Dr. Michelle Trandai

Brought in an ultra sound I'd had a year prior that my prior NP said to have a doctor further review. Trandai barely read it and said it was nothing, then said I didn't need an updated one. I had concerns about PCOS, she acted like I was a fool and said I definitely don't have it (emailed me an article while I was sitting there about what it is, very condescendingly, when I had multiple symptoms). I asked about ways to ensure I took the best measures to keep my fertility healthy. She said, and I quote: "You can't extend your fertility, you're gonna get wrinkles and get old and that's it. My suggestion to you, is to have kids as soon as you can." (I was un-partnered at this time). I was horrified by her bedside manner and diminishing my concerns. Got an updated ultra sound per recommendation of my new amazing OBGYN Dr. Brown. I have fibroids, a larger endometrial polyp, as well as confirmed PCOS. Deciding to not be under Trandai's care, might have been a decision that saved my own life. Run away from this woman.

Absolutely the kindest and best doctor in Chicago. Dr. Trandai is smart, fast, and absolutely someone I trust with my health. The staff in the office is some of the nicest and most helpful staff I've ever been to - could not recommend enough. She made a very difficult and painful procedure manageable, and was kind the entire time.

Doctor Trandai it’s been my doctor for the last 4 years, and she is been always very professional and kind to explain all my questions regarding to health, pregnancy and babies. I wish more doctors were like her.

Dr Michelle Trandai was friendly, knowledgable, and very kind. I felt safe and in good professional hands. I had the time i needed to ask all the questions i had and her office staff were efficient and skilled.

I had been delaying finding an obgyn but finally had to and Dr Michelle Trandai was super close. Booking was straightforward via her website, I was able to book my first appointment within 48 hours. I showed up 15 minutes late and her office staff were kind and reassured me i would still be able to see the doctor. The doctor was so friendly, professional, knowledgeable and reassuring. Highly recommend.

I had a slight emergency, well what I felt was a emergency. I made an appointment online at 1030pm for the next day with no problems. When I arrived, I filled out my paperwork and shortly after I was called to the back. My first impression of Dr. Trandai is that she is kind and cares for her patients. I had a very good experience with Dr Trandai. She was honest and frank and was patient with any question I had for her. She has an aura of competence and I feel like I can trust her to help me make good choices about my health. I saw a few reviews before coming in that were negative about the office staff. I did have a hard time connecting one time when I called in and wasn't exactly greeted when I came into the office. When I called for an appointment I was hoping to receive an early. I was extremely happy to be given an appointment within a short time frame. Dr. Trandai explained the whole procedure as she was doing the various steps and helped me be relaxed. All in all I felt comfortable and well taken care of during my visit.

Everyone was so pleasant and nice to me.

Worst experience at a doctor ever. Where do I even begin? No one spoke a word of English in the entire office, the office was extremely dirty including the examining rooms. The nurses and doctor were super aggressive. Lastly, they never billed through my insurance even though I gave them my insurance so I ended up having to pay a DEBT COLLECTOR since they never told me that I "didn't pay" when they never billed my insurance. Dr. Trandai is absolutely wonderful! She is knowledgable, warm, and calming. Everything that you could hope for in a doctor- especially when it comes to having a baby! My husband has mentioned on multiple occasions that he wishes Dr. Trandai could be HIS doctor. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Trandai has been my doctor for close to 3 years now and I absolutely love her! She delivered my 2 daughters and asks about them immediately at every appointment I have with her. I think Dr. Trandai is a wonderful doctor who is kind, caring, helpful and thorough. Unfortunately, I found the operational side of her practice to be lacking and it discouraged me to continue with her as a patient. First off the only line of communication is to call the office or leave a voicemail, there is no online portal of way to send her a message electronically which is much more convenient. The teams of receptionists are not the easiest to communicate with making the fact that her only form of communication is via phone even more frustrating. I dealt with many mistakes on their end such as not cancelling appointments when I had called several days prior to do so, sending appointment confirmation text messages to my emergency contact instead of to my phone number and also claiming the only way to pay for my visit was via money order. It’s unfortunate that her practice does not operate as well as she performs as a doctor. She’s a 5 star physician working in a 1 star facility and all of the time, effort and headaches I’ve dealt with from their mistakes over time has discouraged me from continuing with her as my doctor. Horrible experience with my first pregnancy, I had to switch OBGYN around 20 weeks . Thank God I did. She would talk down to me every visit! I stuck it out believing it would work but she was very nasty to me and my husband.

She is one of the worst doctor's ive ever had. During a procedure in which she said she would talk me through it, she was rushing and hurt me so bad i hurt my back and was crying because i felt violated. When other doctors performed that same procedure, they were gently and spoke to me during the entire procedure of what was happening, significantly less painful than with Dr Trandai. Today at my appointment which started at 10am, i didn't see the doctor until almost 1130 (1.5 hrs later) and i tell her i have to get back to work. I only mentioned this so we could move along the appointment at a quicker pace. She starts to say if i want a doctor that is on time i need to find someone else. She became irate and got up suddenly saying she needed a break. I say excuse me ive been waiting, how much longer do i have to wait? She says I dont know and tries to slam the door, but i grab it and im in the hallway right behind her. I tell her i dont appreciate the lack of professionalism. She storms off into another room. I tell the nurse Norma (she is sweet as pie) what is going on and ask her what is the doctor's problem. the doctor eventually comes back we're now two hours into the visit....and again she starts saying that i need to find another doctor because she is never on time. I stop her and tell her look treat me as if i was a patient you actually cared about and help with some kind of treatment. She says well if youre going to see your PCP then i dont need to do anything. That upset me and i said its already been two hours, i havent wasted my time here to not have some type of treatment plan in place. She starts shaking, gets an RX pad, write a script for pain killers. I never told her i was in pain. She also wrote an order for an ultrasound, which i recommended. A big warning to you all...DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, UNRESPONSIBLE, CARELESS DOCTOR EVER!!!. I'm Vietnamese and I never wrote a review before especially to my own people. We just don't know how she became a doctor, which is un-professional and most important is she doesn't care for her patients but herself. My wife was pregnant for over 22 weeks and cannot get an ultra-sound because she denied to sign the form, proof of pregnancy and treated by her which the insurance required. She told us that form has to be sign by the attorney. I called the insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield)and put on the speaker phone right in her office. The rep said it was the first time she ever heard of the attorney has to sign this form. Section 1 filled out by the patient, section 2 & 3 needs to fill out and sign by the doctor. The rep slowly explained through the speaker phone but Dr. Trandai was hiding inside her room and didn't come out to talk with the rep or us. My wife's pregnancy passed 20 weeks and now we cannot change the doctor. This doctor forced us into a corner and did not care for the baby or my wife. There must be a reason for her not to sign the form that the insurance is required to do the ultra-sound. There was a lot of terrible situations with Vietnamese people that we've found out with Dr. Trandai but they did not speak up due to their English issue. Anyways...we will never ever come back to her office again. I do not recommend anyone to come to this horrible doctor ever. She has really been a good support and has given the best during my pregnancy. Unlike other hospitals, she is the one who takes care of the delivery. I really like her and will go to her again for any gync stuff!

Dr. Trandai really cares about you. She is understanding, honest and interested in your needs. She wants the best for her patients and does everything in her power to make that happen. I recommend her to everyone.

I am proud to say that Dr. T. (Trandai) is MY doctor. I have seen many doctors in my day and she is just what I was praying for. She is very personable and takes her time and talks with you like a person. I love that she has office hours on Sunday. I live about minutes from Indiana and I pass many doctors to travel far north to be seen by her. I was pleased when I was referred to her. The staff has always been pleasant and helpful. Horrible doctor she send us to emergency room becouse of nothing !

Dr. Trandai is a capable doctor and a nice person, up until you google anything and ask her about it (doesn't everyone do that these days??) When I dared to do some research on my own and ask her questions, she said to me "that's not fair to me" (what?!!) and told me to go see another doctor!! I did exactly that. Dr. Trandai ended up doing absolutely nothing for me, other than breaking up with me lol (so odd), yet her office charged a whoooole heck of a lot with overly itemized bills (more than my new obgyn who actually answered my questions and treated me!) One more word of advice, speak slowly and purposefully to the receptionists. I understand this office serves a Vietnamese/bilingual community, yet everyone who answers the phone speaks such broken English that it is frustrating and time-consuming trying to communicate with them. They often had to pass around the phone numerous times when I called, even to make an appointment. Love, love Dr. Trandai! I found her through a list of doctors on the Aetna website. I came to her 9 years ago when I was pregnant with my second child. She has given me outstanding care for the past 9 years. She is so warm, friendly and hilarious. I'm so glad I found her. I love how she explains everything so thoroughly and does it in such a relaxed manner. I'm always so happy to see her even if it's only once a year. As for her office staff, they are so kind and helpful. The last time I was there, there was some concern that my insurance would not cover my visit since it was within a 12 month period. They alerted me and suggested I verify it with my insurance first. I did and everything was fine. I appreciated that they didn't want me to pay out-of-pocket. I would have never known about this issue unless they told me. Once again, Dr. Trandai is terrific. I trust her completely and I'm so grateful I found her. I always look forward to seeing her. I had great experience with dr Trandai. I have three children and they were all delivered by dr Trandai. She cares about your health and listens to your concerns and tries to answer your question as best as she can. Her office is very clean and her rooms are always well prepared with equipment that is needed for the appt.
