Dr. Tolar is very compassionate, knowledgeable and a wonderful personality.

Of all my years of experience going to see a Doctor, I have never had a more positive experience than this one with Dr.Tolar. What an amazing Doctor!

Patient churn, poor policies that force follow-on appointments, lack of knowledge, and puppy mill are terms that best describe this practice. Wish I’d researched Dr Tolar’s business before I entrusted them with my care. I’m an educated professional, concerned citizen and been around the block many times — unfortunately I trusted my care to these idiots. Dr Tolar, his PAs and nursing staff could benefit from an ego reduction, additional education, and reviewing their Hippocratic oath. Just a number here that needs to be processed and prescribed. It’s all about the money. I don’t entirely blame them, this is how they are taught by our medical system, controlled by insurance companies and the pharmacy industry but care, compassion, character, and competence could use a boost. Speaking of boost, stop pushing vax and drugs, you’re all blind to the truth or simply in it for the money, both I’m sure. Poor example of health care.

Husband had first visit today with Dr. Tolar. We are both impressed. Haven’t had this quality of care since moving to Keller. He is thorough and communicates clearly. This wife is breathing a sigh of relief that my husband’s health is in good hands.

Absolutely not. Terrible practice, terrible staff. Indignant, ineffective, zero concern for patient’s welfare.

12/4/2020 Saw Dr. Tolar for a total of 6 minutes. Renewed my prescriptions took my vitals and scheduled a 2/8/2021 physical. billed $323.00 for 6 minutes. All for preventative care that is covered by my insurance and only should cost a office visit fee of $35.00 per BCBS insurance from my employer. Would not recommend as this is gouging. My visit with Roger Tolar and his staff is always first rate. However, the lab visit the week before (10/13/2020) was a fiasco. Fasted the previous night for a fasting blood stick appointment at 8:30. Arrived & checked in, waited 15 minutes, then asked the receptionist if there was a problem; she said she would check. Waited yet another 15 minutes (for a 3 minute procedure) with no communication about the delay. FINALLY, after 45 minutes I was called back for the simple blood draw with no explanation. I will never step foot in this office again. Rather than giving a long story I will just say our requests were not followed through even though we were told it was not a problem and our children were asked very personal questions that have nothing to do with health. Went in for my annual well checkup in order to get a refill. No problems that needed any attention. Scheduled with Dr Toler and when I arrived I had a NP. He asked me three questions: how was I doing with current medication dosage? Any changes from last time? Any questions? Listened to my chest and back. Said see you in a year and I was done. 4 minutes and my visit was billed as extensive visit - changes in medical plan. Called to question the coding and spoke with Mary. She was very condescending and rude. I won’t return to the office. Makes me upset because I feel like if I had seen Dr Toler (who I asked to see yet was not scheduled to see) I wouldn’t be looking for another PCP. Disappointed. Tolar and his staff are always friendly and on time!!!

The office staff is great to work with. The Tolar is so much more then a primary care Doctor. He is amazing.

I am very pleased with Dr. Tolar and his staff. He has helped me with a health maintenance issue that was complicated by another provider. He is direct and helpful with all my questions.

Dr Tolar is very genuine and you can tell his first priority is to listen and take care of his patients. His staff is phenominal and very helpful, thank you for taking care of my needs!

1st appointment went great. He took his time and expressed that he wanted to get it right rather than fast. I already scheduled a follow-up, and consider Dr. Tolar to be my new PCP. The staff and scheduling were also top-notch, so they're reflected in this review too.

Dr. Tolar and his staff are very personable and attentive to your needs, wants, aches, and pains. He’s one of the few doctors out there that expresses genuine concern and shows an eagerness to get his patients feeling better. My only complaint is that I didn’t find his practice sooner. 11/10 would recommend!

Dr. Tolar is an incredible physician. His practice was recommended by my previous doctor who was retiring. Since becoming a patient I've been seen twice outside of a yearly check up. Both experiences were as good as you can ask of a doctor visit. He showed genuine concern for my ailments and was focused on finding the best overall solution and not just a temporary fix. If you have a physical injury, Dr. Tolar should be your first call. When I experienced a lumbar injury, Dr. Tolar's recommendations shorten my recovery time and got me back to 100% faster than I could have ever asked or expected. 15/10 would recommend Dr. Tolar and his staff.

I love Dr Tolar! He is very understanding and takes his time to listen to your symptoms and make a diagnosis. His staff is excellent! My wait time is usually less than 5 to 10 minutes and after the assistant has taken my vital, Dr Tolar come is a few minutes later. I have also seen Dillion, PA, and he is wonderful too! He is very friendly and competent! I feel very confident in him. He explains what is causing my symptoms and how to treat them! He is excellent! I highly recommend this clinic! My experiences have all been very positive!!

Dr Tolar was my primary care physician for a few years. In general I only went to him for my annual physicals. Almost on every occasion condition fell outside of a head cold Dr Tolar and his PA misdiagnosed my condition. My Urinary tract infection was diagnosed as an STD. in 2018 Dr Tolar completely failed to diagnose my blood cancer. It caused a fracture in my vertebrae & although I was sent to him by my Spine doctor to investigate the cause Dr Tolar completely dismissed it with no action to explore the cause or treatment for it. After I was diagnosed with blood cancer at a hospital, he was completely surprised to hear the diagnosis and asked me to explain to him how they found it. Then I realized how out of practice & uninformed he was. That was my last visit to him. His practice is solely focused on financials. Somehow I had ended up with a $4 balance on my acct and instead of calling me to settle it, they reported it to a collection agency. I do not recommend.

The office staff is very judgmental and Mary the office manager hung up on me when I called to inform her of the situation

Just felt like “another” patient - Script wasn’t called in properly - Mary the office manager was very unhelpful and asked me if I could “hear” her properly - She was very argumentative and refused to let me speak to Dr. Tolar for resolution.

Have called 6 times today, been in twice in last 10 days. Don’t get the impression Dr. Tolar or anyone up there cares sbout anything but volume and money. Have been sick for 7 days, told to call if not better. Not better. Called 6 times and nothing. I did get a call about paying a bill from Mary though. No thanks Dr. Tolar.

Great doctor who takes a very holistic approach; however be prepared to wait when you arrive.

Have been going to Dr. Tomar for 13 years, and they are always great. On time, concerned and great care givers.

My health checkup was fast, complete, and courtious. All labs ordered and my follow up already scheduled. Anxious to see the results.

I have only seen Dr Tolar once since becoming his patient. Since then I have seen PAs, Kelly and Casey. Kelly is extremely kind and friendly. I will not be returning to the office if I have to see Casey again. During visits he is extremely quick with his examination and has made me feel guilty for coming in. He has the worst bedside manner and I will not subject myself to his lack of care again. There are plenty of other doctors in Keller that actually care about their patients

Regardless of the type of visit you have and how much time you spend with a Dr. or PA, expect to be billed for one of the most complex office visits, a Level 4 CPT 99214. I've been there one week for a complex office visit with exam, prescriptions, tests, and been billed their standard $284, and I've been in just to be told "your blood work looked normal" and been charged the same Level 4 $284. Most of us have huge deductibles and paying 100% out of pocket. Urgent Care centers are way cheaper

Dr Tolar was a fine doctor but for years now his emphasis seems changed.He has continued to grow to the point where it is as if you are entering an emergency room on a very busy night rather than a doctor's office. He has added so many PA's-it's almost impossible to get an appointment with him. These PA's knowledge and professionalism vary from very good to terrible. Many employees seem stressed and unhappy. Errors just seem to be an everyday common occurrence for them. They "churn" patients.

I am someone who always gets nervous when going to doctor's offices, but I always feel at ease at Dr. Tolars' office. The office staff has always been great and personable. The nurses are friendly and make you feel comfortable. Also, Dr. Tolar is kind and wants to ensure your well being in all areas of health.

I met Dr Tolar when he was working his ER rotation many years ago. I always feel that he spends sufficient time with me and I have never had an issue getting appointments. He always finds the reasons behind the symptoms where others have just provided Rx's. He is a man of integrity and runs his practice on principles that I admire.

I saw one of Dr. Tolar's PA's. Great bedside manner and medical knowledge but it is this office's policies that will keep us from returning. After you pay for your appointment their policy requires that you pay for a second appointment to obtain your lab results, in my case for simple maintenance RX refills. In the 40 years of physicals and dr appointments for our family we have never encountered such a policy. They force you in to more appointments when a phone call would do. Seems unethical.
