Dr. Michael Jonathan Straker

Dr. starker is a great doctor. However the billing personnel is very rude and mean! I had a bill that I was waiting for my insurance to settled and I was told I couldn’t be seen until this was resolved. I was having postpartum issues and I wanted the doctor who delivered my baby to see me. Unfortunately because of the bill that was pending they refused to see me. This is very unprofessional especially when it’s not my fault but the insurance. The lady who handles the bill was so mean to me and literally made me cry. I didn’t want to stop going to see this doctor but I had no other choice.

I went to Dr. Straker for the first time, and it was a fantastic experience! His medical assistants, ultrasound tech, and check in/out were super nice and helpful! Dr. Straker is a consummate professional and very personable. I highly recommend him and his office!

I would highly recommend Dr. Straker as an OB for any woman who is currently pregnant or planning to become pregnant. In looking for an OB in the area, I scoured the reviews so I am leaving a very detailed review, but the highlights are here: - Dr. Straker is very easy going and laid back. This was perfect for someone like me who was prone to anxiety. - However, when there was a serious or emergency situation, he jumped into action with a direct yet still calm demeanor I saw Dr. Straker through a miscarriage, a chemical pregnancy and finally a healthy pregnancy that ended with an unexpected c-section. Some people in my life questioned why I would go to an OB who was in his own practice and thought that he wouldn't be available if I needed him. This was NOT the case. Both with the miscarriage and then with the pregnancy, he was available to talk by phone or meet me when I needed it. He was reachable by phone in the evening and weekends, but also has a very friendly and knowledge

The doctor is great but the front staff is a absolutely horrible. There has never been a time that I didn’t have an issue. An imaging center has been calling all week for a script that they have yet to send over so I just wasted my day off of work for this testing. They hardly answer the phone and if they do, you are on hold for a very long time. Another time, I just wanted results from tests but they told me they didn’t have anything available for 2 months later!! 2 months just to find out my results!! Unfortunately I will be looking for another doctor.

Dr. Straker did biopsy and performed a DNC...he was supposed to follow on Tuesday, he never called and now will not return my calls. Staff can't seem to contact him? Very unprofessional, staff left out of the loop, can't get my results, given the 'round around.

Dr. Straker is a wonderful doctor. However, when I called to schedule an appointment I was told I needed to pay off a balance that I thought was settled by my insurance. I stated that I could make an installment as it was a lot of money. I was rudely told that until I settle my bill I could not schedule an appointment. I have not been to this doctor in over a year and as I explained I really needed to be seen, the only response was to settle my bill. I'm very disappointed in the staff!

I loved Dr Straker! He helped me through a difficult pregnancy and with my several gynecological conditions!! He is a life saver and I cried the day my insurance stopped covering him!! I HIGHLY recommend him to any woman with Endometriosis (extremely difficult to find a doctor who actually knows what it is, let alone understand it)!!

Excellent doctor! Great bedside practices, knowledgable and makes his patients feel comfortable...very pleasant experience each time.
