Dr George has ruined my chance for a normal life. Last time I saw him, after 2 surgeries, he put his head down and said "I messed up!" I live in pain every day and it gets harder to walk and be stable on my feet. My incision is still leaking, after 3 years and I now have to see a new neurosurgeon and facing more surgery!

I was surprised to see poor results being reported. I felt my late husband received inferior treatment also. He could stand and walk some until he was treated for spinal stenosis, it was a rapid decline from then until his death in 2019. I have wondered for a long time, if something happened during surgery

Dr Richard George is an amazing Neurosurgeon. He operated on my daughter 27 years ago. She is now grown and is about to be a doctor herself. She was born with Spina Bifida and a tethered spinal cord.

I was referred by 2 Dr's because of DR George's supposed competence, as a neurosurgeon. Boy was I wrong! He comes into the room after a week of testing and tells me my case is unusual, I ask Why? He proceeds to tell me, I've got nothing wrong with me. I know for a fact I've got 3 herniated Cervical disks C-456. I am in constant pain, from my neck to my finger tips, both sides. I cant even sign my name anymore. My hands shake, etc etc. I went back to my pain mgmt DR. I proceeded to tell him everything Dr George told me. Let's just say he was more than upset. I was referred out to another Neurosurgeon, who has received all my imagining, and will accept me as a patient. Funny thing, last week I received a letter from Grace Clinic, DR George. He is no longer going to practice medicine/surgeon, due to a neurologic disorder. KARMA!

Waited over 2 hours to see him after hearing he was the best in Lubbock he was in there 10 minutes to tell me he would refer me to someone else he couldn’t help me. I have been in severe pain for over 1 year with tingling and numbness in my neck and going up my head and face !!!!!! Horrible experience he gave me no answers. Spent over 1 hour to see PA week before just horrible all around

I went to see Dr. George after years of back pain and the last 10 months with so much pain I had to use a cane at some time and could not even sit long enough to go to Sunday School and church. After seeing Dr. George I had a cyst removed and disc clean out. I can walk without pain for the first time in I don't know when. Dr George and his staff are so caring and understanding. They re very thorough in explaining the procedure and the instructions for after surgery. I would highly recommend him for anyone needing surgery. Dr. George performed a minimally invasive spinal fusion and the procedure has eliminated all of my sciatic pain. He is a great surgeon and I would highly recommended him!

Really, needs a 0, but that is not an option. I went to see Dr. George and was told I was too fat for them to help me. I was informed that it didn’t matter the condition of my back/neck he would do no procedures even if it was an emergency situation. I have been able to resume an active life style after lumbar fusion under care of Dr. George. He researched and planned my surgery based on my needs. Giving me confidence to undertake such a risky procedure. My outcome has exceeding all expectations.

Not only is Dr. George an outstanding physician/surgeon, but he is also an outstanding person. Very caring of his patients' needs and concerns. He was openly willing to answer any and all questions. He also offered information that we didn't even know to ask since it was our first experience with back surgery. Since completing the surgery, I have been pain free for the first time in years.

I have so much less pain than I had before surgery. I have virtually no pain. I had a decompression and fusion surgery and 27 hours later I walked out of the hospital under my own power. My recovery is going very well. I'm extremely pleased with my outcome.

As an ag pilot I found myself with a decision to make due to my ruptured disc. Getting out of the plane was difficult, as this was going to be income lost for my family but turned out to be the best decision I have made. Dr. George and his staff not only eased all of my back pain but had me flying again in weeks after the surgery, I am now able to enjoy my job and the gorgeous scenery this area has. Dr. George has established a practice of excellence which includes his entire staff. Each person thoroughly explained procedures and expectations and put me at ease. I recently had an ACDH to correct a problem in my neck. Dr. George, Sixtus, Bertrand, the nurses and office staff were so pleasant and knowledgeable before and after surgery. I was pleased to find that I had increased strength and improved balance within 6 hours of surgery. There is no one better. I highly recommend Dr. George.

easy to understand and he explains everything very thoroughly. He is careful to answer all questions. He gave me literature which was very helpful. He is conservative and does what is best for me. Most of my pain is gone and I am starting therapy.

Dr. George did an amazing job repairing a very severe herniated disc in my neck. Before surgery my arm felt like I was constantly touching a low grade electrical socket. I couldn't sleep at all. Literally the instant I woke up from surgery the pain was gone. I just ran a half marathon. before surgery, I couldn't have ran 10 yards without massive pain. I couldn't be happier. I was referred to Dr. George with a ruptured disc with severe pain and numbness. At my initial visit, it was determined that I needed surgery. I was immediately scheduled within a few days. Dr. George performed the surgery and I instantly noticed relief and the numbness was gone. I appreciated the professionalism and skill from him and his office. When I came to Dr George my pain level was a 12. I had a spinal fusion of L4-5 L5-S1. The day after surgery my pain level was a 8. By the end of the second week post surgery my pain level was a 4-5. Dr George and his staff are always very professional, compassionate and timely at all times. I would highly recommend Dr George to anyone having back issues. He is truly amazing. I am now pain free. I can honestly say I trust Dr George completely.

Dr George was so very kind and caring in his treatment for me......he took the time to explain everything to me so that I understood all of my procedures/surgical treatments..... he took the time I needed to make me feel welcome and comfortable when I was not feeling good at all and I really appreciate him.

I have had back problems for over ten years and the doctor I had in San Angelo just kept stringing me along. Finally I heard of Dr, George in Lubbock, TX. I was referred to Dr. George because of severe and chronic lower back pain. He performed a new lateral entry procedure. I spent one night in the hospital and was up walking the next day, and also went home that same day. I'm now 6 weeks out and I'm so glad to be feeling better than I have for years. I'm happy that I was able to be home and walking (carefully) so soon. Dr. George and his staff at the clinic are the best!!

January 4, Dr. George did surgery on my back. Prior to surgery, I had severe pain shooting down my legs, tingling and numbness in my feet and hands. It hurt to walk down hills and stairs. Last summer our family went on vacation and the last day I was in a wheelchair. Thank you Dr. George for my surgery. My experience with you, your staff, and all those involved at Grace Hospital was amazing

Dr. George did my fusion of the L 4 and L 5 it is the best thing I have ever done health wise. He is so kind and he will tell you exactly what is going to happen every step of the way. He entire staff is willing to help in any manner possible.

Dr. George has performed 2 surgeries on my back in the last 10 years. Prior to that, he recommended a special type of PT that kept me out of the OR for about 12 years. He is kind, honest and gives a straightforward diagnosis and then explains it using MRI's, etc. Understanding exactly what the problem is and how he's going to correct it is essential to me. And, he knows I need to know what's going on 'back' there! Dr. George is the BEST! I'd never trust my spine to anyone else.

I would readily recommend Dr. George to my family and friends. He is very professional but yet makes you feel at home. He explains procedures if you are in need and also tries to use as non-invasive procedures as possible. He also tries to use other methods to treat your problem such as different therapies before he will do surgery. His staff is very knowledgeable and seem to be genuinely concerned about you.

We live in Alamogorodo,N.M and traveled to Lubbock because Dr.George and his staff was excellent. I had back surgery and have never felt better after surgery. He’s an excellent dr. The nurses at Grace hospital was great, too. I had suffered a very long time with back pain and was afraid of having my back opened up.But Dr. George was excellent. So glad I went to him.

Best experience with surgery ever! This man knows what he is doing and made me feel better instantly. Although I have a little residual pain after 6 weeks the debilitating, miserable pain is gone. I would recommend Dr. George to anyone who needs help. Old school but up to date practice. Love the guy!

Let's start out with the fact that I had back surgery. From there, everything was uphill. I went to my primary care physician complaining of leg pain. He told me it could be a, b, c or I might need back surgery. After several doctors I ended up under a knife at the hands of Dr. Richard George. I cannot adequately put into words how pleased I am with the results and the care given by Dr. George, his staff and the staff at Grace Medical All pain is gone and I am back where I was pre-leg pain.

Dr. George and has staff are exceptional. I had a 3 level cervical discectomy and fusion with an anterior entry. I had struggled with pain in my right shoulder, back and arm for 4 years. Dr. George explained all the risks and what to reasonably expect during recovery. The surgery went very well and I experienced very little pain. Now, 3 months removed from surgery I have no pain at all. He and his staff were readily available when needed. I feel very blessed. He is OUTSTANDING.

Dr. George is Awesome great personality and up front about what he is going to do! He basically restored my back back to what it was when I was younger! His staff is very kind and helpful in everything I had to do! I would highly recommend Dr. George to anyone that wants to live again!!!

Dr. George came highly recommended to me by my brother-in-law and my pain doctor, Dr. Hemmo Bosscher. I have been very happy with the treatment I've received and did not have to do the spinal fusion originally planned, instead opting for a less radical decompression procedure including discectomy and laminectomy. My surgery has relieved 99% of the sciatica that I have experienced since 2009. Dr. George and his staff have been professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate throughout the process.

Dr. George did a magnificent job on my back. I was in constant pain and he has relieved that pain and allowed me to get my life back. He was informed and it was easy to tell he was a knowledgeable man. But he also put that knowledge into words that were easy to understand. I knew what he was planning to do and he worked tirelessly on my surgery. I am in great debt to his skills and compassion for me. He is easy to talk to and I have been blessed by my experience with him.

Dr. George is an amazing, compassionate, experienced surgeon. I had 3 disks in my neck replaced and fused 6 months ago and I am doing very well. I tried the Laser surgery in Scottsdale, Arizona the year before and they really messed up my neck and my arm. I had 2 surgeries in 4 days on 2 difference levels. When I woke up from the second surgery, I could not raise my left arm past my waist for over 3 months and I still have some pain from that damage done to my nerve! It costs me $40,000.00

I was first introduced to Dr. George in 2013 by my Primary Care Physician when neck surgery was no longer an option. I came to in the recovery room and knew the surgery was a success---No Pain. Plus, I even gained some range of motion, and have remained pain free . I had to return to Dr. George in 2017 when sciatic nerve pain could no longer be controlled by medication. Dr. George operated on my lower back, fused two vertebrae, and sciatic nerve pain was history. Dr. George is wonderful!

Dr George did a wonderful job on my back surgery, I've had a very fast recovery with hardly any pain. I definitely recommend Dr George to my family and friends. His staff are very professional and friendly, they explain everything they want you to do in detail.
