Was surprised by his recent manner at an appointment. I've had a bad cough for months, (after having PE's). Saw him due to the chronic cough not getting better. He barely assessed me, and wrote it off as being a sinus issue. Weeks later, cough isn't better, seen ENT and allergist. Nothing there. Coughing up nasty stuff. Time to find a different pulmonologist.

The star boxes don't cover everything well. It should be known that while Dr. Wheeler is good, his office is poorly run. Dr. Wheeler said I would have a sleep study scheduled in the next week. 2 weeks later I had no study scheduled-I called back. I was chided like a 5 year old. I was told it could take 2 weeks to get insurance approval. Well 2 months later I scheduled with a NEW Dr. Got study less than one week and new CPAP one week after that. Still no follow up from Noel 4 months later

When seeing a doctor about a terminal disease, He should take time and discuss options available to make the quality of your life better. Although a new patient to Dr. Wheeler, I feel that he basically comes in, listens to your lungs and leaves. I don't care for him.

My experience visiting Dr. Wheeler's office was excellent. The staff were very professional, polite and caring. Dr. Wheeler took interest in working with me and diagnosingy my medical problem of not being able to sleep. He was very professional and caring and he took the amount of time necessary to help me. I would gladly recommend him to anyone that needs help in this area.
