Great Doctor who cares an offers a much needed service.

I have been a patient of Dr Ashraf since 1990 when I had my first heart attack, I was on his treadmill !!! He tried to stop it and I insisted to keep it going !!!!! Dr ashraf stopped it ; He said you are not going to die in my office !!!! I was Scheduled for St Joe in Syracuse But; because of the Ice storm I had been turned back home, to wait !!!! I called Rochester Strong memorial and begged for a heart surgery ASAP , cause I had been put on lock out by the NYSDOCS where I was a teacher, they said they had a professor who was a specialist in heart surgery coming back Monday and He was looking for and I would be his first Monday !!!!! I did not need surgery I had Six by pass Arteries.... since then I have been with Dr Ashraf who has saved my life Four times I was not expected to live what more can you expect out of a Super Doctor. Appointment was at 3pm waited till 4pm and was still waiting in lobby. Decided to just leave cause I had another appointment at 430pm. Never even checked on either after asking what was going on. Staff was very unfriendly as well when trying to discuss a reschedule date

I've been a patient of this practice for over a year now. he is sometimes late, one time I waited in the waiting room for over a hour but other than that I've never had problems, mostly friendly staff.

Full disclosure: I am a previous employee of the office and contracted with the doctor to build his website. Now to the meat and potatoes. I was privileged to meet Dr. Ashraf in 2004 as a newly graduated nurse working in Carthage Area Hospital. I was nervous and intimidated to discuss things with him during rounds at first, but he is so personable it is hard to stay that way for long. Over the next eight years, I was honored to have him mentor me and show me how to become a better practicioner in my own right. I saw him provide skilled competent care all hours of the day. And when he says he is accessible, he MEANS it. He randomly dropped in on the floors to "check on his people" at all hours, and it is almost like he has a sixth sense in knowing when somebody needed him there. He would appear, and fix the issue. After I left the hospital, I worked for him in his office. Believe me when I tell you I have never seen a man work longer hours or harder than he does. And he truly remembers details of things discussed at the last appointment six months later. I don't know what vitamins he takes, but he ran circles around me day after day, never seeming to be tired or lose his drive to provide excellent care. Fast forward a few more years, when I was hospitalized myself with infectious mononucleosis. Dr. Ashraf and Lydia made my hospital stay as pleasant as one can be, and I have never felt like I was in better hands. From the admission process to the discharge, I was totally informed and consulted each step of the way. They called my job to tell them I was ill, they made sure every prescription was available with my insurance and they really followed up after the fact with check in phone calls and appointments. If you are looking for a truly compassionate physician who takes complete care of you, this is your doctor. I have since moved away, and I have never found another provider like him. Thank you for taking great care of my parents. We appreciate your caring attitude. It is hard to find Doctors like you along with your knowledge and experience!

I am a patient at this practice, the staff isn't friendly and the doctor is never on time. If they are running late that's fine but some sort of communication would be great.

The staff isn't friendly and he is never on time. Average hour wait time in the office AFTER your appt. I get people can be late but the staff can say they are running behind.
