The wait alone was an hour, and then I met with the doctor for just under 2 minutes only so he'd talk to my mom as she was a child, don't mind me we are talking a about an elderly person! That understands and is not Deaf. I'm the one who takes my mom to her appointments and I decided to take my son with me this time (4 year old) which valdivia didn't care as he kept raising his voice at us and to the point where he even cursed with out thinking about my son! Very rude and needs to be more professional! Never am I taking my mother back see Valdivia! !

I had an appointment this afternoon with Dr. Valdivia. As a new resident to this area, I was looking for a new general practitioner to continue long-term business. I also suffer from tinnitus and need a referral to an audiologist. My appointment time was 2:30 and I was asked to come 15 minutes early because I am a new patient. I came and signed in at 2:05 and filled out my paperwork. I was called to the back at 2:20 and placed in a waiting room there. I sat there for 40 minutes. During this time I could here Dr. Valdivia on the phone loudly arguing with someone about checks. I have no idea what the issue was but he was very upset with someone over some checks. After 40 minutes in the waiting room he opened his door and a female entered. He began explaining the check issue to her. I was in the waiting room next to his office which has his name on the door. After being there for an hour and waiting in the wafting room for 40 minutes, listening to him handle his personal business, I left. When I walked out, I stood at the reception window and the girl said "Larry?" No ma'am...I'm the guy that's been in your wafting room for 40 minutes listening to your doctor yell at someone about checks. I told her to keep my $50 co-pay and shred my personal information. This is hands down the worst experience I've had at a doctor's office. Don't do business with this guy. His check issue is concerning and his inability to put his patients before his own personal affairs is unethical and unprofessional. I had an appointment this afternoon with Dr. Valdivia. I was a bit intimidated by these reviews but something told me Dr. Valdivia would not treat me like most doctors do nowadays. People are used to being treated like cattle and having medication thrown at them and the fact that Dr. Valdivia dosent do that makes some people uncomfortable. He asked me what my goals were and actually set me up with a plan. This was refreshing as its something no doctor has offered me since I can remember. If you really want to get better and not slap a bandaid on your health I would recommend Dr. Valdivia. No, you may not always like what he has to say, but he will be honest and careful about your health and thats what is important to me.

I only saw him twice. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. He told me if I didn't make significant changes I'd be in a w/c in 10 years due to my arthritic knees. No offer to help me. Just turned and walked out after taking my prescription meds (hormones) away from me. The second time I asked for my meds back which he took from me. He said he had destroyed them and would not order them for me, even though they were necessary post-hysterectomy.

Outstanding physician

Dr. Raymond R. Valdivia is blunt and honest. He was able to find the root of my sons problem and gave him good advice. My daughter has also been a patient of Dr. Raymond for a couple of years now, he’s helped her as well!

If there was a way to give Dr. Raymond and his staff more stars I would. Him and his team went above and beyond expectation for my cousin. Before arriving to Dr Raymond's office. We went to several different urgent cares that where only doing Co-vid testing and couldn't get us in. We were extremely glad that we were able to walk-in the same day without waiting for a long period of time. We are defiantly going to have Dr Raymond as our Primary Doctor. I became ill in 2019, after almost one year of being miss diagnosed as well as treated with such a lackluster response by other professionals I was steered to Dr. Valdivia. Everything changed in that one visit, he was thorough, he was knowledgeable, he is a compassionate healer. I am now in a stable condition living within the diagnosis. I highly recommend Dr. V and his team they as well are wonderful.

Dr. Valdivia's been treating our family since the mid 90's. He's professional and especially honest and his expectations likewise, are to motivate and encourage a healthy lifestyle and follow through. He's reasonable and appreciates feedback, so he can treat you at his best or offer a specialized-care referral when necessary. His practice is always very busy, yet he and his staff are loyal and will take the best care possible, so you can get back to feeling better.

The worst, I went in at least 3 times to leave Urine samples and they never tested it or anything, what kind of facility does that!!! Dr.Valdivia is Rude, never lets you talk by talking over you and interrupting!

Tho first thing Dr. Valdivia did after introducing himself was ask “Why do you think you need a depression medication?” Every answer I gave him about my history of depression seemed to make him smirk, even after saying I have considered suicide in the past, even after trying to get off of my medications as an adult. Btw, I was there as a new patient for a physical and don’t need a re-up on meds for another few months. Apparently his answer to depression is “if you feel depressed, get up and do the dishes.” If you have mental health struggles (even if very stable) I strongly recommend going to anyone else unless you want to be interrupted, smirked-at, and treated like a four-year-old. After a couple minutes discussion I understood that his question was implying that I was simply choosing to take medicine instead of making "healthier" choices in my life and eliminating the need for my prescription. Really good doctor he acually listens

When I first walked into his small not so fancy office I was concerned because it did not look like the big modern hospital I used to go to in California , I sat in the room waiting to see him apprehensively and was just about to look up his reviews when he walked in and my fears were immediately put to rest. He is very knowledgeable and genuine and gives you the feel of how docters used to be in the good old days when docters really cared. He is very blunt but his advice is caring and real. We had an honest conversation about my health and it wasn't rushed and generic like at the fancy hospital, although he does talk and move very fast..lol. I could also appreciate that he seems to be in very good health and lives by his own advice. I moved to Arizona in January of 2016 after a horrible motorcycle accident in South Carolina. Dr. Raymond was the first doctor I saw and made him my PCP he has always gone out of his way to help me in any way possible. I have needed referrals to other specialist I have also had four other surgeries since I've gotten here dr. Raymond has always followed through with each one and has helped me in many ways even just listening to my own concerns. What a great doctor. Wish there were more stars lol

My first impression of Dr. Raymond Valdiva was not a very strong one until I better understood the way he works. Now the first words that comes to mind is "Genuine" in a no nonsense kind of way. Although he is fast talking and quick moving, he is also very attentive and concerned about his patients and expresses it in such a straight foreword kind of way. Every time I go the Desert West Family Health Center my experience with the whole staff is pleasant and I am always at ease when asking questions because I don't leave with out an answer and the Dr. always follows up on what he says he will do. If you are looking for a fancy three story building and a luxury office and a Dr. that leaves you with questions that are never clearly answered with ongoing medical issues, than that big beautiful building is the one for you. If you want a Dr. who will just tell you the simple truth about your health concerns and what to do to remedy your situation, than you need to see Dr. Valdiva. He has a small not so fancy medical clinic but he will pull no punches when it comes to your health and well being.
