I visited this psychiatrist on one occasion. My initial experience with him was uncomfortable as he asked me to leave all my paperwork in the car very abruptly. He did prescribe a medication that was helpful but I did not go back to see him. I felt intimidated although I have heard good things about him.

The good: -they sometimes do telehealth appointments. The bad: -when they do decide to do a telehealth appointment, we pay the exorbitant fees over CashApp (yea....) then we end up waiting on the video call for HOURS before the doctor joins, and he's only on with you for not even 2 full minutes... unreal. During those ~two hours, we try to reach out to them to ask "why the wait?" The "message is read" icon appears, telling us they've read the message, but they very rarely reply. Then we call the office to ask the same question, and they don't answer the phones. Overall: EXTREMELY UNRESPONSIVE, EVEN AFTER RECEIVING PAYMENT. LEAVE YOU IN LIMBO AFTER PAYMENT BUT BEFORE SEEING THE DOCTOR, SO GOOD LUCK GETTING THAT PRESCRIPTION YOU NEED, EVEN AFTER PAYING. Dr. Farooque is a wonderful Dr. who listens and is on my side and helping me every strep of the way to come off of medication. Look forward to the new group meetings!

Dr Farooque and his staff are very kind and professional. Definitely recommend his practice if your looking for a good caring and psychiatrist!

Health Grades will reveal the true poor quality and lack of care. Zero stars is more accurate. Also be aware- even if "in network" you will get the full 400$ bill. They don't bill the insurance. Then you will have to pay or be reported to credit. I would not refer a anyone to this doctor. Horrible Horrible Horrible.

Dr. Farooque is the best! My husband and I see him together. We have been stable and doing great since coming to him for treatment. I was on 10 different medications or more when I came to him. Now I am on 1 and with the Medical Marijuana I no longer need all the other pills. I sleep great and have a better quality of life! Thanks Doc!!!

I have dealt with my deal of Psyc Docs and I have to say that Dr. F and his staff really do a good job with leveling up or down as needed based on each patient. If you go to your appointments on time, be honest and don't seek attention for the sake of disruption in the office. They will bend over backwards for you. I cant say enough good things. Truly great doctor.

The office staff is unbelievably awful. Not even sure what the point of making an appointment is, you’ll wait over an hr regardless. The staff is really really bad.

They don’t care about patients only money. I went as a new patient at the end of January 2021 tried to reschedule my follow up appointment to be ignored for a month leaving voicemails 3-4 times a week and sending emails I didn’t hear back until 3/4/2021 then I made a virtual appointment....don’t do it. They don’t answer when you call so if they call you better not miss it or lord knows when you will speak to someone. At the virtual appointment they wouldn’t let me speak to the dr until I paid the balance due (which I had no problem with but I wasn’t paying a $50 no show fee when they are the ones who never answered or returned any of my messages) so I told them I would pay the balance minus the fee just to be ignored through the virtual messages. It’s very hard to find a psychiatrist in Jacksonville and I read the reviews and thought this would be a decent dr but I was definitely mistaken. Worst dr I have ever been to since moving here. Update: when they saw my review they cancelled my appointment that was at 210 and cancelled my appointment at 250 because I left a bad review then when I said I was going to report them they told me they would see me today. Customer service here is HORRENDOUS. The dr was nice when I did see him but his staff ruins everything. Updating again - dr farooque is nice like I said he personally reached out to me to rectify the situation and talked to me after office hours. He apologized for his staff’s rude behaviors and proceeded with my appointment. I really appreciate dr farooque he is patient and understanding but the rest of the staff need to be more considerate and respectful especially if you work in a mental health facility They don’t care about patients only money. I'm very pleased I found a dr. That listened to me. I feel as though like myself I'm self pay and I'm paying the doctor so they need to listen to what has worked or hasn't worked. He changed my medication when I felt it just wasn't working anymore for my needs. Staff is very pleasant and professional! Five stars here

STAY AWAY FROM HERE. Anyone with any form of mental issue that is attempting to make the first step towards healing, stay away from his practice. It's absolutely mental. He completely abuses the currently janky healthcare system and corrals people like cows in a slaughterhouse only to immediately give you drugs without any proper evaluation or explanation and then schedule a virtual appointment for two weeks later without giving you the option of canceling then and then or getting a physical one. Dr. Mohammad Farooque is the McDonald's-Man of Adderall and Ritalin. He speaks over you to make himself sound smart while he's just filling in the order of whatever prescription you wanted at your preferred pharmacy, asks you to leave a positive Google review, then sends you outside after scheduling a virtual appointment. He did not explain anything about the medication or its side effects. He just gave me my order of McMethylphenidate without cheese and had me on my way.

Great experience, I must say longer than usual wait times but now that’s it’s virtual it’s much much better. Dr. Farooque is a great doctor.

I had a horrible visit! I have a history of mental health issues but recently I went through a very traumatizing loss. When I walked in I was basically asked what do I want. When I expressed my concern that he was prescribing some strange medication without even having asked me any questions he asked what do I want, then told me he knows whats in my mind and for me to just say it. I've never been more humiliated in my life! I left feeling worse than when I went in! And since I don't have insurance, I had to save up to go see him! Don't see him if your expecting someone to hear you out and try to empathize with you!

Easy to talk to and friendly staff

I had my appointment booked two months out, apparently I was booked as a follow up instead of a new patient. The staff lost their minds with this. I sat in the waiting room over an hour while 6-8 other people went ahead of me during MY scheduled time. I almost had 2 anxiety attacks waiting. When I finally see the doctor, he’s very cold and careless. Was on his phone texting, then he’d ask me a question just to text again. His volume was up on the phone too. He then got a call which interrupted me and he told me he had to take it and stepped out. After 2.5 hours there I was FINALLY done. Now I’m looking at the charges he sent to my insurance and I’m rather certain he’s a fraud too. Website says $275 for a visit but charges insurance $300, & it says $75 drug test, but $100 to one.Requires drug testing and then bills it to the insurance as long term drug therapy. Which is NOT an issue I came in with. I also left the page for auto payment blank, but yet still got a random charge yesterday.

Dr.Farooque is very nice and helpful. He always tells me all of my options and i never have to wait long at all.

The worst place ever dr is fine but the billing and front help are not professionals at all. We are here to be treated for mental health !!!!

Horrible experience didn’t care about what I had to say he was chewing on nuts as he talked to me .The. Mailed me a bill for a copayment when I already paid in the office ! Horrible experience please don’t wats your time .

He was nice, I went a few times but he is a pill man and my family dr. can prescribe the medicine that he gave me. He really helped me out though. I was a basket case. It just takes a long time to get in to refill and he only take 5 minutes once you get in with him. After waiting over an hour. UGH.. I hate to write this review because I genuinely like Dr Farooque. However, the staff is TERRIBLE. In the two + years we have came to this dr.... the staff DOES NOT AND WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONES. You can't set an appointment unless you email and pray that they respond. Recently my insurance has changed the quantity allowances for my husband's medication and they needed special approval from the dr to proceed as normal. I have sent 5 emails and no response. My husband literally had to drive to the dr office twice the day before and back to pharmacy trying to get them to do there job. Byrnn promised she would fax in the required paperwork and of course didn't follow through. So today I call SEVERAL times and by the grace of God they answered for the first time in well over a year. The lady who answered the phone (Christina) proceeded to argue with me and act like we haven't been trying to get this issue resolved for TWO WEEKS. Finally, Brynn makes the call to the insurance company but still hasn't faxed the required paperwork. These are the laziest people on the planet - meanwhile... my husband is still waiting on his medication he has been without for two weeks when he's been on it for two years. Very comfortable an always feel at ease an if I need to talk or ask a question the Dr. is always there for an answer. Great Dr. I would recommend him to anyone needing someone to talk w about yr problems, struggles or just ordinary life!

BEST caring doctor I've ever met. Recently I've been seeing comments about Dr. Farooque and his staff that are LIES. First off he is very caring and concerned. Someone commented saying they were sitting there and he wasn't talking to them but writing a prescription. He's NOT a psychologist he's a psychiatrist..THAT'S WHAT HE DOES. And trust me He may have not been talking to you but believe me when I tell you he was evaluating you by watching you. And the main thing that upset me was the comment about the staff. They are very caring also and they know what they're doing. The office has never been FILTHY and the ppl who write those reviews had to be either paid to write it or Dr. Farooque stop seeing them. He does random drug tests on all patients so they probably had dirty urine and couldn't get their prescription anymore. And after EVERY DEROGATORY thing they said; I BETCHA they filled that prescription...bol.
