Dr. Dholakia is an awesome infectious disease doctor. He and Dr Dixon saved my leg whereas UT wanted to amputate. Office staff is friendly and appointments are on time as well.

Dr Dholakia is amazing. I went to him reluctantly the first time because I knew I was seriously ill, but did not want IV antibiotics. He convinced me he could kill the infection of I would just let him do his job. He was right and I was infection-free after his expert treatment. I contracted a rare and serious bacterial infection in the hospital while having surgery to remove cancer. Dr. Dholakia and his entire staff have been kind and compassionate during my treatment. He is extremely knowledgable and experienced in his field. He and his staff have been working with my insurance company so that I am not burdened to navigate through the health insurance system. Appointments are easy to make. Wait times are short. He takes his time during my appointments. He answers all my questions so that I understand the process. I trust him completely. I can't imagine another doctor taking care of me right now.

The most egocentric and hot tempered doctor I have ever met. I have cerebral sparganosis and I am almost cured thanks to my infectious disease doctor. I start one more aggressive treatment when insurance kicks in January and I should be free from this disease for good. It’s 14 days high dose praziquantel - I have had to wait for insurance to do the aggressive treatment due to the outrageous cost of this medication. I have completed 7 treatments of 2-3 days high dose praziquantel at a time between that time because that’s all I could afford. The treatments helped immensely, but failed to eradicate completely. I no longer have hypertension, tachycardia, I can walk on my own again, no more restless leg syndrome, etc. But I still hear crunching sounds in my head daily. Dr. Nizar told me he will not say I’m crazy unless he proves that I’m crazy, but barely did any tests, and ignored every piece of information I gave him to solve my case and help me. I sent emails explaining what was going on and he ignored them. I begged for help on his emergency lines and he ignored them, instead he lashed out against me for it. I told him mycoplasma was in my central nervous system because I responded to medications that treat it, he said no way. I had two lumbar punctures and the doctor that did them allowed me to take antibiotics while doing the puncture, so they didn’t show anything. Turns out I had mycoplasma in my CNS the whole time, AND Rocky Mountain spotted fever, which took me by surprise. Come to find out, parasites use Wolbachia bacteria to reproduce. Wolbachia is a Rickettsia bacteria that shows on the Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever test. He tried to tell me I didn’t have this disease because my IgG on this test was 1:64. Two months later, my IgG was 1:128, and was recorded as positive by the Galveston County Health District. My pathology on my MRIs show worms in my lumbar spine that was passed off as blood vessels, but disappeared after several anti-parasitic treatments of Praziquantel. Blood vessels don’t disappear after anti-parasitic treatment, worms do. My discs in my spine had amyloidosis too. A worm wrapped around my spinal cord on my C-Spine and another branching from my disc to my spinal cord revealed the truth, finally. He missed all of this because of his arrogance. He would look at something right in front of me and say he didn’t see it, even when other doctors diagnosed the problem based on the pathology. Yes I had psychiatric symptoms because my CNS was affected heavily. I was using a walker to walk right before I pulled a tapeworm out of my nose in January 2020. I was afraid for my life and begged doctors for help. I had to treat the sepsis with fish antibiotics, which my blood tests always showed infection when I wasn’t on antibiotics. This infection came from hurricane Harvey, and took hold because I had untreated lyme for so long that I finally cured with antibiotics in 2018. This tapeworm is mostly found in Asia but also located in the Southern US coast. Hurricane Harvey was what caused it. He is hot tempered, don’t send him emails, don’t send a fax, don’t call his emergency line, because he obviously doesn’t want to be a real doctor. I got help without him but I would have died under his care. If you want to help someone, listen, do the proper tests, and LISTEN!!!! Set your ego aside. Dr. Dholakia is Amazing!! He saved my life after a post surgical infection. He followed my care while on home IV antibiotics, and made sure I was recovering well. He is very caring and kind. He is very knowledgeable about many fields of medicine. My thyroid was out of balance and he was able to adjust my medications to where I felt great within a week. I had a post surgical infection and Dr. Dholakia saved my life... he followed up with my care while on IV antibiotics at home. He listens to your concerns and is very knowledgeable on all areas of medicine. He is one of the rare doctors who actually cares about his patients. I had issues with my thyroid medications and he was able to adjust them - within a week I was feeling great. He knows his stuff!!!! His staff is warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this wonderful doctor........

Dr. Dholakia saved my life. Lyme disease was so bad I couldn’t finish a sentence and remember what I had said. Both my husband and I will be forever greatful. The girls in the office are wonderful and caring.

Superb. I am an attorney and I saw Dr. Dholakia after 9 months of visiting all different kinds of specialists who did not get close to determining the cause of my symptoms. Dr. Dholakia made a diagnosis of Lyme disease after just one visit and thanks to his knowledge, expertise, and kindness, I made a full recovery. I cannot rate Dr. Dholakia or his staff enough. They were extremely professional and friendly and I never did get to thank them appropriately for their care. Hence, this review.

I have been with Dr. D. for about 15 years. He has stepped up and fought with my insurance company to get me the antibiotic treatment I needed. Even though the insurance bureaucrats thought the cost was to high. Thanks to Dr. D. and his staff, I am alive and not disfigured. He will tell me the truth, even if I don't want to hear it.

Dr Dhoulakia was assigned to treat a staph infection in my nasal passages and he provided the right combination of antibiotics. I was able to overcome a recurring staph infection because of his care! Great doctor that I highly recommend

The best care I've received yet. Personable, friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. Kept me informed and gave me options in my care. From my 1st visit he assured me he would make me well and take care of my needs. He has kept his word. Highly recommended.

He was the most arrogant and rude Doctor I have ever come across. Actually one of the worst experiences I've had with any person ever. Doctors should be held just as responsible for the interaction with other people as they are regarded for their knowledge and experience in their field. I'm sure he is a very knowledgeable doctor but the way he treated me in my time of need and my vulnerable situation his behavior as a man was despicable
