Qian Ru Cheng

If I could leave zero stars I would in a heartbeat. IF you don't love your child then go see this "doctor" otherwise stay away! Unfortunately she was the OD assigned to us at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. The appointments are hard to come by and we had no choice other than to see her. because the appointment took a few months we took our son to a UCLA pediatrics ophthalmologist meanwhile. She was graceful, had a room full of toys, gimmicks and gadgets to get the baby engaged. She had pens that spun and had lights that grabbed our babies attention. We had his eyes checked there twice and none of it felt like torture. When our appointment with Dr Qian Ru Cheng came up we went ahead with it and thought we would get our third opinion. It was hell to say the least. She had Finding Nemo on a tiny little tv far away and thought a 1 year old would find that interesting! Our baby cried so much. Then she asked us to play a song or something on our phones. They did not have network or wifi in the building so she pulled hers out. Our son was not having it and when we asked what now, she said mom hold his feet and dad hold his hands and she FORCED her light and procedure on him. He cried and screamed and was out of breath. I don't even know how she was able to assign glasses while the child has so much tear coming out of his eyes and is squeezing his eyes shut so badly. I was so angry that I had to stop her. How do you not have a few simple things that you can get from the dollar store? This was at the CHILDREN HOSPITAL! how is she fit to work with children that young? I was and am so angry, for weeks we couldn't hold him down to change him or anything and now he is finally better. Her prescription was way off and was nothing even remotely close to what the other two had given. This "Doctor" might have skills but does not know what to do with young children.
