Mrs. Renda K Knapp

At first all I had were good things to say about Dr. Knapp but unfortunately 2 weeks after a hysterectomy and oophorectomy she has tried to pawn me off on a physiatrist. I have never suffered from depression or anxiety. I had all my hormones taken out of me and I became scared of the instant anxiety. I wish I was educated better on what to expect. She said I would heal from this surgery quickly and unfortunately that was not the case. I would not recommend letting her know if your sad or scared because then your labeled as depressed. This has been absolutely devastating for me, I expected better since she has been in the same position! This is hormonal changes not depression, unfortunately I feel she just doesn't want to help me since I am 2 weeks out since my surgery and I should be great. Not everyone is the same and I personally know women that have had similar things happen after this kind of surgery, their doctors were there for them.

I was very reserved, in pain, and embarrassed, but Dr. Knapp really made me feel really safe and comfortable. When I was afraid she was there. After surgery, she was there. My surgery went excellent and she and her nurses have been so helpful during my recovery. South Peninsula Hospital is also excellent and I am so happy I picked to go to Dr. Knapp.
