The whole process for having my eye checked for possible macular degeneration from the front office staff to the Technicians and then examination with Dr. Chudhry went so smoothly. I was very anxious and each of the staff i encountered made me feel comfortable and thouroughly explained each test they were doing and the results. I appreciated the knowledge and experience of Dr. Chaudhry and left feeling completely confirdent with his diagnosis and explanation. I could not have been more impressed by the whole visit and would highly recommend to anyone else facing a possible serious eye problem .

Excelent stuff, Dr. Colina very nice. Great Dr. But, only one complaying : their office is extremely cold inside. Is winter time they need to fix that issue. Other then that , great Dr.’s.

Unfortunate. Very good surgeon but has the typical modus operandi of the profession. RUSH--it's all about it. Explain? Listen? NO TIME. If you finally get a question in, it is greeted with obvious annoyance. Two questions...good luck? Discussion personal or medical?....no time or desire. Be ready for his occasional blame, too. Strikes at your heart for things that you have no control over or simply that you didn't know. Like my optometrist who should have seen my condition as a 'medical emergency' but let 3 weeks pass when scheduling w/his office. Yes, blamed me for this. Or that I am 'unwilling' to have my good eye dilated. That's because I would need a driver. Pre-alerting of the test without blaming would work for me. Like the title says...very good but.....after a year of surgeries & visits I dread going to his office more each time.

Very professional and courteous an excellent physician and staff.

I am a caretaker for an elderly woman. She had a terrible experience at the Waterford office. The front desk staff were rude, disorganized. This was not a good first impression. My chair was wiped down with disinfectant and the seat was wet. I was told to sit down and it would dry. My client said, no I need to wipe it first. Being handicapped, I was not allowed to have my caretaker stay with me. They were rude to her as well. The staff was loud and around. They were eating at their desks and answering Phones with their mouths full. There was 1 gentleman who helped me, he knew I was upset. The tech I had was very nice. I received and injection but the explanation was very vague. I couldn’t see to fill out the packet of paperwork and wasn’t offered any help. I took the packet home so my daughter could assist me. I received a call the next day asking if it was done. It wasn’t done because I have to wait for my daughter to help. As I was waiting, a woman came in to pick up her husband. The front desk worker asked, “ who told you to come back at this time” the woman responded “ YOU did” There was also a woman, who fell asleep waiting for her ride. Apparently, no one called her ride to let her know she was done. The lady waited for 1 hour. I’m not sure I want to go back there. The lack of professionalism has me really upset. I would hope, the staff would be helpful to Seniors and show some compassion to the patients. Especially when they are here for an eye condition and cannot properly see to fill out paperwork. Unfortunately I dislike writing about my experience at Retina Group of New England, but I think it is necessary. I had an appointment on 7/29/19 at 2:30. Was examined by technician (who was excellent) and brought to back waiting room for pictures. They called my name and I was brought to exam room. No pictures were taken. Dr Chaudry came in and did exam and said I did not need to come back. He did show me pictures and said I had scaring in my eye since my last visit. I knew something was wrong at that point. I said I had no pictures taken, but doctor was already on his way out. Again I told technician who was writing down my information that I had no pictures taken. She asked if I remember the blue dot while pictures were taken. Again...no pictures were taken. Discussions began and I was ushered back to waiting room. Shortly after that they brought me in for pictures and then dismissed me and said I was finished. My concerns...1. No one asks you for “ your name or birthday “ to identify you correctly. 2. It was another patient’s pictures used for my exam. 3. What if there “was” a problem and in all of this confusion? 4. I think I deserved an explanation. I have never heard of any complaints about this practice. In fact, most of my friends with retina problems have raved about Dr Chaudhry. I have taken my mother there many times and she has received excellent care from the doctors. There aren’t too many retina specialists in this area so we are lucky to have a good practice in Waterford, Ct. I have never heard of any complaints about this practice. Dr. Chaudhry is an expert at what he does. The staff is great. They offer all the latest treatments, I know that I am in good hands.
