Dr. Rodney Ray Lange

Utter dissapointment. Very rude,abrasive, and rushed. Spent 4min with me. Very very poor bedside manner. Completely uninterested in anything patients says. Destroys any Hope you might have for your condition. Disrespectful, kept rolling his eyes, looking at his watch? Rude to my parents, did absolutely nothing for us. My family left feeling so bad’ not a word whole way home. And we’re local people of the community? Utter,Total DISSAPOINTED. Since when did Drs become so intentionally rude and outright combative. BSW, pays their Drs 75% Below Average;all we can assume is you get what you pay for. Garbage’ Will Never be Back,Ever. Under any circumstances. Will see Chiropractor before them;At least they don’t take your Hope Away.

Completely and utterly undermined my pain. He basically said it was all in my head because of my mental illnesses. I'm suffering from severe lower back and leg pain, how is depression and anxiety the cause of that? Simple. It isn't. He just wanted an excuse to basically write me off and send me on my way. At least I'm finally getting an MRI done. Maybe then they might actually care. I have never been so humiliated in my entire life. I was in so much pain the day I saw him I had to use a cane! I wasn't listened to, I wasn't cared for, I wasn't anything but humiliated. I was sent here to a PAIN SPECIALIST because of how severe the pain. I have jumped through every hoop and it's still not enough. This hospital, and specifically this doctor, should be ashamed of themselves. Completely and utterly undermined my pain. If you THINK Lange is going to help your pain, guess again. I tried 3 times to have my neck injected- they don't even numb it first IF you are a Vet. They add something to numb it to the Steroid and inject it rapidly- NO NUMBING at all. I was screaming and Lange just stared at me like I was a baby. I agree with the other patient- I wouldn't let a Dog suffer anyway, but you get my point. VETS BEWARE! If you THINK Lange is going to help your pain, guess again. The man made me feel like I'm 16 again ~50 yr old double amputee

I’ve seen Dr. Lange for almost a year, and I’d recommend him to anyone. I appreciate his willingness to listen, and he has such a caring and genuine bedside manner. I’m so grateful to be in his good care!

Very Disappointed. This Doctor has no compassion and is rude with no consideration for the patients point of view. On one occasion a member of his staff lied and altered my record to my detriment. She was caught. From then on, Dr.Lange has not treated me appropriately. Not caring about my discomfort. He's the only pain Dr. @ bsw in Temple. Would not recommend Dr.Lange.

Dont care for this place at all.. Waited 5 months in pain to wait even longer.

Don't EVER go to this Dr. I couldn't figure out why when he did my nerve burnings I never got pain relief and I had increased pain for months afterward. Once I moved back to Austin and saw my original Dr again, he said Dr. Lang was burning THE WRONG NERVES!! Also it seems barbaric to burn nerves with the patient awake! I never had to go through that until I started seeing Dr Lang. I moved here from out of state and was on pain management in my home state. Because of my condition and medications, I had to go to a pain management clinic which i expected since i was going to one at home for the last 5 years. In this clinic You see a PA first and he tells you what he is going to recommend to the Dr and then when the Dr comes in he goes completely left field of what the PA said. The male PA and Dr. LANGE's beside manner sucks. He is VERY rude and disrespectful. They make personal opinions instead of looking at all the medical evidence. He took me off my medication that I have been on for the last 5 years because of his personal opinion....I wouldn't recommend my dog to Dr. LANGE or his PA I moved here from out of state and was on pain management in my home state. I have had two major surgeries, a few other ones also. The two major ones have gone bad, both of which cause me daily pain. Dr. Lange has seen me all steps of the way to reduce my pain. He is very patient and always discusses with me alternate ways to reduce the on-going pain. I feel Dr. Lange is a welcomed and I hope permanent doctor at Temple’s pain clinic. I highly recommend him. Thank God for Dr. Lange. He finally has me on the treatment I needed for my chronic pain issues. He is my doctor for life.

Dr Lange has been my pain management Dr since he was in Marble Falls. I was very pleased he came to Temple. I highly recommend him .

What a joke and waste of my time!Was called less than 24 hours before appt saying bring a driver for a procedure.Mind you, I'd never seen this Dr. I told them no procedure until I spoke to the Dr and had a plan.Got to the office had to inform them again no procedure.A PA told me in four minutes what the Dr would not do for me.The arrogance; to think one will follow blindly. What about patients input? It is our body; not theirs.I left informing the PA "This Dr is not a good fit for me." Be aware!

This doctor was very disrespectful and rude to me in front of my daughter. I told him that I didn't want to take Lyrica during the day because it makes me feel intoxicated and I don't feel comfortable driving my kids back and forth to school and I felt unsafe doing so. He said but you don't have any problems driving on narcotics. I told him I don't take narcotics, I take tramadol as prescribed by you and it doesn't have narcotic side effects. He insists on prescribing antidepressants and reducing medication indicated for use for fibromyalgia. He required that I go see a psychiatrist and a psychologist (to learn coping skills). I'm sorry but I can't just breathe through it like labor. The plan to reduce the medication came from his nurse practitioner instead of him. This doctor has had a lot of complaints according to the patient relations advocate. I don't recommend this doctor at all. If I could give him zero stars I would. This doctor was very disrespectful and rude to me in front of my daughter. He works at a pain clinic yet has no patience or compassion. I've been to hundreds of appts for a serious problem and I've never lost my cool, but he makes me want to scream. He talks very condescendingly and it feels like everything is a lecture. I told him my current meds weren't working and he told me that I'd made it this long with the pain so I must be okay, despite me making an ER trip a month ago feeling suicidal from the pain. Try your best to avoid!
