Dr. Peter T. Marta

I met Dr Marta to discuss my groin hernia surgery and he was very personable and discussed the option of laparoscopic for a shorter recovery which was very important to me as I teach spin and exercise daily. Dr. Marta took his time, answered all questions and did not rush our initial visit at all. After scheduling the surgery at Valley Hospital, I could not have been happier with how it all went. All went super smoothly and exactly as Dr. Marta described. I didn't even have to take any pain meds at all and resumed walking / exercising soon after. For my follow up visit, Dr. Marta also took a good amount of time talking with me about the surgery and after - care follow-up questions I had. I would 100% recommend him as a reliable, patient doctor who accurately described this procedure which turned out fantastic and I am relieved I did it!

I highly recommend Dr. Marta. I had hernia surgery and Dr. Marta fully explained the procedure and what to expect after surgery. I can not be more happy, pleased with the outcome . Dr Marta is professional, knowledgeable, and kind. He understands that his patients and their families have questions and concerns. He gives the time needed to ease fears and answers all questions. My husband had two unrelated surgeries ( one planned, another was an emergency) performed by Dr. Marta. Both were without complications. We knew exactly what to expect and how to handle the post op.

I loved Dr. Marta, he explained everything to me in detail, had a great bedside manner. I would highly recommend him and his staff to anyone I speak to. I had gallbladder surgery 3 months ago and feel great! The scars are almost gone as well.

After five years of avoiding a surgery to repair my inguinal hernia, I saw Dr. Marta in March. I felt confidant he was the right man for the job. Very good touch and I am recovering steadily. I highly recommend Dr. Peter Marta.

After being admitted to the hospital via ER my husband ended up with a diagnosis of gallbladder disease which required surgery. Dr Marta of the Heritage Surgical Group was the surgeon who was assigned to the case. I cant say enough good things about Dr. Marta. In the midst of the pandemic when I couldn't go to the hospital and meet or speak with the doctors in person, Dr Marta took his time to speak with me several times on the phone and provided updates and insight. If you need surgery and have a choice, I highly recommend Dr Marta.

During this pandemic, under very difficult obvious circumstances, I required an emergency surgical procedure. Upon being admitted to the hospital, I was extremely fortunate to have Dr. Marta introduced to me. He was the most kind, caring physician, who calmed my nerves and assured me that I would be fine. Because during this time, no family members were allowed to be with me in the hospital, Dr. Marta became someone so supportive, in addition to being a very skilled physician. He made sure to phone my husband to keep him updated on my care and recovery, which helped us greatly. I can’t thank Dr. Marta enough for his skilled, thoughtful and caring approach to my treatment. I recommend him so highly.

Dr Marta has gotten my husband successfully through a medical crisis. He took a very careful approach and explained each step of the way. He’s an excellent physician.

His skills as a surgeon are excellent and my surgery went well but in my case he did not explain all of the pre-prep details leading up to the actual surgery.

I had a ventral hernia repair done by Dr. Peter Marta. After my first consultation with Dr. Marta, I felt very comfortable and content with him to do procedure. Staff is very friendly and call back right away with answers to any questions. I highly recommend Dr. Marta for ANY procedure because he is very kind, patient, knowledgeable & professional. -A.D.
