Dr. Neil Blackburn

I have been a patient of Dr. Blackburn’s since I was a child, my whole family is. Recently, I went in for my six-month cleaning and was asked several covid-19 questions upon entering. One being, have you had contact with a covid-19 positive person. I work at a hospital, so when asked this question I was honest and stated possibly. I explained my situation and that I am wearing personal protective equipment every day while at work but had been around several positive patients and co-workers. I offered to leave if anyone felt uncomfortable or unsafe. They chose to proceed with my cleaning. The following day at work I answered my WORK phone to find Dr. Blackburn’s wife on the other end. She began lecturing me and ranting how I scared several employees and one quit because she felt unsafe. At this point I was stunned and speechless. It was never my intent to scare or upset anyone I was just honest. She spoke to me in a way that was so demeaning I was almost brought to tears. She made

Dr Blackburn in Amelia. My first new dentist appointment today: First X-ray's Opps I didn't do it right let me do it again. Love all that radiation going through my head. Measuring my gum line was so painful it was like ripping out my gums! I have had that done 2 times a year without pain! When I ask "can I wash the blood out of my mouth..(while sitting up) she squirted the hose in my mouth and ask me if I wanted to spit it out or swallow it! ??OMG. I motioned spit so she took the suction thing, stuck it in my mouth and water went all over me. Then I was to wait on the dr. After 10 minutes I got up and left! NO cleaning today! Came home and call my dental insurance!

My husband and I were clients for TWENTY years. He called to reschedule as he couldn't walk. Received a $25 no-show fee. Called to inquire and told he didn't show in 2001. 18 years ago! I've never been a no-show. LINDA at the office took it upon herself to cancel MY appointment scheduled next month, WITHOUT calling ME. Guess 20 years of 2x yr cleanings and dental procedures means NOTHING. DISAPPOINTED.

The scheduler at Blackburn's office got upset when my husband told her he was taking his business elsewhere. Scheduler then took it upon herself to cancel my appointment without speaking to me. A patient for 20 years - 2x/yr cleanings and dental procedures. Practice cares nothing about cliental.

Pleasant staff, clean office, clean employees. If you're looking for a professional, well-run dental practice, you can't go wrong here. Never had to wait. They are usually ready for me 15 minutes early. I don't use anesthetic and have never incurred any pain here. Very gentle Dr. and staff.
