Last year, I came in and Dr. Dean walked into the room saying, "we're not going to talk about the C word" - literally referring to covid. Honestly, doctors like that should lose their license. I get it's nice working in a cozy office, while my mom works as an RN seeing so much death from covid in her hospital, same with my aunt that works at a different hospital. As a doctor, you should be informed, like all professionals have to be, and prepare all your clients for this pandemic. My husband is a LPC, that would be like him telling his clients, "i don't really feel like talking about the depression, so we're not going to mention that." In my opinion, that is the biggest fail on Dr. Dean Jr's part. Second, I went in to talk about my migraines. He asked me other questions, which I have been struggling with my anxiety and depression; however, I did not come in seeking medication for that. If I'm asked questions, I'll answer. His response to my answers to his questions were, "I'm not going to prescribe you medication" and gave me their master degreed social workers card. As a patient, I felt like I was being accused of pill seeking, when I wasn't. He pushed me off without asking if I had a therapist or how I felt about going to one. Master degreed social workers are great, but they are not trained like a LPC for therapy. I understand why people feel unheard by him. Many doctors have a big head reputation and since he comes from a family of OB-GYNs, probably why he has that. I feel like he failed me and it sounds like he has failed others. Always great to see Dr. Dean. Goes through everything with me thoroughly and answers my questions.
Be ready to stare at his certificate on the wall while he tells you all about himself and his family and does not care or listen to anything about you or what you need. (Never met a doctor with an ego this big and ridiculous.) I had an issue with my medicine and was having bad side effects, I explained this to him and he said (and I quote), "if it isn't broken don't fix it." Not really sure what that was all about. Had to literally sneak away from him to get a new primary care and the nurses had to help me hide or sneak away from him in the hallway to avoid seeing him. It's funny when I mention my past experiences with this doctor and random people who happen to overhear my conversation chime in with their own nightmare stories. He's that popular--and not in the good way! I hope I never have a doctor like this again.
Worse Doctor I have ever been too, rushes in and out of the room. His assistant is nice but he is very unprofessional!
Do not use this Dr. Dean. He is rude and unprofessional and refuses to listen to his patient. His office staff does not follow through with ordering tests. They refuse to return phone calls. A family member saw Dr Dean multiple times in a month and he stated there was nothing wrong. He changed his ant acid medication. 6 weeks later my brother has just been diagnosed with cancer that is spread throughout his body. Please save your own life and do not allow him to be your Dr.
I am out!! What is your rush? Saw you four times the first was great the other three think you hated your job worse than I hate peas thanks for nothing!
I've been going to see Robert Dean for these past few years and haven't had any issues. So I decided to have my mom come see him too and we were in today.. and he saw my mom for 2 mins. We tried telling him where my mom aches and if we could change prescription.. and we got a no. We felt rushed and he was ready to send us out. Definitely felt like what was the point of paying 40 dollar copay for a 2 min check up? My mom felt disrespected and uncared for. Office staff were awesome and his assistant, Judy, was very nice, Dr Dean talks a big game but does not follow through. My son's first visit we were told to NEVER take him to an urgent care, that he was better and is use to a fast paced environment. Dr Dean told us he would work us into his schedule, one attempt was made a year ago or so and he just didnt have an opening. Today I called and was sent to a voicemail when I went into the office Judy told me that they were done with clinic and they dont accept walk-ins. I asked why we told he would work us in and, according to Judy, Dr Dean said he never told us that. He does not keep his word so what leads me to believe he is a reliable doctor? I enjoyed the office visit with Dr. Dean more than most of my previous doctors. Most never seem to worry about my big toe. I am a professional Treasure Hunter and my toe needed a professional opinion. I had minor surgery two weeks later-- I am back to work thanks to Dr. Dean's thoughtful care. I am on Medicare I would advise anyone wanting a pcp work with this doctor.

Dr. Dean has been my primary physician for 3+ years. He is always very professional, errs on the side of caution and is for trying alternative therapies before throwing unnecessary medication at an issue (a quality I am thankful for). He and his nurse have always been kind to me and my family and make us feel like more than just one of dozens of patients seen in a day. I would highly recommend Dr. Dean and his nurse to anyone looking for a primary care physician.
Dr. Dean does not listen, he just reads through your past chart and visits. Gets very angry if you question him.
Dr. Dean is the most eccentric person and he does not listen or pay attention to what you are telling him. Frankly, the worse doctor that I have ever used.
Very unprofessional. Makes me uncomfortable. More interested in talking about himself. Calling me knucklehead. Throwing meds at me Instead of listening ing to my concerns and figuring out why I have daily migraines. When I refused a pap smear at my annual checkup (since my obgyn does that for me), he marked me as difficult on my record and referred me multiple times to his in house behavioral therapist. Is more into telling you hes board certified than actually giving a crap about his patients. Always late with some kind of personal excuse (including his dog ate his shoe). Everytime I was in there he would look in my purse and comment on an item in it- like books. Calendar etc. I highly suggest you run away from seeing this dr! I know several others who have experienced the same exact appointments. Got very defensive and rude when I went above him to see a neurologist bc of my migraines. And he wouldnt refer me or even do bloodwork or testing. Despise this dr quack!
Will never go back, just moved into the area from out-of-state. Dr. Dean had all my medical records way before my visit. Never looked them over until sitting in front of me. He was rude, would not answer questions. Said I had things wrong with me that did not exist. Should not be in family practice. Found another doctor the moment I walked out of his office.

I just had by far the absolutely worst office visit with any doctor I’ve ever seen. Dr.Robert Dean is in such a rush that he was in the room for no longer then 5 minutes. He said he didn’t understand why I was there so he just came straight to me to “hear it straight from the horses mouth” So I try and begin to tell him what is going on and he couldn’t stop cutting me off as though he didn’t really care at all! I’m trying to explain to him that I’m having extreme pain and numbness in my feet and arms, along with a hot sensation on one foot, dizziness, nausea, heart palpitations.....but he just didn’t want to hear anything and chalked it up to he thinks it’s anxiety related and he will notify my psychiatrist. Are you kidding me! I’ve had anxiety as long as I can remember so I know this isn’t anxiety related! Oh and as he’s basically pushing me out of the door to get some blood work done that I requested to check for diabetes....I’m trying to also check with him and ask him if a previous
I’m a type 1 diabetic, saw dr dean for the first time in April. I had a list of things to ask. I planned on asking him to clean my ears, but he interrupted me not allowing me to finish. My ear canals are very narrow. And even though it looks ok, every two years I get really sick due to it so I needed them cleaned. Weeks after my appointment, I have an ear infection and sinus infection. The urgent care folks pulled an inch of wax out of my left ear. It was an half of an inch wide. If he had listen to me I would not have been sick for over a week and have less control of my diabetes. He just would not give me a chance to cover that or anything else on my list. When I said something, he said my ears were fine and when I began to explain my narrow ear canals and that I could not hear out of my left ear he cut me off. I had the same ear issue 2 and 4 years ago so I knew I needed them cleaned and I did not get a chance to ask.
This doctor assumes he knows what's wrong didn't listen to anything I said he just gives you what he thinks you need based on what he thinks is wrong and won't listen to your complaint or issues he just tell you to loss weight

Great doctor and chill guy. He really makes sure I’m healthy and goes through all my medical problems with me. I haven’t had any issues when I see Dr. Dean. The office flow is great, friendly staff, and I don’t ever have to wait long to see the nurse or Dr. Dean.
Will diagnose you without running test. Left a sly remark on my chart after sharing concerns and asking him some questions.
One of the worst pcp’s I’ve ever seen. He doesn’t listen to ANYTHING and is so busy trying to be funny that he misses anything you’ve said. He would ask a question and before I could even say anything he would start talking again. He ordered a ton of tests, all of which I had already completed! If he would have listened to even 5% of what I was trying to say he would have realized this. Astonishing that Saint Francis allows such poor care within their system!
Was assigned Dr Dean after my wonderful dr left the state. The first visit was fine. He seemed to care and listen. But each time I have seen him since it has gotten worse and worse. He has rushed me out the door faster and faster each time. He is always so concerned about what I am doing wrong when it comes to my diabetes, even if the reason i made the appointment was for something else. He half listens then shouts out a diagnosis even if is not related to anything. Three strikes your out.

I cannot thank you enough for releasing me from your so called care. You are the worst dr. I have ever had and having MS. That's. a lot. All you ever did was send me somewhere else. When someone has MS everything goes wrong and as a primary care YOU are supposed to treat them. Not deny them their medication and tell them to call the neurologist. Good riddance!
Doesn't listen to any thing. Comes in to the office assuming he knows exactly what's going on. Doesn't examine any issues thoroughly or at all. Spends less than 5 mins with you. I can't believe he is even a doctor. Has no empathy or care at all for his patients.
Very nice man, but waiting 2 months to get in as a new patient and being assured to same day appointments only for them not to schedule same day and want to book you days out is very disheartening- especially the first time you need in. Might as well put in now for another new patient appointment somewhere else. This is why people go to urgent care. TERRIBLE! I heard so many great things about this Dr. and thought why not give him a shot, I needed answers and results and was told this guy would be my answer because my face and arms were going numb for no reason randomly. I show up to his office and check in - front desk ladies were unenthusiastic and not very happy and I now know why. I get back to see Dr. Dean and he had me in tears within the first 5 minutes of our visit. He told me it was all in my head and that its just stress and anxiety, gave me a piece of bubblegum and called in a therapist during our appointment! I had seen a Rheumatologist before him who ruled out Lupus but my Thyroid was really high and he wanted Dr. Dean to check it out, I printed out ALL of my Lab results and tests from previous Doctors and took them to him so he can reveiw, he didn't care to even take a look at them, instead he ran THE SAME TESTS on me which costed me more money. I DO NOT recommend this Dr. he is rude, insensitive and his bedside manner is terrible, not to mention every other word out of his mouth is a curse word. TERRIBLE! I was assigned Dr Dean when my Dr left Warren Clinic Owasso. I had problems from the first appointment with him not listening to me. I know my body and my history, but his "opinion of my records" was more important. I refused to see him unless I had to get refills (I went to after hours when I was sick). I'm guessing the bad ratings are from those he treated as wall coverings.

Excellent care. Have been a patient for over 2 yrs. Have always been able to get an appointment when needed. Dr Dean is thorough and takes the time necessary to understand and explain my condition. His staff is courteous, friendly and very competent. I recommend him to friends and family.

I saw Dr. Dean for my 1st time to set up PCP, he was super thorough, answered all my questions, advised if I have an emergency he will fit me in same day, he reiterated that several times. Spent over 45 minutes with me explaining a lot of things concerning my recent health concerns etc.

Dr. Dean was thorough. He shows genuine concern and is adamant about assuring me that I could get into see on a same day appointment if the need arise. He is very experienced yet very approachable. It's nice to see those qualities in a doctor.
