Dr. Ranjan Sharma

I had an appt scheduled for 9:45am. There was no one in the waiting but myself and my boyfriend. I sat in the waiting room an hour before I was ever called back. My experience with Dr. Ranjan Sharma was horrible! He is extremely rude and unprofessional. Upon entering the room, he seemed unsure of which patient he was seeing and repeated my name with uncertainty. He then proceeded to repeatedly question my boyfriend and ask for his name as if that information was important to him completing my allergy testing. Because my boyfriend refused to tell him his name and told him to focus on me because I was his patient, Dr. Ranjan Sharma threw a hissy fit and stated “I’m going to ask you to leave because I’m not dealing with your attitude” and abruptly exited the room. He is highly unprofessional!!!! The only person in that room, he should’ve been focused on was me since I was the patient. I wasted over an hour of my time waiting to be seen and then had to endure disrespect. If I had read the reviews prior to this appt I would’ve requested that my PCP refer me somewhere else.

The staff is rude and inconsiderate. Dr. Doesn't know what they are doing my child is worse then when i brought her in the office. DO NOT GO HERE

I recommended Dr. Sharma to a family member who needed allergy tests, as he has been treating my son for years. While I have noticed his tendency toward a somewhat condescending and abrupt manner, we have never challenged him or had reason to ask many questions. When my family member visited, however, the first topic Dr. Sharma covered was to ask why they had not received the Covid vaccine. When the patient stated they wanted to do more research since it is approved for emergency use only and they had some concerns about several studies they had read, he then preceded to lecture / belittle this person, using emotional manipulation and condescending statements. In fact, his logical premise seemed to be that all of his friends were doctors and they all believe the vaccine is safe, therefore the patient should get the vaccine. The patient was so taken aback, they left the visit without beginning the tests. I will note that Dr. Sharma did not attempt to apologize or encourage the patient to stay and undergo testing; in fact, he left the room, leaving the door wide open to the hallway. While I can appreciate that Dr. Sharma has a personal and perhaps even a medical opinion about the Covid vaccine, it seems reasonable that he would FIRST get to know and build a rapport with a patient, conduct the allergy testing (allergic reactions have been recorded for the Covid vaccine), and then offer his recommendation upon knowing how severe the person's allergies are or are not. After providing his recommendation, he should then respect his patient's autonomy and health choices. After all, the reason this person visited the practice and paid a co-pay was to receive allergy treatment, not a moralistic vaccine lecture. I will not return to the practice or recommend Dr. Sharma again, as his behavior was unprofessional and not at all compassionate. Went to seek treatment for a sinus infection over 4 weeks ago. Was given a prescription for Levaquin which, while eliminating the infection, caused achilles tendonitis. I am still recovering from it and have been told it can take up to 6 to 8 weeks for healing to be complete.

Does not work well with kids, need to work on being empathetic, not tactful, often judgemental and jump to unhealthy conclusions without asking thoughtful or thorough questions. Mannerisms can be perceived as being inconsiderate and abrupt at times making one in for a sick visit leaving worse than when they came.

The telephone staff is quite rude. I do not recommend this doctor for a child either. He did not understand how to talk to a child and was quite abrupt and short, giving very little explanation for questions asked. My child now requires an Epi-pen, and the telephone staff rudely said I would need to wait a month for his signature on a school medication form, as if this were to be expected and not of concern to me. Dr. Sharma is great to work with however the front desk staff at the immunotherapy clinic have very poor attitudes. They are rude and have not been pleasant any time we've gone and we go twice a week for shots. If they were to be replaced with much more customer friendly people my rating would be five stars.

Dr. Sharma is truly the best! I was allergic to almost everything--grass, trees, mold,mildew,cats, and many other things. With Dr. Sharma & allergy shots I have a normal life again! I recommend Dr. Sharma to everyone.

The practice tries to milk you by making you come back more often than needed, put me on steroids that apparently I don't even need and sent me a letter telling me they no longer want to treat me because I cancelled my appointment in compliance with their policy.
