Dr. Kandel is always very thorough and asks me if I have any questions. I feel like she cares about me personally not just me as another person with physical issues to be addressed.

Dr. Kandel is one of the most attentive and expert at all she does. I have been going to her for the last 13 years and I will never give her up. Her attention to detail and expertise is way above average. I trust her in every way and she has never steered me wrong.

An outstanding doctor who listens and cares about her patients. Dr. Kandel spends sufficient time with you to determine your current health situation and needs. She does not leave the 'bulk" to a nurse-practitioner. I am so impressed with her knowledge of medicine and wish that other doctors could follow her example.

Yearly Medicare exam, great service as usual

Professional and individual approach to each patient !!! We would like to thank the doctor for his clear knowledge of the matter and understanding delicate attitude towards the patient! Dr. Kandel took time and an interest in my medical situation. She asked me questions and gave me an opportunity to ask her questions regarding my health plan as well. I felt a partnership with her regarding my medical needs by the conclusion of my appointment.

As a new patient, I was advised to arrive 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment time, and I did. After sitting in the waiting room for 45 minutes, i finally was taken to a examination room, and had temp and blood pressure checked. I waited more than 30 minutes for the dr. Total time spent with a doctor I had never seen before totaled just under ten minutes. Went for x-rays in the same building immediately after and was in and out in 15 minutes. The dr. called the days later and left a voice Mail to call the office to speak with a nurse to get the results of my x-rays. When I called, the nurse said they did not have any results listed in my file notes, so the doc had to call me back. She did call promptly, but overall I found her responses to my questions and comments to be somewhat dismissive, and i felt like she was just trying to churn me through. This was my first visit to Dr. Kandel's office. I went with my sister as our Uncle is her patient. Very courteous and helpful staff. Our appointment was at 4:40 and only one member of the family is allowed into the office because of space. Since my sister had taken him before and we were there for labs follow up, I figured she should go in with him. I waited in the office lobby and my sister and Uncle didn't come out until 5:50. My sister did mention that she and our Uncle waited 30 minutes before Dr. Kandel came in. We didn't get him back home until about 6:15. I don't know if this is standard for each visit but our Uncle is a diabetic and is on Insulin so it's important that he checks it before each meal. It sounds like they discussed all his lab work in detail and made some changes so no complaints there. This was my first visit to Dr. Kandel's office. Dr Kandel has a genuine concern for her patients. Takes the time to research and troubleshoot the best care.

Awesome as usual. By far the best primary Doc I've ever had, I'm 54 and have had many. Many other people think so as well. She calls me at 8 or 9 pm and on weekends some times and it takes weeks to get a non critical appointment. That's tells you everything right there. My wife and kids get in to theirs in a day or two. In fact, I now feel I just did myself a dis-service ;) She will get straight to the point and tell you highly detailed medical information knowing damn well you will go look it up if you aren't fluent. If you need extra holding, sympathy or someone to listen to your BS, this might not be a perfect fit. Thanks again Dr. TMc

Dr. Kandel is knowledgeable, competent, efficient. I felt that I was in good hands during my first visit. We even shared a few laughs! She did not try to push pills. What she said made sense. Dr. Kandel recommended a couple of appropriate referrals to specialists. It is up to me to find out if they are in-network. She refers to Elmhurst-Edward in-house laboratory and physicians so I needed a new order for Quest Lab which accepts my insurance. I may have to get another referral from Dr. Kandel to use non-E.-E. physicians. I haven't gotten that far. Her staff is outstanding, especially Mary.

My disabled daughter has been a patient of Dr. Kandel for years. Dr. is very empathetic to the situation, and always treats her with the utmost patience and skill. Highly recommend her to all.

Dr Kandel takes the time to listen to you and explain what needs to be done to improve your health goals. I didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes to see her.

Visit was great. Dr Kandel is very nice & her medical knowledge is high. My every question was answer. I recommend her to every person who worry about own health.

Follow up after a burn and a visit to the E.R. Dr. Kandel comes highly recommended. I give her a five star. Always personally gives me a call back. Gives me adequate time and excellent treatment . If I need a specialist she always sends me to the best.

Writing another negative review since after a year of correspondence with the Edward-Elmhurst organization, and even doing a 3-way call with my insurance company and Edward-Elmhurst where my insurance listed the ways in which the coding was incorrect and resulted in hundreds out of my own pocket, the action item was on the doctor's office to correct the coding. I paid the money so it wouldn't negatively impact my credit score, so obviously they would have little motivation to right this wrong. Still never got my prescription slip mailed to me either as they said they would. Definitely going to drive an hour to my previous doctor and avoid going to this facility, which is only a couple blocks from me. I had an appointment at 4:40. Within 15 minutes I was call inside by a nurse. She took my vitals and send me to an empty room where I waited for a Doctor for about 45 minutes. Finally I came out looking for a doctor. She was sitting on her computer doing her work while I was waiting for her in the room. I was very disappointed!
