Dr. Robert Eugene Watson

Dr Watson is a highly competent, caring, and compassionate psychiatrist. He manages my complex medication needs, making changes as needed. He is kind and easy to work with. I felt immediately calm and comfortable when I met him. I’ve been a patient for almost 10 years. He’s seen me through some very difficult times in my life. Dr Watson makes time in his schedule when I’m really struggling, which I appreciate greatly. His approach is gentle, yet direct. I’ve learned so much from him and continue to do so. He works on coping skills as well as fine tuning my medication. He takes a whole person approach, advising on lifestyle, diet, and exercise, not just medication. I find that really helpful. Dr Watson is wonderful. I highly recommend him.

I was among the first patients Dr Watson saw when he transitioned from being a child psychologist for the Bellingham Public Schools. I I wish to thank him for the communication skills he taught me and my husband. Thank him for the support in our parenting a child with asthma! Our children and grandchildren are doing well. I remember a symbolic print he had hanging in his office of work horses bringing in the hay as the snow started to fall. The title was something like “time for changing to a sled.” The snow is beginning to fall in my husband’s and my life. His ALS is rapidly progressing. His speech is unintelligible and communication is frustrating. Tomorrow I am going to meet a psychologist via video on my iPhone. I am so thankful for the emotional education that Dr Watson taught.
