I have seen about 5 different doctors regarding my eye condition and all gave me the wrong medication. Finally I was recommended to see Dr. Ragusa and he immediately found what’s wrong with my eyes . My insurance doesn’t cover the bill and Dr. Ragusa didn’t charge me . I can’t thank him enough. The front desk and his helpers are the best.. it’s a very friendly environment and I really recommend this doctor for all in need. Thank you Dr. Ragusa

Something flew into my eye and I called them to make an appointment. They took the object out of my eye and took good care of me. The people working here are amazing and so friendly. This is going to be my new eye doctor if I have any issues in the future!!!

Called wanting to schedule an urgent appointment but Dr. Ragusa was able to see me the same day. Additionally, he provided a treatment plan that is making a difference after only a couple of days. He and staff are quite friendly, plus the office is well equiped to diagnose any potential eye problem.

I went for an eye exam. Dr.Nikola and his entire staff are super friendly. This place has this family atmosphere. They have state of the art equipment. I strongly recommend Ophthalmic Consult of New York in Astoria Queens .

Such a pleasant experience! I just went in for a check up, but I'm squeamish about eye stuff. Dr. Ragusa was very understanding and cool - definitely felt like I was in good hands. Nice, clean office and friendly staff!

Dr. Ragusa works with our whole family. I have two children, 9 and 11, and we have all had wonderful experiences. His office is pristine, COVID precautions are fully in place and his staff are welcoming and great with follow-up. Dr. Ragusa has been extremely thorough and honest about our eye health and takes time to explain issues of the eye in layman’s terms. Not too efficient , this is the second time I walked out of the office, bc a long wait,.....poor of the manager walking ,up n down,TRYING to help patients,.......THE REST OF THE STAFF,UNCONCERNED, There was NO AIR FLOW, didn’t feel confortable at all,had to walk out, The FIRST TIME,after one hour of waiting,I walked to the reception , and asked why I’ve not been called?The registry page was gone . Dr. Ragusa was highly recommended to me by my optometrist Dr. Contento, and indeed he is great, I had bilateral cataract. I had fears of driving at night because its been hard to read the street names and I was afraid to get into an accident or get lost. I had the surgery done some 2 weeks ago. I have to say I was blind and now I can see, very clearly because of this great Dr. N. Ragusa. Dr. Jonathan Harris, my primary care physician at the Park South Medical, referred me to Dr. Nikola Ragusa at the Westchester Square Ophthalmology. The only doc clinic that I ever visited which has coffee/tea for patients along with some of the most helpful staff. The techs really help each other out to get the best possible eye images for pts and all their needs, The doc answered my questions and did thorough exam which is so important. All in all, place is very neat and clean, very well organized, respectful staff/secretaries and things ran smoothly and on time for most part, if it’s your very first visit do give your self 2hrs to 3.5hrs all together . I cannot speak highly enough of my experience with Dr. Ragusa. I saw him for the first time for a small procedure to remove a growth in the inner corner of my eye, almost directly on top of my tear duct. I was very nervous not only about having something removed so close to my eye but also because I’m terrified of pain of any kind (read: I’m a chicken). Dr. Ragusa made me feel completely at ease. He was extremely professional, courteous and attentive. He's the kind of doctor that cares about his work and his patients. Within the first few minutes I had complete confidence that I had made the right decision to see him. What I expected would be painful and somewhat scary was, at most, mildly uncomfortable. It’s been a few days since the growth was removed and there’s no sign it was ever even there. I highly recommend Dr. Ragusa and would absolutely go back to him again. I think Dr. Ragusa is an excellent Dr. he is patient, he takes time to get to know how you are how you have been since your last visit and any changes, he is #1 in my books. Need a top ophthalmologist here he is.

I was referred to Dr. Ragusa as a result of being diagnosed with cataracts and glaucoma. He came highly recommended and I immediately placed my trust in him based on his ability to clearly describe my conditions and what the course of treatment would be. He never rushed though the exam and made sure that my concerns were clearly explained. I have already recommended 2 friends to him who thanked me for having referred them to Dr. Ragusa.

I went to Dr. Ragusa because my optometrist said I was suspect for glaucoma. Dr. Ragusa knows his stuff. He takes the time to explain everything and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend Dr.Ragusa.

Dr. Ragusa is caring and thorough; he takes the time to listen, and explain clearly what your condition or prognosis is, what are treatment options (pros and cons) etc. Staff is also unusually friendly and helpful. The only downside is popularity and size of practice; wait times to see doctors and for various tests can be trying -- but it's worth it because Dr. Ragusa is so competent.

I went in for a much needed exam on my right eye. I had a spot on it that made me incredibly anxious. I saw Dr. Nikola Ragusa and he was incredible. This doctor was attentive, kind, answered any questions I had and responded well to my anxiety! He totally changed my view on going to the doctor. He comfortably removed the spot from my eye and attentively called me to see how I was doing that evening. I trust this doctor and highly recommend him to anyone who needs an eye doctor.
