Receptionist is very rude. They saw my husband (new patient as well) the previous day with absolutely no issues at all, but when I went the following day she was giving me a very difficult time to be seen by the doctor. Maybe if I was a male I would have been treated differently. Based off of other reviews it seems like I’m not the only one that has had to deal with this rude receptionist. Called to set up an appointment and the receptionist was very rude. I will not be doing business with them

My experience was awful, the admin in front is very rude awful manners and no human compassion whatsoever. This dr was assigned to me and the first time I went because I had a lot of pain in my ankle, it was really bad pain, and this lady told me very rude that they couldn’t see me, and I begged her and she told me that in 10 days they could see me cause my files were not in the office, i try to explain her my urgency but she didn’t care. We are humans, and not animals, and besides a lot of us are paying customers, this group makes you feel they are doing you a favor. Very bad experience! Don’t go there! My previous doctor was watching my thyroid because of up and down readings. When he moved to well med and I was not 65 yet I had to go to Dr Vela. Now as I recall Dr. Vela didn't check my thyroid. Later I had a CT scan ordered by my cardiologist on my neck arteries they spotted a mass on left side of my thyroid Later to be found cancerous and was removed.. While going to Dr Vela had several physicals and can't recall my thyroid ever being checked. Office staff very insufficient. Had hard time getting prescriptions and refills. Also the final straw for me finding another doctor was when I had a appointment during covid and he had 17 people in his lobby waiting to see him . Dr. Rangel is an excellent doctor, I have been with them for many years and he has always been patient and listened to me, however the ladies at the reception area always have a bad attitude with patients.

I had been ill for a few days and could barely walk. Front desk staff got me a wheelchair immediately. Mario Rangel and his assistants took great care of me. I have used Dr Vela as our PCM for three years now and have always been treated well. Yes, you will have to patient with wait time occasionally. Good medical service takes time.

Been on the phone for 18 minutes now and no one can help me. Supervisor decided to leave early, so I have no one else in charge to speak to. Not a reliable clinic and don't plan to be their patient.

Terrible experience. Mr Rangel was very open minded, proffesinal and listened to me but Dr.Vela made me feel unimportant, was completely ingorning everything i was trying to say. He was cutting me off while i was trying to mention what was going on and at the end he completely shut me down, he was raising his voice at me and didnt want to listen to a word i said and threw me the prescription receipt at the end of the conversation and just walked out without saying a word. Horrible front desk non approachable. We as Patients have issues leading us to come get cared for. So we are already struggling with the fact that we need medical attention but to come in and not be greeted with the up most respect is just not a pleasant time. Especially when a the greeter/front desk lady has not made eye contact and will not pick up her head to acknowledge the presence of a Patient, but has the back greeter address you clearly when standing in-front of front desk. - LVN Horrible front desk non approachable. First time here and Ms. Aguirre was very nice and professional . She put my mind at ease and explained everything thoroughly. I definitely will be coming back again.

I've been going to this clinic for years. Both Dr. Vela & Mr. Rangel are very nice & professional. The office staff and the nurses are extraordinary and actually go out of their way to help. Don't rely on the bad comments.

Excellent communication and follow through

Was there with a family member to see Dr Rene Vela. Dr Vela takes his time, explains and listens. His staff are very friendly. We didn’t have to wait to longer. I highly recommend Dr Vela.

Mom had an appointment at 3:15 pm for results of a physical exam. She was pushed to the end and was not seen till 4:45 by staff. The receptionist and staff were not friendly what so ever.

They should make their hours from 8 to 11 if there not going to take patients. WTF? Maybe it’s a good thing, I probably dodged a bullet.

Four months ago I had a UTI. I had alot of side effects of the antibiotics, it was making me very sick. I was dehydrated, very pale no color on my face. I had a big reaction on the antibiotics I was taking. I went to Dr. Vela and he was very disrespectful. I was shocked at his behavior. He raised his voice at me and he didn't believe my symptoms. I was very discouraged at his attitude. He didn't even explained to me why I had those symptoms.I didn't understand what was making me sick. Loss of appetite, nausea, anxiety and other symptoms. I am still having some nausea and some anxiety and some fatigue from The side effects. I did alot of research in the internet and found out myself about The problems some people have on The side effects of the antibiotics . .I ate alot of cultivated yogurt and am taking alot of probiotics and fermented food, bone broth, drinking alot of water. It has helped but I think it will take time before my gut flora is normal. The antibiotics kills the good and bad bacteria in the stomach and that causes alot of problems with the digestive system and the psychological effects that some people have with antibiotics. The doctors do not explain to patients the side effects. The PA's are very understandable and they explains and talks to the patients. Four months ago I had a UTI. The front desk staff isn’t very friendly and hardly smile. They seem frustrated upon patients signing in. The wait time is horrible...two hours or more WITH appointment....just to be seen two quick minutes in the exam room and ushered out quickly. The one time I dont mind going is when the PA is there. He seems more concerned and friendlier than everyone else. Plus he takes his time to actually listen to patients and is very nice.

The PA Rangel is just AWESOME! Girls in the front are rude and not very friendly. Staff in the back is ???? great !

My friend had recently an appointment with Dr. Vela. She was 6th on the list at 10 am, she was THE LAST t be taken in the office, just before 5 pm, when they close. Many walk-ins came and got to the doctor and she has been waiting for 6 hours to see him. Recommending is not likely, the waiting time is a disrespect to the patient and to their medical problem.

The receptionists and nurses are very courteous and helpful, giving me information requested and appointments. Dr. Vela is awesome. He takes his time to explain results of tests, recommends vaccinations to fit my needs, like pneumonia/flu, etc. I will continue to be his patient.
