Dr. Robert Irving Garver JR.

Now that Dr Garver is no longer my lung doctor, I realize how outstanding he is. I’m seeing another lung doctor in Dothan (well, a nurse practitioner, since I’ve never seen a doctor there) and I just miss Dr. Garver. Please come back, Dr. Garver!

Dr. Garver is a bit gruff in his bedside manner but takes very good care of my mother. She’s feeling better than she’s felt in years, and it’s all because she started seeing Dr. Garver. Also, his staff is friendly and caring.

My husband had been to several doctors over the last year. He was coughing to the point of turning blue sometimes similar to asthma attacks and coughing up blood. Dr Garver basically told us we’d seen too many doctors and he didn’t want to get involved and told us he didn’t read any of the chart information we’d sent over prior to examination. He ordered a CBC which several other docs had ordered and sent us on our way to recheck in 2 months! Waste of time after waiting 2 hours past appt time!

I wish I had started seeing Dr Garver long before I did! My lungs wheezed 24/7 for over 10 years. I could hear and feel it. Now I may go over a week without coughing. When I do have an acute episode, he has never failed to take care of me.
