I had the misfortune of meeting Dr. Safari as a new mom in the hospital when my son was born. 3 days post C section, she began screaming at me and berating me asking why I hadn’t given my son formula when he was crying from hunger. I was never offered any formula by any of the other doctors or nurses and the lactation consultant had called in sick the first 3 days of my son’s life. Dr. Safari made me cry and feel as though I had been starving my child and I began to cry. She later apologized while lying about what she had said to me. Such an awful experience and almost a year later I am still traumatized by my interaction with her.
