Have always had good experiences.

I've only seen her a couple times and both times she seemed rushed and demonstrated a lack of concern. I felt she was questioning why I was there--first time was to establish with her and the second time was for a physical although all she really did was listen to my lungs and tell me I need to go to a gyn for a physical. While she came to me as a referral from someone I trust, it's unlikely I'll be returning.

I appreciate Dr Bergquam and the care she provides.

Dr Bergquam is walking with me thru the new to me uncharted waters of a stroke survivor and I really appreciate her knowledge and care for me.

Argumentative and apparently frustrated with both my wife and me

No additional comments. I am quite pleased with my medical providers and the care which they provide.

She just didn't seem to listen to me. If felt like she was quick to associate all my health concerns to my weight, but I don't think they all are as I've had some my whole life throughout multiple weights and lifestyles. She was nice, but a little judgmental and glossed over when I asked for information about my medicine stating she told me before and then didn't renew my prescription because she felt I needed to do my own research. It's hard to talk to someone when I feel like I'm in trouble for not doing what I should. It was ok, just not the best.

My experience with Providence has always been great and my doctor is the very best.

Dr Berquam is the best doctor I have ever had

Dr. Berquam is an awesome person and Dr. She is amazingly wonderful!!

I felt I had to do the research on my condition then inform this doctor which tests I needed. I have lost confidence in this doctor’s knowledge and decisions.

I received absolutely terrible care from Dr. Bergquam. I established care with her at Providence Newberg in November of 2021. I had recently suffered a traumatic miscarriage at 10 weeks and was suffering from panic attacks, which I brought up during our appointment. Instead of listening to what I was saying, Dr. Bergquam prescribed me medication for generalized anxiety (which I don't have) and then coded the visit as a specialist visit, simply because I mentioned my mental health issues. I don't mind paying more for my visit, but on principle, I shouldn't have to pay more simply because I discussed my medical history with her and asked for help. She also demonstrated no empathy and had terrible bedside manner. Don't go to her if you are looking for a compassionate provider who looks at your medical history holistically - she won't be doing that for you. I've been a patient of Dr Berquam for several years. I always recommend her to friends, family, and anyone asking for advice on a finding a general doctor. She listens and always makes me feel respected...even when I say "but I read on the internet..." The supporting staff of medical assistants, nurse practitioners, and reception area are also helpful and friendly. I've never had a bad experience.
