Dr. Patrick Allan Chaney

I had to have a wisdom tooth surgically extracted, and I was so nervous. His office staff, nurse and Dr. Chaney were all so polite and made me feel so relaxed. He did a phenomenal job, and in the future, if I need need oral surgery, I’m definitely going back!

I was seen to have one of my wisdom teeth taken out. From the start that office was nothing but the best! I of course had to wait a month or so to get in but that is to be expected regarding something like this. We then had to reschedule due to COVID-19 which again was totally acceptable b/c I also work in the medical field and could not get in myself as I was working long hours. They did offer to put me on a waiting list to get me in sooner but I declined due to my schedule. I finally had it schedule for 7/15/20 and when I went in they were nothing but professional from the moment I walked in the door. Very nice and clean office! The nurse that took me back was very nice and made you feel very comfortable as no one enjoys having this procedure done. Went back in the exam room and then the other nurse that took care of me as well, was again very exceptional. Dr. Chaney came in and explained things very thoroughly and again made me feel at ease! Dr. Chaney and his staff were very kind and informative. I felt comfortable the whole time I was there. They all explained everything very well and I knew exactly what was going on and why. Would highly recommend going to him!

I can't say enough about the excellent care I received at Dr Cheney's office! After dealing with a abscessed tooth for over a month I was told it would be another month before getting in to have it extracted. They asked if I would like to be on the cancellation list, and 2 days later they called me to come in that afternoon! From the first phone call I made to their office, I was treated with kindness and respect. When I had the procedure done, all of the staff involved with my care were professional, and I felt like I was the only patient they had! Dr Chaney took his time talking and explaining the procedure and twice asked me if I had any questions for him. He was not rushed, and I did not feel like "just another patient". The nurses took their time explaining everything to me and i did not feel rushed to leave the office after waking up. They let me take my time until I felt ready to go. From the very first phone call until I left the office after my procedure, my care was top notch! One thing I might add is I had no idea who to go to to have this done. After getting names of several I started calling. What made me choose this office initially was the kindness shown to me by the first person that answered the phone. Trips to the dentist have always made me anxious, but this office makes necessary visits much, much easier. Dr. Chaney's staff is friendly, professional, responsive, and efficient. Dr. Chaney himself is very kind, knowledgable, takes his time to explain procedures and answer questions, and is virtually painless. I highly recommend him and his office! The Dr. is great; his office staff is a nightmare to work with. Unless you are paying completely out of pocket, do not depend on them to help in any way. They constantly lie and tell you they make contacts they never make. They said my insurance company didn't have a fax number.... Really, they insure the entire state of Ohio. They block you so you cannot talk to the doctor. I hope someone lets him know how terrible they really are. He is too good to have a staff like that. Dr. Chaney and his staff are the most professional medical professionals I have worked with in years. They take the time to explain the procedure and post surgical care with compassion and in a relaxed manner. Lima and Celina are very lucky to have such an experienced oral surgeon in their area.

No consultation to schedule surgery. He gets the x-rays, studies them and he is ready. He is laid back and will sit with you and inform you thoroughly. Then allows me to ask any questions freely. Staff was wonderful! I got a dry socket (ouch) and they gladly got me back in 3 times, and quickly, with no charges added! Price was great too!! I tell everyone about Cheney!! Terrible doctor and awful practice. All of his office staff behaves extremely unprofessional, rude, invective and they have been beyond disrespectful to me and to many other patients as well, I've learned. I am going through a ton of oral pain due to his inaction. Mr. Chaney is a very ruthless and shifty character with very weak morals and a unhealthy sense of victimhood. He and his staff are downright monsters -- and should be treated like monsters because he and office treated my situation with utter disregard disrespect. This guy is horrible. Extremely mean, cold and uncaring; along with his staff. All they care about is money. Not people. You're not a cosmetic surgeon, Chaney. Quit pretending as if you are one. Please go see any other oral doctor in the region other than this guy.

Rather than engage in a point-by-point response to my experiences with Oral Surgery Associates & Mr. Chaney, I want to respond to the more general issue at hand. My experience was horrible. As is customary for complaint this short, I will briefly offer one of Patrick Chaney's indecent undertakings in order to make the point that his office relies heavily on ?useful idiots?, that is, people who unwitting do the online dirty work of false reviews. There is no way is rating is this high here.
