Dr. Ruebhausen and his team are wonderful! I went in for a breast reduction, muscle repair (they look amazing) and Botox. He actually cares about the patients’ well being and outcomes. Very knowledgeable and good prices! I even have a friend that travels 3 HOURS to be seen by him.

Dr. Ruebhausen is very professional and knowledgeable. On top of these qualities, he is also kind and has amazing bedside manner and does great work. It's hard to find all of these qualities in a dr and he fits all of these.

Dr. Ruebhausen did an amazing job with my Botox! He is kind, thorough and extremely knowledgeable. All of his office staff were also very friendly and made the process seamless from start to finish. Being in the healthcare field and experiencing first hand the care provided, I would highly recommend him!

Dr. Ruebhausen could not possibly have made my first experience with fillers any better. I’ve always struggled with hollow under-eyes and dark circles, giving the appearance that I was constantly tired. No amount of sleep, makeup, creams or serums ever made a difference. That is, until Dr. Ruebhausen suggested that under-eye filler could help give me that change that I was looking for. From the very beginning, he was receptive, understanding, patient, and helped me to determine exactly how to achieve the look I was hoping for. He also created a straightforward and reasonable treatment plan, explaining every step along the way. The process was painless, quick, and he was BEYOND receptive in the aftermath when I had questions, no matter the time of day. Dr. Reubhausen spent ample amount of time discussing treatment plans with me! He answered all of my questions and then some. I was absolutely comfortable during my entire appointment and I look forward to visiting the office again!

I have been a patient of Dr. Michael Ruebhausens for several years. Dr. Ruebhausen is very personable and extremely knowledgeable in the field of plastic surgery. He is a peoples doctor who listens to his patients, their concerns and wants. On 12/11,2018 an unnamed surgeon removed a cancerous lesion from my lip. Being a surgical nurse and working in his room, I have had the privilege of seeing what type of work he was capable of doing. 12 hours post op I was able to remove the bandage and was shocked by what I saw. (I will post pictures) Fast forward March 6, 2021, a little over 26 months after my initial surgery, my lip still would not heal. After multiple return visits to unnamed surgeon, this is what I was told, “Will need to be watched; suggest she consider discussing with her primary care doctor to see whether they may have some advice in therapy. If persists, may have to consider biopsy.” At this point I am at a loss for words, but I did as he asked. I saw my primary care doctor who referred me to Dr. Michael Ruebhausen who had an office in Bourbonnais Illinois. Surgery was March 23, 2021. Here is the progress of my lip in pictures. It has not even been a year. It looks amazing! Dr. Ruebhausen unfortunately left the Bourbonnais area before I was done with my follow up. I asked where he was going and he shared the information. Decatur is just over 2 hours from me. I gladly would have made the trip, but instead he contacted me for all my follow and questions via text message. I also had a billing issue from the hospital he use to work for. I messaged Dr. Ruebhausen. He was immediately on the phone, working with me to resolve the issues. My husband now has a cancerous legion that needs to be removed. Though we live within 5 minutes of 2 hospitals, we are making the 2 plus hour drive to see Dr. Ruebhausen. Why? Because it is not often that you find someone that loves what they do! Who advocates for their patients and their staff. Who has a wonderful bedside manner and allows you to ask questions. Dr. Ruebhausen was my doctor when i got in bad farm accident and he did amazing work. I would highly recommend him. The best part is that he still checks in with me. He is a great guy and great doctor!!!

I was referred to Dr. Ruebhasen by my general surgeon and it was honestly one of the best things that could have ever happened. I suffer from hidradenitis suppurativa Hurley stage 3 and it is pretty severe. I've had this medical issue for 24 years and in all that time I've seen my share of doctors. Most of them had no clue how to treat my disease the others didn't seem to care, Dr Ruebhausen changed all of that! He listens to your concerns he doesn't just type into a computer with his back to you. Dr. Ruebhausens bedside manor puts you at ease and assured you are in the best hands possible. Dr. Ruebhausen is a genuine person on top of a phenomenal surgeon! He is caring and takes the time to answer all questions throughly. I had the pleasure of having him as my surgeon and a coworker. I had to fight insurance to approve the surgery deemed medically necessary, and when he found out they approved he was as excited and happy as I was. I had some complications post op not directly related to the breast augmentation and he showed genuine concern and checked up on me frequently. I’m currently 8 months post op and everything has healed over wonderfully and have had no issues! Five stars does not do this man justice. 100/10 would recommend!!! Dr. Ruebhausen is amazing! Not only is he a talented surgeon but he is also a caring professional. He patiently answered all questions I had prior to surgery. He advised on ways to save money (bundling 2 procedures to save on anesthesia costs) and checked up on me both the night of my surgery and the next day. He's a friendly doctor and will be real and honest about what your results will look like after surgery. 10/10. Dr. Ruebhausen is amazing! My three year old had an accident last night, her father and I immediately went to riverside.. her face had a 9cm cut and she was bleeding a lot. I felt my entire body shaking and I could barely breath. They told us that we would more than likely have to go up north and her surgery probably wouldn’t take place until the next day... it’s a scary situation anyways but I just wanted some kind of reassurance.. Dr. Ruebhausen gave me that. He came in and immediately after he spoke I felt like I could breath.. he made sure she didn’t have to wait and he followed through in his promise. He went above and beyond for her. I don’t think I’ve ever met anybody like him... it was like he put himself in our shoes as parents. She looks amazing today and I know he made that possible. I’ve have known Dr. Ruebhausen for many years. As a resident, I chose him to do my breast augmentation. He made the process so easy and eased all fears that I had going in to the procedure. The surgery went flawlessly and I love my results. Not only is he a skilled surgeon, he is a wonderful and caring person. He always makes himself available to answer any questions you may have as his patient. He has a wonderful beside manner and truly cares about his patients.
