If I could give less stars, I would. She was on a list of referrals for a pediatric dentist. There is a need sedation because of my son's anxiety and behavior. This and the procedure was discussed at our consultation appointment. We were assured she could take care of it so we did not continue to look for other dentists. Today was the day of his appointment. My husband was summoned to the back by the Dental assistant... and the dentist was yelling at our child saying she did not want to hear that he was in pain and that he should know she's not going to deal with it. My son was in clearly in pain and NOT sedated. She told my husband that she cracked our son's tooth but in reality she broke half the tooth off.. then she told my husband that she was not going to finish the procedure because my son would not sit still enough for her. She did not offer any other type of medication or show any sympathy. She charged us for nitrous oxide for sedation but did not give him enough to sedate him. She also charged us for the tooth she broke off and didn't finish removing after saying she wouldn't. She wants to get paid for a job she didn't do. She is cold and rude. I feel that the only reason she works with kids is because she enjoys traumatizing and torturing children. Now, my son has to wait 3 months for another consultation. Don't take your kids there.. or your animals.

Don't have anything bad to say the staff has always been kind and upfront with my son and I. He loves going there and I think it's a good dental office to bring your kids to. The only thing I have to say is don't be afraid to ask questions because your not always able to go back with your child it's policy. I assume it has to do with either covid or maybe it can be distracting for the kids making there job harder. But besides that the office is wonderful in my opinion. Usually once there all done they always let you know how it went and give ya a quick run down, if you want more info you should ask it's what your paying for. Dr. Yearick is a very effective dentist, has better appointment availability than others, and maintains GA privileges at Evan. She successfully filled 2 back molar cavities on my 4 year old son using nitrous and novacane. Her evaluation saved us from unnecessary treatment and sedition recommended by others. All of my children are now her patients. Dr. Yearick is a very effective dentist, has better appointment availability than others, and maintains GA privileges at Evan. My friend unfortunately did not read the reviews prior to making an appointment but was told over the phone that they allow parents back with the children and they are the only dentist close to her that accepts her insurance so she took a chance. She was so upset by her experience she wanted to warn others who may have children with anxiety. I got there and immediately felt like I was inconveniencing the staff by just being there. I tried to go back with my son and was stopped and told no. I explained I was told I could over the phone and she relented finally. The hygienist, not sure of her name I believe it started with a J, wasn't terrible but she didn't seem to be experienced with children and my son has anxiety so I just tried to give her the heads up and she made an odd comment about her not minding but the dentist wasn't good at handling those types of "issues". First off, not minding was a poor choice of words, he is just like everyone else, he just gets nervous in new situations and second, she was right. The dentist seem annoyed as soon as I told her, I don't usually say anything but in this type of scenario I thought it would be helpful to know and they ARE a pediatric dentist!! My son did not do well, he sensed their annoyance and just when I was trying to figure out an excuse to not make another appointment, the other woman told me that me going back was a one time deal and in the future, he would go in alone. Not happening! Perfect excuse to never walk through that door again. Bedside manner in any pediatric field is so important and if you can't handle or downright don't like kids, you should pick a different field. Treats parents like children and the “emergency” line is a joke. Almost 24 hrs later and I haven’t heard back.

My daughter cried after we left the office, staff was ok but yearick was so mean to my daughter about flossing and scared her. I was speechless and shocked. Definitely not kids friendly. Not going back.

After reading reviews I see I’m not alone. Dr. Yearick has zero bedside manner. She is judgmental, rude and likes to blame everything on the parents if a child has less than perfect teeth. I walked out of there after our first visit feeling like a terrible mother even though I try my best and my kids do brush their teethe morning and night and mouthwash etc. Not only that, but one of my children had to have a cap put on one of their teeth and it actually came off in his mouth, revealing a rotten tooth underneath. I was told to bring it back in and they’d put it back on! Really? While his tooth rots away underneath? I also was only allowed back with them a time or two and after I was no longer allowed to go back which make myself and my children very anxious. And my daughter said Dr. Yearick was not nice to her. We are done going there. After reading reviews I see I’m not alone. Dr. Yearick has zero bedside manner. Dr. Yearick and her staff are fantastic. My son Ryan who has special needs went to Dr. Yearick for well over 10 years. We recently moved to NC but if we still lived in PA Ryan would definitely still be her patient. She’s kind but firm and gets results. I only hope I can find one here in NC as good as her. She’s really really good and I miss this group a lot!

I went to see Dr. Yearick to have dental work for my child. I told her I did not want my child receiving mercury fillings. So I paid a lot more for the filings to have the alternate, which is resin fillings, a month ahead of time. After surgery I found out that she disregarded what I said, went a cheaper route and in fact placed 3 mercury fillings after being told by me that I did not want them at all. I am very unhappy and will never go back again. I still am waiting for the refund due to me, because of not using the resin that cost a lot more, that I had paid for. I was told she is disputing it. What a joke! She was not at all professional and didn't care that she placed the mercury in my child's mouth. Most places don't offer mercury anymore.

She's really a terrible dentist. Instead f helping my sons teeth (I found out from a different dentist he has enamel issues) she blamed me and his diet. He didn't get the treatment he needed. And now I'm spending thousands to save his teeth!

The staff is rude, Dr. Yearick is just as terrible with the kids. I really don’t understand why would she work with kids. My kids were terrified of her , we never came back to that horrid dental office!

Wasted Time! My wife and I had reasearched pediatric dentists in our area so we could take our five year old to not only get a check up, but to start consistent visits for years to come. One sticking point that you will find in most Lewisburg offices, is they do not like or want to have you with your child during the visit. My wife and I specifically asked if this would be an issue as we insisted to be with him during the visit. After having a bad experience in another dentists office we did not want the same outcome. We were told that would be fine so we set up the apt which went smooth at the start of this year. Fast forward to today.. we had an appointment set up, went in and found that he would be getting X-rays. My wife was ok and asked how they do them, with the plates to bite down on, or is it one where you have the machine circle your teeth. She did not get an answer. A few minutes later the lady came to get him. I decided to go with him and was stopped at the door. She stated I was not allowed to go in. A little confused, I asked what? What do you mean I can’t go with him? She said it was the office policy that parents can not go back to be with their child. (All this going on while a smaller child left on their own came out crying) I explained that months ago when we decided to visit this clinic, we specifically asked if we can accompany our child and that was the main reason we chose to use them. She said without any emotion, “it is our office policy and that I was not allowed to come back.” “She also stated that on our first visit we were allowed back for only that one time.” “Office policy”. She also stated that we should have read the policy that we signed. Are you kidding me! We specifically asked months ago about being back. If we had seen a policy stating that we can not come back, we would have left. So, I took my son back out of the door way, and told her I’m sorry, but if I can’t come back, he is not going in - Still not a care from her - overall it seemed like my family’s time and concerns were not important to them. They must have a lot of patients so losing one shouldn’t make a difference. We left and will not be back. In closing, if you are ok with leaving a young child to go back on their own, or have an older child who is ok on their own, this may be the office for you. If you would like to be with them to ensure everything goes ok, good luck, you should choose another office that supports your decisions. Wasted Time! This office is ridiculous, They are a pediatric dentist office and treat ppl with disrespect. They do NOT smile at all, They are rude to the children if they have cavities. Yes they do NOT let anyone but a parent take them to an appointment. I had called to reschedule an appointment 20 HOURS ahead of time and they sent me a bill for 50.00 for a missed appointment because it wasn't 24 HOURS!! However they had called me 2 hours before to cancel! My grandson is 8 years old and he told me she was quite rude with her words to him, Unacceptable!! I am looking for a new caring dentist not a dentist that makes any child feel horrible if they have some cavities. The hygienist was pretty cocky to him as well as I was in the room with him at the time. They are only nice to the patients if they are cavity free! Absolutely the worst professional i have ever met in any field. The staff and Dr. Yearick are condescending and rude. Dr. Yearicks bedside manner is so poor one struggles to comprehend why she is even around children. She more expensive than average and has questionable hygiene for being in a medical field. Hands down a terrible place. I now gladly drive my 6 year old daughter an hour and a half away to state college for her dental work instead. It is absolutely worth it.

I took my toddler to this dentist because she was the closest pediatric dentist in our area. However, after our second visit, I can absolutely say that we are never going back again. She treats children as if she has very little understanding. My young child is under 4 and very sensitive. At his checkup he was told he must sit in the chair and behave like a big boy and that I was not allowed to help. Through tears he was placed in the chair, pinned down, and his mouth pried open. Not going back!

First I must say, the sraff here is rude!! I have had several encounters with them where they speak to you in a nasty manner and treat you like you're beneath them. Dr. Yearick was nice at first, but the minute your child shows a little fear or moves in her chair she will yell at them. Grab them, and scold them. Not my cup of tea. I have never been to a dentist office where the patient wasn't the first priority. They care more about that Drs dog, and whether or not you owe them money.

My son has seen Dr. Yearick for several years. Dr. Yearick is able to succesfully work with children where others are not able. My son went to her at a young age and would still be going to her if she would accept adults. My son has extreme anxiety and he knew when he went to Dr. Yearick, there would be no surprises. She was upfront and forthright and my son knew he could trust her. I recommend Dr. Yearick highly.

I had no interaction what so ever with this doctor. My child was called back,I was told I must remain in the waiting room and I wasn't even allowed back to the room to shake hands with her. I have never even seen her and was given no information about what procedures were done or how my child did.I was not given an opportunity to ask questions or speak with anyone as I was not allowed to leave the waiting room or accompany my 3 yr old. I have also been hung up on many times by staff when calling

I needed a paper filled out for my son for school and Dr Yearick was going to charge me $7 just for her to fill it out! Then she informed me that she cannot see my son unless a parent was with him. His father is deployed and I cannot take off work. My husband (my son's stepfather) was going to take him but she still said no, he needs a parent. Since when are stepparents not considered parents??
