Very good Dr it’s terrible he retired from Tahlequah area and definitely difficult to find someone to replace him.

The receptionist is very rude. Doesn't seem to answer the phone and then blames you for missing an appointment that I never knew I had. She is lazy and you should just look for another doctor because he doesn't even seem to care either. My meds were doing the opposite effect and I tried to go see him, was but three minutes late and she said "sorry but he's not gonna be seeing you today" really rude. She ruins it for him. Shame of that woman for doing the line of work she does. She should go pick up trash like she is instead!! The receptionist is very rude. After refilling the wrong prescription and causing me to overdose on antipsychotics for four days in a row, I noticed what was wrong. I spent the rest of the week trying to get ahold of him to fix my medication. I was running low on what i initially needed and was starting to panic. I received no call back. I went to an appointment Monday morning, only to be told that it had been cancelled, very rudely by the office assistant. I was told that I should have received a notification that my appointment was cancelled, and yet I got nothing. I drove an hour to an appointment that was cancelled when i was completely out of medication. I sat up an emergency meeting with him over the phone to get my medications straightened out and to get back on the right track. After talking to me, and knowing that I had went through one of the most traumatic experiences of my life, I waited almost 9 hours for him to send my prescriptions to the pharmacy. Dr. Hensley knew I was out of medication and suffering badly, as we had discussed earlier that day. Your job is to help people in behavioral health, not make their mental health worse. Great so cages listens to you will only problem I have is he does have a refill line and check on weekends or on days that he’s closed thank you

This guy told me I had a lying condition, that my dad didn’t really molest me the entire time I was growing up, I was a completely making it up. This person should not be around patients. I don’t need my doctor invalidating my trauma experience as that is not a path to healing. This guy should have been my advocate but he accused me of lying. Very Professional down to earth

Dr. Hensley is the best Dr. I've been to in all my 46 years. Actually talks with me and not rush me in and out!!!!! I wish he could be my primary!!!

I have never met a more understanding Dr. that will listen with patience and attentiveness, almost nonexistent amongst physicians these days, while forming an understanding of what is going on all the while possessing the skills needed to draw an accurate diagnosis and treatment best suited for your malady.

Staff are Very Polite, He is Very Professional. He has been great in the time I've been seeing him, I would Recommend Friend or Family to see him. Great Guy. Edit: I've been seeing Hensley for a while now and as someone with Asperger's I have a hard time with social ques and a strong dislike of people in general. But Dr. Hensley is a genuinely kind, understanding, & Decent man. I've never felt like I was just a walking Payday with problems like some of the other Doctors I've seen. If you value your mental health, please don't go to this man. During the short time I spoke with him, he refused to use the right pronouns, kept referring to his nephew as his niece, and told me things that made me more suicidal than I was going in. I should've walked out when I heard the conversation he was having with his nurse that he thought no one was paying attention to. He doesn't care about you as a patient. You're just a dollar sign to him. If you value your mental health, please don't go to this man. The best psychiatrist around. Hands down. He really cares and puts his clients first & foremost. God’s hand is on this man. I’ve recommended him to numerous people that I see struggling and have always been thanked by them afterwards.

Dr. Hensley is an awesome psychiatrist. He is kind and compassionate, he listens to my concerns and does everything he can to keep me taken care of. I have come a long way since I first saw him 3 years ago. I would recommend him without any reservations to anyone needing mental health sevices.

Conscientious, empathetic & professional. Dr Hensley really listens & will work streadfastly & patiently with his patients to remedy their mental/emotional issues.

U.S. Army Combat Vet 2009 OIF. Ive never been to anyone that makes me feel more listened too and cared for. Most down to earth guy ive met in ten years. Thank God almighty for the veterans choice program. I recommend him to anyone, but if your a combat vet sick of the VA thinking they know you better than yourself call the choice program, see if you qualify and GTFO of the VA system. They are detrimental to your claim and will destroy your dignity behind your back with sugar coated and falsified statements in regards to your well being. Love Hensley, I hope to see him indef. I've been going to Dr. Hensley for a couple of years now. He really takes the time to listen and ask questions so you feel as whatever treatment is discussed is truly a team decision. His office staff varies. Some are extremely rude and unprofessional while others are stellar and very professional. There isn't a middle ground when it comes to the office staff. Overall, I would recommend Dr. Hensley.
