Dr. Robert Dale Owen JR.

My appointment was canceled due to the weather unfortunately for me I travel from Florida 12 1/2 hours for this appointment. I went to the office the next morning for help however I had the misfortune of dealing with their office manager who lacks empathy and has zero compassion for patients. In my opinion she does not need to be in that position period. I accepted a appointment at a later date and left. The only thing that I did wrong was raise my voice. I never swore just raised my voice in the office that had no patients in as the doctor only works 2 days a week. Once I arrived home I received a dismissal letter written by the chief medical officer. When contacting hom he stated the office has a zero tolerance for harassment. He also indicated that the letter was from Owens. Nonetheless I am grateful to University of Kentucky for taking over my care and will replace my pump. My advice check the reviews first you certainly will find that University of Kentucky is more professional and has more knowledge. I’m a 2 time brain cancer patient and both times he’s done an amazing job removing the tumor and cancer! Best Neurosurgeon in my opinion

Dr. Owens is an excellent surgeon, he did three surgeries on me within six months. I had great recovery and he has given me wonderful care, I would definitely recommend him .

I choose to see Dr. Owen based on a friends recommendation and after seeing how satisfied my friend was with Dr. Owen. Dr. Owen was strait and to the point while also being informative and honest. Surgery went fantastic and I’d do it again if needed. It didn’t realize how much pain I was pushing through. Quality of life is 100% improved. Very happy with the outcome and very appreciative to Dr. Owen and his entire team! Thank you.

Dr Owen was recommended to be by Bluegrass Pain and spine Clinic . Dr Owen explained what I needed to have done to repair my spine. I am in less pain than I have been in 10 years. Is a great physician

Approximately 2012, I had herniated discs. Lots of pain in leg and lower back and unable to walk or sit. After waiting three months, my primary doctor referred me to Dr Owen. He was very conservative in treatment and also kind and explained everything in easy to understand terms. His office was quick to answer follow up questions and help with issues I had after surgery. I was one of a small percentage that required a second procedure. Dr Owen was sincerely upset that I had to undergo the procedure again but I had great success with the second procedure . I can now walk several miles at a time and am mostly pain free. Just occasional aches if I overdo physical and repetitive activities. I highly recommend Dr Owen and staff. My two uncle's have seen him and both had surgeries by him. Had the pleasure of meeting him after most recent operation and super nice, professional, took the time to explain in lay terms and answer any questions. Surgery successful, good job Dr Owen

Worst doctor I have ever been to, he was rude and did not care about my health or well being. He belittled me and made me feel like horrible during and after the appointment,

Explained condition clearly, let us know our options. Was very professional and helpful. Would definitely refer him to a friend.

Was easy to talk to. Didn't try to push surgery on me. And ultimately did a great job with the surgery once I decided to go forward with it!

Dr. Owen was recommended to me by a friend who had back surgery for the same condition I had. He operated on me and repaired the damaged area. I am very pleased at this time with the outcome. I highly recommend him.
