Dr. Larcom did a thorough job examining my knee and evaluating my MRI. He called me right away with an in-depth explanation of what was going on and what my options were. Did not push me towards surgery at all which some doctors will do. Really appreciated his expertise and professionalism.

Worst surgeon. Didn’t wire shattered pieces of bone together with a broken femur during trauma a surgery. Never answered why. Three months later unable to weight bear and had a non-union. I’ve been healthy, active, never smoked and should have healed if done correctly. After seeing several other specialist, all said I needed a redo. The rod and IM nails were removed and surgery redone using more supportive rod and nails, and an additional plate to place shafted pieces together and wired back together. Dr Larcom Examined my right knee after a car accident to make sure the apparatus was still OK from a knee replacement surgery. He was very kind and took the time to show me a Similar apparatus and how tough they are to give me peace of mind. If I could give a negative review I would. I came in for an appointment today and I got treated the worse I’ve ever been treated anywhere, I let them know that I was in dire need of using the bathroom several times, I got ignored and verbally abused in front of everyone, at the end I couldn’t hold it any more and proceeded to urinate in my pants, to that point they started calling me names and abused me some more to the point that I had to run out of there to stop the harassment, i would not recommend this place unless you like being treated like less than a human If I could give a negative review I would. Was referred through IHC and wish we would have done research of reviews of this office. (see healthgrades reviews and comments. ) Medicare and Medicaid patient charged hundreds of dollars for appts and total knee replacement surgery. Now denied follow up appt (because charges in collections?) from an unfortunate injury to that same knee that Dr. Larcom performed the surgery on. Give a C- to the doctor and a failing grade to the office. No message returned from the office when asked if the the doctor could see the patient for follow up care. When speaking with a nurse for the admitting facility about not hearing back from Dr. Larcom's office, they were sure he had retired. Maybe he deserves to retire (he did speak more passionately about his vacations than attending to the pain and discomfort and apprehension we felt)... and this office needs complete training on customer service and patient care before we could ever consider a recommendation for anyone. Incredibly disappointed. I had an atv accident with blunt trauma to my knee. After only an exray Dr Larcom diagnosed with a ruptured patella tendon and did the surgery to repair ( supposedly ). During recovery all of my follow up visits was told ( mostly by his PA as other comments suggest ) everything was good, even though I expressed concern about the excess swelling and klunkyness of the joint. After 6 weeks Larcom said it is completely healed and prescribed physical therapy. My first visit the therapist in the first 5 minutes ( not even kidding) without using medical equipment was certain I had more extensive damage to my knee than just a ruptured tendon and recommended I go back for an MRI. I did and Larcom was hesitant suggesting it was very unlikely, but at my request ordered the MRI. It showed a torn acl, mcl, meniscus, and reccuring tendon rupture. I went to another Orthopedic surgeon and was told for sure that Larcom had botched the repair. He couldn't even believe what method was used. All other poor comments I read were experienced by me as well. Poor communication, quick visits, barely answering questions, etc. Please save yourself the suffering. I am now going through the recovery for the second time due to Dr Larcoms incompetence. Just had my knee replaced and he and his staff have been so nice and helpful.He took his time to make sure mine and my husbands questions where answered before surgery.

Very knowledgeable and capable hip replacement. I saw that he had negative reviews and wanted to chip in with a fair assessment. He replaced my right hip, which had been replaced several times the past year due to complications. None were his doing. Very professional.

I had a total knee replacement. Dr. Larcom was awesome. He was kind and a great surgeon. His P.A.'s are also amazing. All of them took their time with me and explained everything. Highly recommended.

Dr. Peter larcom is the very best Orthapedic surgeon you’ll ever find . Over the past 25 years he has operated on my rotator cuff a few times Back in the day when he did shoulders . 10 years ago he replaced both of my husbands knees, and now just this week my husband 83 years old fell an broke his femur bone & the ambulance took him to the hospital and we were ecstatic when we found out that dr Peter larcom was the dr that was going to operate and fix his femur bone .. we were the happiest people to know that our all time favorite super doctor would be coming to our rescue. Incredibly rude, I had to stop him from basically running out of the room to answer basic questions, which he couldn’t even do.

Don't use this surgeon. He is one of the worst. After having fractured my hip and having hip replacement surgery from him I started having complications after the 8th week with psoas tendinitis and then piriformis syndrome because of things he did incorrectly in my surgery. When I went to talk with him about my problems he said you'll be feeling better in 3 more months and come back when you are having a major problem going on. It's been 18 weeks since my surgery and I am feeling worse now than I did after the surgery. I would have never had him as a surgeon but since I was in the ER he was the surgeon on call and I didn't have a choice.

Did a hip replacement surgery in 2017 and cut or damaged my sciatic nerve which has resulted in severe permanent nerve pain and drop foot. He also left my leg significantly longer. He washed his hands of me and referred me to a pain specialist.

If you want to get a mysterious bill for $1,000 a year after your surgery because they suddenly decided your insurance didn’t pay enough for your 20-minute procedure, he’s your man.

I broke my leg in December of 2017. After 6 surgeries and $30,000.00 out of pocket. I'm still not walking on it. Dr Larcom did 4 surgeries and then turned me over to another doctor. The only thing his staff is good at is threatening me with collections. Doctors are suppose to help people not take away your will to live.

He is an amazing doctor and would highly recommend him to any person I know. He takes pride in the work he does and gives excellent advise. I saw him after a car accident (minor) and he was so understanding. His bedside manner is awesome and will put you at complete ease.

I wrecked badly on my motorcycle back in 2005. Brigham and Ogden Ortho's looking at my x-ray said it was too badly crushed...'amputate they said'. Not Peter, he told Brigham hospital, " Send him my way, I ve saved one that bad before" I thank God for Peter G Larcom everytime I go BackPacking, or Bike Packing, and even on days I feel some discomfort from the wreck. 2 plates, 13 screws. Dr. Larcom could never be bothered to explain the procedure before surgery, he never came to see my husband after surgery, or to explain how the surgery went. When visiting his office for a follow up, you will spend more time with the billing dept than with Dr. Larcom. He only wants your money

I had a hip replacement Dec 2016 and my leg was too long after surgery! Dr Larcom showed me the error he had made on the x-rays. I had to go back into surgery 31/2 weeks later to have it corrected. I also had a wound infection which Dr Larcom repeatedly said was allergies. I ended up at the ER. I was very sick throughout this whole time! Although my joint problems feel better the surrounding tissue is giving me problems because he went into the same sight twice. During this time i had to take 3mnths off work without pay. There was "no" compensation for this or any costs during this time. Dr Larcom would not even give me a break of $56. My sister helped me out financially during this time. Had one hip replaced last year and going back for a 2nd this year. He was great and helped me alot. He is very busy but I am told that the more procedures a doc does, the better the outcome. His PA has always been great to work with as well - I am happy seeing either one of them.

For my knee replacements he did my first knee in 2009 and my other knee in 2016. October of 2017 he fixed my shatter femur.

Amazing doctor. Has completed complete knee replacement for my husband. Highly recommend him and his staff.

Dr. Larcom did re-construct on my hip on the day after Xmas in 2007. Between Sept. and Dec., I had "dislocated" it 5 times. My doctor in Rock Springs, Wyoming had recommended Dr. Larcom. Dr. Larcom was wonderful. My hip never dislocated again! He was attentive to my needs, spoke to my husband, etc. I've got an appointment this Monday to get the other one replaced. My dad broke his hip and was taken to the emergency room. Unfortunately it was Dr. Larcom who operated on him. We NEVER spoke to him after surgery. He sent his PA in a few times. My dad was in the hospital for 7 days as he developed an infection, still didn’t see Dr Larcom. About 3 months later my dad finally sees the great Dr. Larcom who then chuckles and says he will have to operate again. HE IS A JOKE!! DO NOT SEE THIS “Doctor”!!

Dr. Larcom has operated three different times on me. A knee replacement, a hip replacement, and the quads on my right leg. He has done an excellent job, I highly recommend him, I would trust my life to him.

After my hip replacement, I was a half inch taller on that side. I also developed bursitis and for a year, I felt as if the hip would dislocate. This doctor blamed my limb length difference on a surgery I had 20 years ago. He told me I was uneven because I was lying down during the X-ray. A year after the surgery, the hip dislocated and I went to the ER via ambulance. A different ortho told me the hip wasn't put in correctly. I had the other doc do the revision and now I'm fine. Never again.

I would not recommend family and friends to this office.

He is horrible!!! Never even bothered to meet my grandpa before OR after operating on him. Sent his PA every time. After surgery we had to go looking for him or his PA, because 3 hours later still didn't have an update as to how it went and what to expect. He put a plate in my grandpa's shoulder, and not even two weeks later a screw is coming loose, he has an infection and the swelling has not gone down. My 84 year old grandpa has to be operated on AGAIN, by another surgeon who can get it right. DO NOT trust Dr. Larcom to operate on you or your loved ones. My mother was in severe pain the entire time she was in Dr. Larcom's care. Because of his carelessness, she had to undergo three hip surgeries in the span of 2 1/2 months. In the 1st one, he shattered her femur when hammering in the implant & sent her home like that. After 2 more visits for the pain, she was back in surgery to have "wire" wrapped around her femur to hold it together. Then she was sent home with a dislocated hip! Because of the unrelenting pain, Mother lost her will to live.

I hadn't seen Dr. Larcom for over a year and he recognized me the moment he walked in to the patient room in his office. Although my procedure was relatively minor after breaking my ankle while mountain biking, I was well taken care of. Dr. Larcom didn't waste time and in a very friendly manor, explained what I needed to have done.

Dr. Larcom is a JOKE! He operated on my grandpa's shoulder, yet my grandpa never met him. He couldn't take 5 minutes before OR after surgery to come talk to him, he sent his PA. My family had to go looking for him or his PA 3 hours post op to get a report on how it went & what to expect. Two weeks later & a screw from the plate is already coming loose & it's swollen & infected. My grandpa has to have it operated on again from a different surgeon. DO NOT let him operate on your loved ones!!!
