For the many years I have been a patient of Dr. Schott's, I've always been satisfied with the treatment that he and his staff have provided. This includes the business office personnel, who are very patient and helpful.

Recently moved to this area and just completed my first visit with Dr. Schott. A+ RATING. Very happy with all aspects of my experience. Everyone I came in contact with was super friendly, professional and thorough.

Horrible place- do not go here! I went here and they told me the work that was going to be performed was covered by my insurance. Later, I got a bill in the mail for over $500. They then blamed me for not double checking my own insurance, even thought this is what they do everyday. The dentist also refused to have a conversation with me- horrible customer service!

Does not accommodate Client insurance needs. Does not listen carefully or seriously to Client concerns. Charged too much on a procedure. Did not explain when asked. Strongly recommend you search for another dental service.

Got my Invisalign through Dr. Schott. It required about two years of appointments and can’t say enough about how good my experience was. Dr. Schott, Jess and the rest of the staff always made me feel welcome, very personable and genuine care for my Invisalign procedure. They were very safe/cautious abiding by RI COVID guidance for their clients and staff members. Would highly recommend anyone interested in trying or planning Invisalign to use Dr. Schotts practice. Dr Schott and staff are great. Maybe its speaks to my lack of a social life but now a visit to the dentist is the highlight of my day. Plus its super important to take care of your teeth. I highly recommend.

Dr. Schott just today painlessly restored a tooth that had a root canal. He’s been my dentist since I moved to Newport 14 years ago and has taken very good care of my oral health. His staff is also wonderful. I feel like i’m Visiting old friends.

I was not disappointed by the precautions taken by Peter and his staff regarding Covid-19 protection. Professional, competent and caring! I always feel as if I am a part of "the family". Wonderful experience, as always. I have been going to Peter since Dr. Sayer retired many, many years ago and I have never regretted the move to him and his practice.

Re COVID19 I felt very safe. My appt. was for a cleaning. Cindy had on all kinds of PPE so that she couldn't possibly pass anything on to me and if I had anything to pass on, it couldn't possibly get to her. Robin and Yvonne were well protected. Calling from parking lot and staging at top of stairs worked well for me. So glad I got to see Yvonne on her retirement day and got to thank her and wish her well (she will have a grand time with her grandkids).

I just had a small window of time - not going to be in town for long, but Schott's office staff managed to find an available appointment for me. Robin always greets me by name when I arrive - which is appreciated. Dr. Schott was able to quickly assess and take care of my tooth problem and I was on my way - right after Yvonne insured that I had necessary prescriptions and documentation. Didn't expect to feel good after visiting the dentist on an emergency basis, but I did.

Cindy, my hygienist, always does fantastic work. She is careful, conversational, and always makes you feel comfortable while you are 'in the chair'! The front office staff are always friendly and cares for you. My family has been going to Dr Schott's Office for years!

Had a filling replaced and a cavity filled. It took Dr. Schott less than 40-minutes, and the procedure was painless. I know some people dread going to the dentist but everybody at Dr. Schott's office is always very friendly and personable which makes for a great experience, whether you are there to have your teeth cleaned or to have more serious work done.

From a total dental phobe ( had a horrible experience as a child ) Dr Schott and his entire staff are remarkable ! Dr Schott and his staff have not only eased but ERASED my fears of dental services. - I can actually say that I am at ease and comfortable in making appointments on my own without increased stress. Despite my daughter requiring a filling, she said this was the best dental procedure she has had - easy, fast and painless. This was her first procedure since transitioning (due to relocation) from a pediatric dentist so I was a bit nervous. Fantastic team all around. Everyone is not only competent, but kind too.

The dentist always terrified me and gives me a bit of anxiety. Dr Scott is wonderful as scary as it is all that metal going into your mouth he is so quick and efficient it's so relaxing knowing you are in good hands. From cavities, to organizing wisdom teeth extraction, to the invisalign, and today more cavities (I love candy), he has completely transformed my smile to where I can not stop smiling. I moved a year ago and still make the hour commute because I am never changing dentist. Dr Schott is just that amazing.

When suddenly a tooth breaks - its a bit daunting about what to do next. Thankfully Dr. Schott and his team always do whatever they can to fit you in on a moment's notice. I have been going to Dr. Schott since about 2001. The women who run the office are the nicest women ever and always on top of things. Patti the hygienist does a consistently excellent job, is a true professional, and she really cares about you (and your teeth!) Dr. Schott has a great sense of humor and he's a true professional. State-of-the-art equipment, clean, new office, organized, friendly office staff ... who knew getting your teeth deep scaled could be so much fun and so hassle free!

Today's appointment was the half-yearly cleaning. The hygienist was her usual friendly self, explaining every step along the way. She sought to keep me comfortable and free from the "yuck" factor that sometimes could happen. When she discovered a particular area that will be attended to by Dr. Schott, she explained the different approaches that may be taken. The office managers are always so very pleasant and consistently attend to every concern or question asked of them. They all know their patients very well!

They were very polite and nice when I went a few years ago, and he did good enough work, but he drilled an extra cavity (a tiny one) while I was there without first obtaining permission, and then charged me for it. I didn't have the extra money and planned on paying for it when I could because at least a cavity was out of the way, but I had other bills that I had actually agreed to pay that I needed to take care of first. I said so, but they still mailed me bills repeatedly insisting that I pay up. I then wrote a letter saying that I promised I would not forget to pay, but that I did not appreciate the repeated stressful bills considering that I never gave permission for the extra dental work and would not have because I knew I could not afford it, and that I would not pay it if the bills continued to show up. They kept sending me bills and never so much as called or wrote back about my letter. They never showed any concern for having done work I could not afford without my permission. Now it's been sent to collections and I'm still not going to pay it because I object to being treated that way. You cannot go and fill an extra cavity just because you feel like it and then charge someone who already had to scrounge together the money to deal with the larger cavity. It's completely worth the hit to my credit to see that this person does not get a dime of my money for providing a service I never asked for and then hounding me about paying for it. If I'd had my life more together at the time, I would have figured out how to contest the bill then, but I was a little busy scrambling to keep up with things and I never assumed someone would be so very rude in such a professional setting after they were the ones who overstepped. I'm certainly never going back and would not recommend him to anyone who isn't made of money. Our family has been coming to Dr Schott for 20+ years. We appreciate the appointment reminders, the friendly staff, friendly demeanor, thoughtfulness, willingness to answer questions/explain options, use of new tech that reduces discomfort and speeds the visit.

Dr Schott does excellent and professional dental work. I switched to him from another dentist I had been seeing for 25+ yrs!! His office staff and dental assistant couldn't be nicer.... Courteous and oh so friendly!! I will continue to travel out of my way (a half an hour further) for this exceptional team, well worth it!!

If you are going to go to a dentist anyway, you may as well go to an office filled with people who are invariably in good spirits and who manage to find some reason to make you laugh.
