Dr. Preston Adam Waldrop

As always, Dr. Waldrop was personable, knowledgeable on the issue at hand and, after educating me on my options in layman’s terms, discussed the pros and cons of each as though I am a sentient being! Sometimes there is a wait, but this is a provider who spends time listening to and then helping his patients (which to me is well worth it). Bring a good book or your tablet with a downloaded movie & your earbuds & please don’t get ugly with the messenger e.g. the office support staff. I recommend Dr. Waldrop (& the staff) to any and all friends & family who have need of an orthopod.

Dr. Waldrop and his team gave me my mobile life back ...free of pain. He is a fantastic surgeon!

Front office staff and nurses have always been polite and professional. Dr. Waldrop is very knowledgeable and has a great "bedside manner". As long as I have the option, he will be my choice for anything orthopedic related.

On time! Dr Waldrop explained things in simple terms to help me make an educated decision. He took his time with the examination. Friendly, helpful staff. Definitely a great office in all aspects.

I have been a patient at this office for about 9 years and it is one of the best doctor's offices I have been to. I have never had a bad experience and the staff has always been so great to me every time I have come in. What a pleasure to write a review about my visit with Dr. Waldrop. He is a very special physician. He takes time to answer all your questions and explain in laman's terms about your medical problems. My wife as well as a good friend have had knee replacements done by Dr. Waldron. To say they are satisfied with the results of their surgery would be an understatement. I had a good visit with Dr Waldrop..I had hurting knees .He was very attentive and listened to my problems.He explained the x-rays and we decided on a plan. He had done my husbands knee and hip and he was pleased with his bedside manner and outcome.

Nothing but praise for Dr Waldrop and his associates/staff. I've had 3 surgical events with him (1 knee, 2 hips) (over three years) and appreciate the fact that he discusses, pays attention, answers questions ... the best. Also very thoughtful about medications (no excessive Rx).

Dr Waldrop is a Master at his Craft. My recent right total hip replacement was a great operation.I have had no pain post operatively. I have had the expected muscle ache in the incision area which is easily relieved with tylenol. I have been up walking since the night of surgery without any problems. Virginia orthopedic LewisGale is a class operation. No pun intended. The administrative staff is always courteous and helpful and I cannot say enough about the doctors there, especially Dr. Preston Waldrop. Dr. Waldrop has replaced a partial right knee and both of my hips. All three operations were a total success with very little pain after the surgery. After the recommended therapy I feel like the implanted parts were born in me. Dr. Waldrop is a great surgeon and a tremendous individual and I am very blessed to have his services. I went to Dr. Waldrop because he has done surgery on my husband twice. Both times were very successful. He spent a lot of time answering my questions and explaining my knee problems. He seems to truly care! He explains things so that i can understand them and he's realistic about expectations which i appreciate. He also wasn't pushy about his recommendations. He did a knee replacement for me and I have been extremely happy with the results

Dr. Waldrop repaired both my right and left rotator cuff injuries within the last 3 years, the latest being in January 2019. His knowledge, expertise and bedside manner are stellar. I am on this site to schedule a much needed knee replacement surgery that I have put off due to my shoulder surgeries. I have the highest confidence that I am placing myself in the most competent hands for yet another successful surgery.

I give Dr. Waldrop five stars in every point of review. He has performed right total knee replacement and left partial knee replacement surgeries for me. I have recommended him to all my friends and family for he takes time to explain procedures, expected outcomes and pre-operative and post-operative care expectations. My new knees are pain free and function remarkably well. Dr. Waldrop is totally a five star physician!!

Dr. Waldrop would rather talk than listen to his patient's questions. He talks very fast and very loud. Taking notes is almost impossible. As he backed towards the door I had several questions and he said he was too rushed to answer them. Dr. W's use of my appointment time was wasted by him and then he was unwilling to accommodate my questions for claification.

Dr. Waldron has done 2 rotator cuff surgeries on me on each shoulder. He is the Best! Great surgeon, and bedside manner. Highly recommend him.

Dr. Waldrop has provided assistance and medical explanation for two knee replacements. He is quick to get into the room, easy to talk with, explains the condition and the solution in terms I could understand and remember. I continue to recommend him to anyone I know having knee issues. I could ask for no one I'd rather have for orthopedic issues than him.

Had knee surgery 3 years ago and am getting ready for another go with the other knee. I really like this doctor.

Dr Waldrop is very compassionate for the patient who is suffering from orthopedic problems. He is a great surgeon who has done knee replacement surgery and in January 2016. He did a total hip replacement. He has a great bedside manner and is very understandable of ones sufferings and does everything to correct ones problem areas to relieve pain and help one to get back to normal health. I would highly recommend him to my family, and friends. He is an excellent doctor in my opinion.

He is a very good surgeon. He has done two surgeries on me and I will go to him again if I need to and I will also recommend him to anyone.
