I see a lot of doctors and Dr. Ahuja is the best doctor, not just the best eye doctor but the best doctor I have. He is kind, takes his time, really cares and is excellent at explaining complicated medical things. He literally saved my eyes and my health. My father now also sees him.

Dr. Ahuja is knowledgeable, nice, and kind. He takes his time with patients. I wish though he gave me a print out with my diagnosis as I did not fully understood what it was and what it meant for me in the long run. I also wish he referred me to another specialist sooner. I am now being treated at the university eye clinic and after each visit I can view my eye doctor's notes, a list of diagnosis, and recommended treatment.

Dr. Ahuja is the best doctor I have seen. He takes the time to explain complex problems in clear and easy to understand terms and has a great bedside manner. I felt that he truly cares about his patients. I will recommend my family members to see him.

Having worked with many ophthalmologists over the years due to my line of work, I can honestly say Dr. Ahuja is one of the best out there. He truly cares about his patients. His medical explanations were easy to understand and he addressed all my concerns. He is really a great doctor .

I have left reviews for Dr. Richard Ahuja elsewhere on the Internet and for the Lake Shore Retina listing on Google. I saw that he had his own separate listing here under his own name and so I wanted to write yet another rave review for him (because he deserves all the rave reviews!). Simply put, Dr. Ahuja has got to be one of the best ophthalmologists in the Chicago area. He is extremely skilled and knowledgeable, has excellent "bedside manners," and he patiently listens to all your questions and answers them with clarity. His genuine concern and compassion for his patients really comes through and I cannot recommend his services enough. The BEST Ophthalmologist bar NONE. Pleasant demeanor, very patient, a great listener, he puts YOU FIRST. A very thorough physician. My first visit was for a “second opinion”; after this encounter I will come to him as my first choice with any concerns regarding my vision. This was a VERY pleasant learning experience, which I have not received from other Ophthalmologist. I will be referring family members to THIS excellent physician! He is also in my insurance network, & I’m from out of state.

I had an great visit with Dr. Ahuja. I trust his level of competence. He explained things so I could understand. It was clear to me that he cares a lot for his patients. The office was very nice. I will continue to get my care with him.

If it wasn't for Dr. Ahuja I wouldn't be able to see my family, friends and puppies. Dr Ahuja is a great doctor a great person. He is so patient with people and goes out of his way to help you, I would recommend Dr. Ahuja to all my family and friends and anyone that needs a eye doctor.

I have a lot of confidence In Dr. Ahuja. He has been taking care of my eye condition for the past 4 years. In one word, he is great. On my first visit, he examined my eyes very thoroughly and explained everything to our satisfaction. He has a wonderful bedside manner. His staff is also very polite and scheduling was straightforward. The office is very clean and modern, and I rarely wait more than 15 minutes to be seen.
