Dr. Mayfield and staff are very friendly and professional. I had a procedure involving a needle being injected in my eye. Needled to say I was apprehensive and nervous. Dr. Mayfield performed the procedure so effortlessly that I didn’t know it had been done until he told me he had finished. None of my fears had been realized! If you need a ophthalmologist I highly recommend Dr. Mayfield.

Dr. Mayfield has been treating me for Wet Macular Degeneration for years now. This condition is not curable, but thankfully, it's treatable by a specialist! It is because of Dr. Mayfield's knowledge and skills that I am still able to not only SEE, but also to drive, etc. He is a true professional, and at the same time, he's personable and extremely caring. I have recommended him to so many people, and I'm so blessed to have been referred to him as a patient! I would be blind years ago if not for his expertise.

Dr Mayfield's services are above and beyond what you would expect as normal patient care. My daughter is special needs....he's very calm and explains all procedures to her before he begins. She's not anxious during her visits as he makes her comfortable. I would definitely recommend Dr Mayfield to anyone requiring a doctor.

He had rather argue with you than treat you. He may be ok but bad bedside manner

I had options to the healing of my left eye and he did not tell me until HIS method of healing did not work. I felt as though I was used as guinea pig for experimentation for a drug he was trying out.

My surgery with Dr. Mayfield was successful, and the staff was very polite and helpful!

Dr. Mayfield is the only local doctor who repairs retinal detachments. He is amazing. He saved my husband's eye. He did the procedure in the facility at West Ga Eye Care Center on Warm Springs Rd. in Columbus. In less than 24 hours, my husband's eye has already improved dramatically. This is the man to see for this problem.

Dr. Mayfield was an excellent physician and person. He saw me as an emergency in the middle of a busy clinic, and still took the time to fully inform me about my diagnosis. He fixed my eye and I can see now when I was blind before I came to his office. Highly recommended!!!
