Dr. Parker Charles Grow

3rd try to leave review. In 2015, reported symptoms to Murphy. He wasn’t concerned that I needed to pop a nitro before bedtime. Saw Dr. Grow who took over my heart care. We met, told him my symptoms. Said I needed another heart cath, and asked how “today works for you”. As a nurse, I knew that was an “uh-oh”...made arrangements and scheduled for following day. Woke up 4 days later in ICU on a vent, after quad bypass for treatment of 4 vessels with >90% occlusions. THIS MAN SAVED MY LIFE. He is warm, caring, with great bedside manner. He is one of my hero’s. I LOVE this Dr. he’s extra smart, communicates well, & I wouldn’t be here if not for his intervention. I was amazed that I didn’t have an M.I. Too bad I can’t say as much for the staff. It takes up to 48 hours (& threats of showing up and running naked in the hall ways) to get them to call you back. Took them 5 days to simply send my records to a neurosurgeon at Emory while I was waiting for critical spinal surgery.

I must have caught him on a bad day. He treated me so bluntly, I wanted to literally give up. Apparently he knows my body better than me, and didn’t listen to what I had to say. Yes, he may be one of the best cardiologists in Athens, but he leave a lot to be desired with his delivery.

Dr. Grow is a wonderful and caring doctor. I became a patient of Dr Grow after having a heart attack in the middle of the night. He was so professional, caring and has a wonderful bedside manner. I am truly grateful for the top notch care and after care I have received through him. I would highly recommend this doctor, he saved my life! The issue I was having could have been easily missed if so much concern and care had not been given. I am forever grateful! Thank you and God bless!

By far, Dr. Grow, is the finest and best cardiologist my husband has ever seen! He’s very thorough with his exams every time we visit.

Dr. Grow in my opinion is a very good cardiologist with a great bedside manner. I was sent to him after an overnight stay in the hospital and many tests. Luckily everything was fine but he took the time to talk to and listen to me. He also brought me back for another follow up just to be sure I hadn’t had anymore issues. My PCP likes him too. If you knew my PCP you’d understand why that’s a big deal. If you need a cardiologist, see Dr. Grow.

Dr. Grow is knowledgeable and informed. He is able to ascertain the issue, determine a course of treatment and get you and your heart on the path to a full, active life.

In addition to his excellent technical and professional skills, he cooperates, communicates and coordinates my treatment in a timely and thorough manner with my primary care physician! He is very busy and it is a good idea to get to the point. I personally take in a written list if I have multiple questions.

A great doctor who takes time with his patients.
