Our family is new to the area and we really like Dr. Vyas and her team. Our two young children really like everyone in her office. Very friendly and informative!

If I could give her no stars I would. She does not listen to what is going on with you. You have to be a strong advocate for yourself under her care, if you aren’t be prepared to be miserable with no treatment or suggestions. If you are healthy, go to her. If you have underlying conditions, chose another doctor. One who will call you instead of communicating via mychart.

I came into urgent care with a golf. Ball size lump on my collar bone, she told me if it didn't hurt not to worry. About it. A month later I found out I had stage 4 Hodgekins lymphoma. She failed to see 3 main symptoms of this cancer and I had them all. Thank God someone overlooked my scans to save my life. I wish I could sue for almost losing my life due to carelessness of her lack of knowledge.

After writing a dialogue of frustrations I have opted to clear the page and just get to my point. YOU, the PATIENT, are just one of many. (Everyone does need a doctor) Understanding that you want to feel heard, this office is not the practice! You will be heard (eventually, just stay on hold no matter how frustrating it is, they do answer at some point!) heard by the receptionist, the medical assistant, and possibly a RN but they don’t communicate with each other. At no point should a receptionist triage! To wait a week to be seen when you are not well is unacceptable. We put our trust in our doctors (when we actually see them!) but we need to advocate for ourselves. If someone in scrubs gives you information, you instinctively take their word over the plain clothed receptionist but that medical assistant is not the doctor. Dr. Vyas is so busy micromanaging the patients that fit into her schedule that her staff is taking liberty to make calls that are not theirs to make! Just a heads up, if you are someone who want the personal attention, do not go this route. And if you do see Dr.Vyas, do not let her tell you to “wait it out” because the vicious cycle starts again. So much for getting to the point ????????‍♀️. If anything, I hope I have given you reading material while you are on hold navigating through the system!
