Wonderful patient care was given, detailed explanation of what was going on with my issue and explained and answered questions I had in regards to my issue. Love that you have a North Office, cut my drive time to office in half.

Had a good experience so far. The desk, and the nurse or PA were both smart and courteous. The doctor spent time with me examining but also explaining my condition and prognosis to me. He also had a good bedside manner. So, on just my first visit, I am quite pleased. Also, this clinic is close to my house on the north side and everything else is on the South side so....I like that too.

I have only been there twice but I find the experiences to be a 10 just over the top! And thank you thank you thank you and hate to say it but look forward to seeing you again! God has given you and your assistant a wonderful talent and a wonderful sense of humor thank you so much for the pain relief and the smiles??????????

I am grateful for Dr. Hurlbut and his staff, especially my physical therapist, Erica Heiman. The injury caused to my finger by a hedge trimmer accident was traumatic for me, but I was immediately reassured that all would be fine when I met with Dr. Hurlbut. His willingness to take time with me and explain the damage that was done and the surgical repair required was so helpful. He and Erica were always just a phone call or a text message away when I had questions or concerns and their timely responses were extraordinary - to say the least. I have never witnessed such genuine compassion, care and concern from health care staff as I did with them. My finger is not 100% functional, but I am fortunate to still have my finger and to have it functioning as well as it is. This is due to Dr. Hurlbut and Erica. Praise be to God for them!

Had to wait over an hour! Not cool with a banged-up knee.

My conference call was scheduled at 4:45 PM and I received the call from the doctors office at 5:30 PM. Doctor is top notch but I was a bit annoyed at the lateness of the call and no notification if it was still happening or not so I had to just wait to see if it was coming because I certainly didn’t want to miss it.

This is a first rate facility. Big enough to cover all the help you need but small enough to provide personalized one on one friendly & happy service!!

I felt very comfortable today. All the people were very engaging and seemed interested In me. I didn’t feel like I was in an assembly line of patients.

I had hand surgery for a torn ligament in my thumb. I have had excellent care from Dr. Hurlbut, Jill his PA., and especially Julie in Physical Therapy. I am very pleased!

The staff was very friendly and Dr. Hurlbut was very knowledgeable and made sure I understood what my injury was. Chad was excellent, too! They both listened with intent to makes sure I got the best care!

Dr. Hurlbut was in emergency surgery so I saw Jill, his PA. I LIKE HER!!!! Very friendly, helpful, and humorous. Chad, the RT, was also very nice and helpful. Overall it was a very pleasant experience! Dr. H popped in for a few minutes and helped with my injection. I don’t think he remembered me from 10 years ago, but that’s okay. I recommend Dr. Patrick Hurlbut if you are having problems with your shoulder, knee. I went to Dr.H for a second opinion, l was amazed and am happy with the results of my shoulder repair. Thank you Dr. Hurlbut.

As a "seasoned" nurse, I know when a specialist is"the real deal" - and indeed that describes Dr. Patrick Hurlbut. Excellent bedside manner, attentive, obviously possessive of extensive knowledge base, no need to decide between pleasant personality and skilled clinician. For the time that Dr. Hurlbut spent with me, which was considerable, I knew that his attention was 100% focused on my problem. How could I ask for more than that. He obtained a thoughtful history, performed a thorough physical examination, discussed diagnostic and treatment recommendations, and I left his office with a plan. For all of that, I am deeply grateful. I would recommend Dr. Hurlburt without reservation to anyone who needs a thorough evaluation of any orthopedic complaint, most especially involving the upper extremities with special attention to the hand. Dr. Hurlbut took his time during my visit to do a physical assessment of my concerns. He rechecked my essays and checked my shoulder to discover my shoulder had gotten worse and is now in need of surgery. Dr. Hurlbut took the time to show me where the damage was and all the places that were in need of repair as well as explained how he would be repairing them. He also explained the length of time for recovery and rehab for this surgery and the possible outcome of this surgery. He didn't rush his time with me and was very thorough with his description and the extent of everything. I was then left with the nurse that went over the rest of the medical information with him and completed everything necessary for the surgery coming up in the near future. I'm very appreciative of the way Dr. Hurlbut and his staff handle how they prepare me for what the next steps are after a visit. They don't leave even one stone unturned. Thank you for all you do. Dr. Hurlbut did reconstructive surgery to fix my wrist when other doctors just wanted to fuse it together. It healed beautifully and I have full range of motion. Thank you!

Dr. Hurlbut performed my 12 year old daughters surgery. He was always very kind and made sure we understood her condition and the risks relating to her condition. This place is amazing. We took our son to Urgemt Care for getting checked our with a broken finger playing football. After X rays Urgent Care referred us to Prairie Orthopedic. The whole staff was fast, efficient and very through. Dr. Hurlburt has great beside manor and made my son feel very comfortable. 3 weeks after our son breaking his finger he fell at school and broke his wrist. Called them and Dr. Hurlburt got us in within the hour. They x rayed his wrist and set it in the office. They are very kind and knowledgeable. Wonderful clinic, staff and doctor. I was not very impressed with this doctor. I should have gotten paid instead of paying a bill to a doctor who used me as an anatomy model for the student following him. He was more worried about teaching the student than focusing on the patient. He more focused on my weight and posture towards the end of the visit and stated to me, "I know this because I used to be lazy and sloppy too". The surgery on my hand didn’t work and left me with a non functioning hand. His response was it didn’t work and he could operate again. Wrong answer. This is a follow on. I have been to two surgeons since this operation and both stated there is nothing that can be done to repair what was done to my hand. The original purpose of the surgery was due to arthritis forming in my hand, the result is the arthritis is much worse and more painful than it ever was and I have lost a lot of mobility and function in my hand. My thumb is a complete mess and almost non-usable. One of the surgeons couldn't even comprehend why this surgery was done on someone my age and stated they wouldn't even recommended it on anyone under 70. makes a person wonder. Dr Hurlbut was great but my appointment was at 2:30 am didn’t get till 4. Need surgery on broken bone but could not get it done till 15 days later. He did my knees an great job but not so much this time.

Worst bedside manner of a doctor that I have ever seen. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Was told that It was my fault that i was injured and in pain and to suffer the consequences. I asked what I could take for the pain and was told that he would not prescribe any narcotics for a minor injury like mine. I DID NOT ask for narcotics i was asking what else for the pain. Then asked what to look for if infected and was he treated me like a child and stated that I WOULD NOT get it wet and turned out and walked out. Horrible experience. After I was misdiagnosed by two different doctors, he found the problem and rush scheduled surgery for me. He took the time the explain everything in layman’s for me along the way. He was extremely friendly, respectful and efficient for the entirety of my experience with him. He is the benchmark of a person and doctor that everyone should strive to be.

Several years ago, my daughter had broken her forearm while playing on our back yard jungle gym. We took her to the emergency room to get her arm put in a cast. When the cast came off, we realized the arm was not set properly and she only had about 30% rotation ability. We then were referred to Children's Hospital in Omaha where her arm was re-broken and her bones were drilled our to receive rods to get her bones to heal correctly. The surgery went well and in time she regained nearly 100% use of her arm. We thought we were out of the woods as several years had passed and she had no problems. However, after about 6 or so years, my wife and I noticed our daughter became reluctant to "stress" her arm. Within a week of noticing, she was in so much pain, she just held her arm to her stomach with her other hand. That's when we found Dr. Hurlbut. He took x-rays of her arm, and saw that the rod was being pushed out of her bone and was plucking a nerve every time she moved. Seeing how much pain she was in, he immediately scheduled surgery for her, so she could get some reprieve. Dr. Hurlbut sat down with me and my wife and in great detail, explained the surgery and what he needed to do. He gave us as much time as we needed to ask questions and share concerns. (He was also very kind and caring with my wife when she cried). The surgery went exactly as he had explained and our daughter is back to her normal self. I wished we had found Dr. Hurlbut when the accident happened, but we do count ourselves VERY fortunate to have found him to put an end to our daughters pain.
