Thank goodness I found him! I have been struggling with insomnia for many years. In just one visit, he diagnosed the problem and knew exactly what to do. Now I sleep much better and I am more focused at work.

I have been struggling with insomnia for years. In one visit, he diagnosed and solved the problem. I am now more focused at work. So glad to have relief after all this time!

Went to this doctor last month for a brain mri. And I was asked did I have any metal in my neck I said yes a bb bullet. Needless to say He asked again and I gave him the same same. He than says “are you sure you didn’t get shot by the police” I took that I a form of racism

I have seen this doctor several times. On every visit I waited in a room for 2 - 4 hours!! Dr. Shamsnia is not a doctor that communicates well at all!! Very difficult to talk to, I wish I wouldn't have got stuck with him as my doctor!!

Definately a very intriguing and intelligent Neurologist. Very fortunate to have been seen by such an amazing doctor. I would consider yourself lucky if you get an appointment and see the doctor. Shamsnia is 1 of the top 10 neurologists in the Country. Have an issue, then get your true answers here. Must be patient to be seen by the best and smartest. Keep that in mind. I would give this man zero stars. I had to wait 2-4 hours every visit. He left the room twice to take phone calls that lasted 10 minutes. He diagnosed me with Primary Progressive MS based on many tests, including a lumbar puncture. He prescribed self-injections of a very expensive drug, costing me thousands of $$. I had such a bad reaction after the 6th/7th injection, I should have gone to ED. When I researched the drug, it is used ONLY for Relapse/Remit MS! I was so disturbed by his cavalier manner, I wrote a long email outlining the questions I had for my upcoming appt. His inability to communicate effectively with me was a travesty. He ordered a sleep-study, which I later learned was done by a business he owns. After a year of believing I had MS, I went to an Ochsner neuro for a 2nd opinion. After another LP & more tests, she assured me I don't have MS! I spent a year in mental/emotional for a year because of his incompetence!!!

My visit was very comforting. This doctor does the proper testing with the most advanced equipment . He explains everything in detail and is very understanding.

Office staff and doctor both on the rude side on more than one occasion.

Did a sleep study in April, I went thru hell and back to try and get my results..Needless to say the front office set you up with an appointment and when arriving, you wait for hours and, Dr Shamsnia is no where to be found..This office is not professional at all!

Took my gf's mother in for a visit. Staff was rude and had to wait an hour and half past our appointment time to be seen.

Office staff is horrible and wait times are ridiculous. Was talked at instead of talked to by the staff. Will never go back to this dr as I felt demoralized after I left.

Try 0. I can’t believe the person that was 29 and he wouldn’t give them pain meds. He practicially asked me what I wanted. I was 36 & was in a wreck. Tried to get me to say things hurt that didn’t & Rx me 150 Lortab/month for what we thought was whiplash but I found out after seeking a new dr I had a brain condition & have had 3 brain procedures and a hemorrhage and I don’t even take that much pain meds now. The wait is as horrible as he was. So glad I found a great Dr on Northshore he was BAD!

He was good w testing thoroughly due to 29 years old he did not believe in writing any pain med even though he Put me through multiple extremely rigorous testing,bc he thought he would show me nothing was wrong or it was bearable,so he did every test he could An each 1 showed just how bad I really was but worst which I understand he don't want to youth hooked on pain meds however,I didn't want to suffer with pain, so where is the balance,well to him I had to deal with it,bc I was 29 he judges

Very knowledgeable. You will have to wait because he is in high demand, but isn't it worth it for your health? Very kind staff as well. Highly recommend him.
