Ronald Dee Horne

Ron Horne took his time with me. not like other dentists. We shot the bull for quite awhile, until my anxiety went away. Then he let a mutual friend come in and we spent awhile visiting. Not so crazy about his associates, but Ron is great.

I can honestly say Dr. Horne and his staff have been awesome. I had to have multiple extractions done due to gum disease. I have had several surgeries in my life and have a pretty good tolerance for pain. Except when it comes to the mouth. But other then the needles for the novacaine, the rest was not bad at all. I was shocked when dr Horne said he was done. I admit I am a big baby when it comes to having dental work done. And this was major work. But the whole staff was very accommodating and patient with me from making appointments to listening to my concerns. I even got a phone call the day after my procedure to see how I was doing. Not a lot of dr.s do that. So I appreciated the fact they did. So if you are in need of any work by an oral surgeon, I highly recommend dr Horne. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this is one that is well deserved. Thanks again to all of you for your great treatment and genuine concern for hind patients. Be warned, coming here is a health and safety hazard right now! I don’t usually write reviews but I feel passionately about the horrible policies they have in place. After scheduling an appointment in advance and bringing my brother to get his wisdom teeth out, he was kept waiting for 45 minutes before he was even seen or spoken to about the x-rays they needed to take. In the over 100 degree Austin weather, they required me (the person picking my brother up) to wait for over 2 hours outside in my car. This was completely dangerous and a risk to my own health and safety. They obviously haven’t put enough thought or care into their policies to come up with a solution that isn’t dangerous. I don't know if I can say that a tooth extraction was a great experience, but Dr. Horne and his team made it a very smooth and overall good experience. I had my #2 molar removed and even now, 4 days later I have had no bruising, barely any swelling, and hardly any pain at the extraction site. My only side effects have been a mild headache and a slightly sore jaw. I had an infection under my tooth that was causing bone loss and needed immediate extraction. Dr. Honre's staff were able to get me in the same day, came in a a lower cost than my other option (mind you I have great dental insurance), and said they'd accept my dentists x-rays which were taken a day before. The other oral surgeon that I called refused to accept my x-rays and wanted to charge me $250 just to take new ones and for. a consult! Plus they couldn't fit me in for 2 weeks! I noticed a 1 star review due to wait times... I'd wait all day for an experience like I had again. Thank you Dr. Horne and all your staff!
