Went to an eye appointment with Dr. Snyder this morning and let me say it was very upsetting. First of all, I never saw the doctor sanitize or wear gloves and he used the one finger with a bandaid on it to examine and get near my eye which made me feel very uncomfortable. He began the appointment with asking me, and my mom who was with me, if we’ve had our COVID shots which was a little odd to us since it had nothing to do with my eye exam. I was going to move past this but then he continued to spend the next 5 min of our appointment trying to tell us why we should get it and force his opinions on us. I found this very inappropriate since he does not know the reasons or beliefs behind our decisions and again it has nothing to do with the appointment I came in for. I am aware that it is allowed for him to ask if we have been vaccinated but him harassing me for the next 5 min about why I should get it was very inappropriate. After this, he continued to examine the part of my eye that we came in for and did not even do a full examination. I have been getting my eye examined by Dr. Snyder since 2016 and every appointment, there are pictures done and occasionally an ultrasound on a mole on my eye that I check up on yearly to make sure it does not become cancerous and confirm that it is still benign. This is very important and if he were to miss something or not do the full examination, it could be very dangerous for me. All he did in this mornings appointment was quickly glance at it and moved on without doing any more tests or photos that we normally do. This is now resulting me to go to a different retinal specialist in order to get the full examination I went in for. That means having to pay for two exams and taking more time out of my day. Took my father in lawyers for a check up. Great doctor and staff.

Needed an appointment right away for a potentially serious eye problem. He fit me in, found and treated retinal tear. He, and his team, were efficient, professional and compassionate.
