Philip F Stahel

Dr. Stahel, or Phil as he insists we call him, performed a very sensitive surgery on my 13-year-old son. My son broke his femur skiing off a cliff and then shortly after broke the plate installed to support the bone. Dr. Stahel was recommended to fix this mess and the experience was phenomenal from the first phone call. Phil was personable, empathetic, acted with urgency, and after listening and reflection, performed a procedure expertly that brought my son back to health quickly. Thanks Phil!

I broke my hip in a crash during a bike race. Dr Stahel put screws in my hip that ended within one millimeter of the end of the ball of my femur and told me to weight bear as tolerated. Due to the screws being too long and having me put weight on my leg the screws pushed through into my hip joint. I consulted with six other surgeons and they all agreed that the screws should not have been within three millimeters of the end of the ball of the femur and I should have been non weight bearing.
