Great doctor. Has helped me out immensely

As far as expertise and medical knowledge goes Dr. Salazar is a great doctor. He is also caring and has brought hope to the elderly person I care for and he is doing everything he can to squeeze every last bit of oxygen out of my loved one's damaged old lungs so they can breathe a little easier, which in our case, every breath matters. I wish we had found him earlier. He is also very crafty in sourcing breathing /oxygen equipment that your insurance will pay for which frankly, other doctors are clueless about. For example, he found a supplier that offered a POC when the hospital referred supplier said they had none and gave us a clunky old self-refillable tank which did not work. Honestly, I can also see why he may not be everybody's cup of tea as well. He is intense and extremely well organized and detailed while taking notes. Also, depending on your condition, be prepared to take lots of tests and have follow-ups which can be overwhelming, but it's a purposeful process.

I had been very very sick with covid in the icu. DR Salazar was wonderful. Once I was released I had a hard time breathing but Dr Salazar got me feeling normal within weeks! He knows what he is doing. I work in a hospital and with doctors. Trust me Dr Salazar is very knowledgeable!

Dr. Salazar has terrible bed side manner. The other Google bad reviews related to the Dr. communication and attitude paint a picture of Dr. Salazar’s attitude. Dr Salazar was arrogant in his communications having very little empathy to allow me to ask questions about my concerns. No one goes to the Doctor for fun. I stopped seeing this Dr. Salazar because I will not pay for BAD Service. I had questions and the Dr Salazar was rude and interrupted me and not letting me ask questions related to medication and my care. Among the questions were related to prescription’s side effects ad interactions. Dr Salazar seemed to get offended that I asked simple question. He told me if I did not like his care, he invited to go find another Doctor, but never answered my questions. WOW. Who want to be spoken to disrespectfully? Ultimately, he ended up walking out of the exam room, abruptly telling me he was done. I never seen such unprofessional behavior from medical doctor. Dr Salazar forgets people have choices for their medical doctors. I will not pay for bad service and being treated like I am just a number and do not have the ability to have a discussion with my Dr. about my health care which I am paying for nicely. If you're a minority, don't come here. The doctor doesnt care for his patients. Wasted my time booking an appointment and had to wait more than an hour while other people who didnt book an appointment got to see the doctor before me. I've never seen anything like this. Discrimination at its finest..

Had such an absolutely terrible experience. It seemed like he was discriminating minorities. My grandma had an appointment yet some of his patients who were not minorities ended up skipping the line. I've never seen anything like this. My 92 year old grandma ended up waiting for more than an hour. Please don't waste your time with a doctor who does not care for his patients. Bad bedside manners, did not care to listen to my concerns, explain need to the tests, very opinionated, made judgments on my need for vaccination based on his own experience rather than statistics. The wait time was okay.

He has been my COPD doctor for years. He is direct and compassionate. A good caring, CHRISTAN man.

Did answer any of my questions concerning my health, talked with his back facing towards me. Prescribed me something I did not want and was not informed on what the medication was for and what side effects there may be. Dr. Salazar and his fine team: Ms. Christina and the ladies were fantastic. I felt a little rushed as first-time patient but they have always been super nice to me and all request/s were taken care of with excellent care and compassion treated just like family! I really love Dr. Salazar, he has super skills and super friendly a rare combination these days. He/They treat you with great respect and I feel comfortable suggesting anyone to utilize this office and feel great doing so!! I was re-diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and on my way to getting a better quality sleep and just feeling overall better with my diabetes etc. thanks to finding a great Doctor who is pretty thorough. I would like them to ask me if I have any other concerns or issues before leaving though. The ladies at the front are absolutely fantastic!! Nicest and super sharp in all areas!!!

Dr. Salazar has been my doctor for around 19 years and I would not go to another doctor. I went to a different one in Katy when we first moved here. Had to leave there, didn't like at all! Dr. Salazar helped to save my life several years ago and has kept me alive ever since. He is caring and will not rush you through the appointment. I would never go to another pulmonary doctor!!! This Dr doesn't appreciate his patients time and effort it takes to get to Dr apts.My husband has seen him for about six months and have never been seen on time or even close.He talks to you with his back facing you while he is typing.And we're fed up with this guy, will be finding a Dr who appreciates his patients and their time too.My advice would be find another Dr..No need to put up with Drs like this, there better choices out there and you deserve the best. Do not come here if you are looking for a practitioner that at least acts like he cares. This is my second visit to this doctor. After waiting almost an hour, I calmly asked him to please talk to me and interact with me because I didn’t feel like he was answering my questions about what had been going on with me for nearly 6 months. His response was that he’s a doctor and he can multi-task. If you don’t like it then you can get another doctor. I’ve worked as a medical coder for doctors for my entire adult life and have never had such a horrible experience. I said I knew he had to document, I was not trying to say he was wrong or not listening to me but that I wanted to be treated like a human being coming to him for help. His answer was a flat “do you want me to order a test or not? I walked out and he walked out behind me but I guess I wasn’t walking fast enough so he felt the need to brush past me to get to the next patient. I calmly asked him to please talk to me and interact with me because I didn’t feel like he was answering my questions about what had been going on with me for nearly 6 months. I have been going to Dr. Salazar for a few years now. I can call the office when I am having a problem with my COPD and they will get me in to see him the same day. Not many Drs. do that any more. My previous lung specialist was impossible to get into without an appointment at least 2 months ahead. I live 150 from Katy Tx and it is worth the drive to get to the right doctor.

Both times I went to see Dr. Salazar I waited over an hour. It would have been fine if he had simply apologized for the wait. He spent less than 15 min with me and I left not knowing why I snore which is why I went there in the first place. This was after my sleep study showed no apnea.

I cannot begin to express how grateful I am that Dr. Salazar found us in the ICU unit with my husband. In less than a month my husband has been actually sleeping better at night. Doctor is extremely passionate and knowledgeable in his field, he is more excited than we are about my husbands sleep trend. Sleep study went on without any complications, medical equipment company Tech came out and spent at least 3 hours explaining everything about the c-pap machine he is using. Dr. Salazar is awesome, this is the experience I wish everyone had if they are suffering from sleep apnea. Dr. Salazar has been a God-send to my husband, not only because of his lung issues, but his sleep apnea as well. He is very caring and has handled the lung/breathing issues of my husband with his upmost expertise and knowledge. My husband is very critical of most doctors, but he just loves Dr. Salazar and feels he is the best doctor ever. We highly recommend him!
