Dr. Peter Stoops

Dr. Stoops helped me get my physical and titers for my nursing program even though it was a lot of different things. I appreciate the help and patience!

* response to owners comment* If no payment was received from blue cross blue shield that's and issue you should take up with the insurance company (that we spoke with while verifying my copay that is still zero and you never brought that up as an issue) AND also a problem that was also never mentioned during any of the visits. ALSO I have not received any bill for your office and I have never claimed to ever be in financial hardship. So if it is true you have not received payment do not lay blame of your offices inability to deal with insurance providers or inadequacies of your billing department at my feet... Please to anyone who reads this take this in account before using this doctor for your care. *original Review* I have gone here twice for Urgent care and was happy and Dr. Stroop had good reviews so I decided to try him for my primary care unfortunately that is where the good experiences stop….. First time I set up an appointment it was a month and a half or so out asked them if they would call me with a reminder and the said they would…. That never happened Tried a second time and filled out all the paperwork and the assistants told me I have $100 copay. I have had my insurance for 10 years and this has never been the case I do not have a copay. She got the office manager (Dr. Stroop’s wife) she said because my deductible had not been met I need to pay $100 dollars before my visit. After waiting around as she called my insurance to verify my copay (that was 0) she told me I still needed to pay $100 and it was their policy, and would cancel my appointment so I decided to find another doctor……. Waisted over an hour here and took time off work. I do not recommend this place something fishy is going on. Maybe they are hurting for money? Dr Stoops and his staff are very friendly and they take the time to listen to you. I recommend this office

Dr. Stoops has been our whole family's doctor for years. He's amazing! I wouldn't want to go to anyone else. The entire staff is fabulous.

We've been patients of Dr. Stoops for several years at the Phelan location. When he left the Phelan office we were so disappointed. I had been to 4 different Doctors before Dr. Stoops. I had pain in my front right side and lower back. All 4 of the other Doctors gave me antibiotics. Double doses etc. I told him that he had me lie back on examine bench pushed a couple spots on my stomach and told me I had to go to emergency CT. Nobody else could figure it out. I have a swollen pacreas (dont know if I spelled that right) and gallstones. He has referred me to another specialist. I thank God that he sent me to him! He is a very smart Doctor. I have worked with Dr. Stoops for many years while he was with Heritage. I was so sad when he left. But since he opened his own practice, I am so happy and proud to be working with him again. He is a wonderful doctor, whom I trust 100% with my family members being his patient. He treats every single one of his patients with the utmost respect and he listens to their needs. Had read good reviews on Dr. Peter Stoops so I set a 2 pm appointment for today. True enough Dr. Stoops is an amazing doctor, no wonder he got a near perfect if not perfect reviews from his patients. He is accommodating , very professional and addressed all my concerns. One satisfied patient here and will be making him my Primary Care Doctor. A few days ago I was seen by Dr. Stoops as my family Dr could not see me. I had a cough for 3 weeks and took different over the counter meds which didn't help. Well, I am in love with this Dr. He gave me 3 Rxs and here I am 3 days later feeling so much better and "no cough". He is a very caring Dr. Thank you Dr for seeing me. You are the BEST!!
