This doctor has no idea what he’s doing. I’d genuinely think a mentally unstable ostrich could do a better job.

I saw Dr Robert Wu just a few days ago and I personally love the small dr office. He has years of experience and it shows. I'd recommend him to family and friends. I also had the best experience with his very thoughtful staff who had no problem taking my Tufts Heath Insurance from masshealth.

The office is a wreck. The secretary doesn't even know what a medical clearance release form is. How is that possible???

This "doctor" has no idea what he's doing, when I asked him for something as simple as a referral to see a specialist at a different hospital(the one he recommended could not give me an appt for 3 wks) he simply lied to my face telling me that my insurance will not cover it. He said If I go to another hospital and I'm willing to pay everything out of pocket then I'm free to go anywhere I want but he will NOT give me a referral to ANY hospital other than the one he recommended. It doesn't matter even if you're dying of cancer or have some other terminal diseases. I asked the reason why and he said that's just the way it is, the problem is with my insurance policy(I have Medicare)and I should go complain with them. I laughed in his face, left, switched to another PCP. I told my new PCP what happened and the reason why I need to see a specialist. She agreed that I should have someone look at ASAP and immediately give me the referral to see another specialist at a different hospital. She actually told me I can pretty much go to any hospital or see any specialist in the state of MA and my insurance will cover it. I knew it was a lie from the very beginning only because one of my family member works at a clinic. I can only imagine how many patients got screwed by this so-called doctor. I have noticed this kind of practice in quite a few other doctor's offices as well (Those one doctor only clinic) Usually those doctors are affiliated with only one hospital and they will only send patients to that ONE hospital only, regardless how urgent the patient's condition and the worst part is if you ever ask about going to a different hospital they will almost say anything from lying about your insurance doesn't cover it or even as far as threatening you by saying they can't guarantee your safety by sending you to a different hospital...LOL really? All of this just because they didn't want to be troubled by the inconvenience of dealing with another hospital they're not similar with and they never even bother to train their staff on how to do referrals to different hospitals. In a nutshell your health vs their convenience they ALWAYS pick the 2nd one. Do yourself a favor just stay away from those small clinics run by only one doctor and go to a community health center.
