Most Doctor office's staff are incompetent and let things fall through the cracks. But not here. I can't say what the future is going to be like, but for now I am very happy with them. I have not seen the Dr in 4 years, only PA. PA doesn't seem interested in patient care. Office staff is incompetent at best. It has taken up to 2 weeks fora return phone call. I have waited up to six weeks for an appointment then I have to wait at least an hour to get into office. I had the 1st appointment of the day once and waited 2 hours just to see the PA. I have changed doctors.

Dont waste your time...i have bern trying to take care of major health issues and they dont care about thier patients. .left numerous messages due to the fact they dont anwser calls, and they dont return calls..they seriously need a new staff

I saw him because BCBSTX recommended him as my primary physician, the problem is his staff. They don't answer the phone or return calls. Once you see the Dr. if you need anything, they will not call you back. The office staff is lazy and unprofessional, first time I have ever seen an office staff like this. I called every other day for two weeks with 0 return calls. I had problems even trying to find the office because they don't answer the phone.

Dr Mann is a very good doctor, one that cares about your wellbeing and your pain. He has helped me to have somewhat control over my pain that I have from having surgery on my L4-L5, L5S1 fuse surgery and 4 years later I am still having extreme pain and my foot is asleep my balance is not here anymore. Dr Mann has been a very good doctor towards me and has helped me thru my ordeals. I have recommended him to various friend who have changed towards him being their primary Doctor. Great Doctor.

Dr. Mann is the kind of Doctor that actually takes the time to talk to his patient. You may have to wait a while to get in but remember when it is your turn he will spend the same amount of time listening and checking you. If you are in a big rush go to the nearest doc in a box. I'm relatively new to TX, coming from the NE, to retire. I happened upon this site, seeking directions to Dr. Mann's office, as I needed to become an established patient in/around Bulverde. I was slightly intimidated by the reviews on this site, however, because of the close proximity, I decided to follow thru and make an appt. First call, first ring, the phone there was answered and my appt. made, in the time-frame I requested. (Never had to leave a voice mail or wait for someone NOT to return my call!). I was early, as requested, since I had new patient forms to complete. I was extremely impressed with the staff as well as the doctor. I went with a complaint list, wondering if I'd have enough time to get into all of them - and I did! I was in there 90 minutes!!! Long time, right? Well, NOT if those 90 minutes were devoted to YOU and your "laundry list", as well as your medical history, along with a chuckle or two! The most current reviewer, prior to mine, is 4 mos. ago. Obviously, things have changed rather dramatically (if they were indeed ever that bad!). I went thru with this appt., with the attitude that I could seek another physician, should I not be pleased with this experience. I would like to think that, prior to putting something "out there," that could perhaps damage the reputation of this doctor and his staff, I would've pursued the issue a little more. Did the previous unhappy reviewer ask to speak to the person in charge, airing her grievances, perhaps giving an opportunity for her issues to be addressed and/or explained? Were they short-staffed that day? Was there an emergency, demanding "all hands on deck"? There are any number of explanations that could explain the accusations of the previous patient. OK, so maybe I hit a good day. Yes, it's possible that a subsequent visit could turn into an unhappy event, but I would certainly ask some questions, before writing such a damaging review. Without a single doubt, I dare say the previous reviewer would NOT have been unhappy, if everyone of the doctor's subsequent patients were spending their time, cooling their heels in the waiting room, because the doctor spend as much time with you as your required, instead of giving you the "bum's rush"!
